Male Elf Cavalier/2

"Tis a pleasure to meet you, Lady Feona. would you care to join us for dinner?" asks Samisel. "It would be an honor."

Male Elf Cavalier/2
Quote:

Crystal smiles at the new halfing arrivals attitude. She looks up as Samisel talks, transferring her smile to him.

Forsooth but are you addressing Crystal, good sir?

"Aye, my lady, if you are Crystal, then I was indeed addressing Crystal, although, on closer inspection, I see my assumption of a familial connection to be obviously incorrect. I apologize for my presumption, but, if I have not totally repulsed you, I would still like to join you for dinner," replies Samisel, with a low, sweeping bow.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

"Make my steak medium-rare, if you would, Master Boomer. I travel to Absalom on orders from the Master of my order but there is no urgency to my mission. I would be honored to travel with the caravan and help provide provisions. Oronakh and I are quite accomplished hunters."

Samisel takes his drink and approaches the table where the newcomer sat. "I hight Samisel Donarion, cavalier. May I join you, sister?"

Male Elf Cavalier/2

"Well met, Lokprackash, Harapan. I hight Samisel Donarion. Do you also travel to Absalom?"

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Cocking one eyebrow at the Varisian's knowledge, Samisel bows again and says, "Thank you, my lady, the order's riding lizards are quite well-trained. Ornerohk has never eaten a horse or halfling yet."
Turning to Marik, "Supper would be most appreciated, the day's travel has been most taxing."

Male Elf Cavalier/2

The tent flap opens and a tall, armored figure enters the bar. He removes his helmet, revealing green-tinged silvery hair, pale skin, almond-shaped grey eyes and a ready smile. He places the helmet on the bar and turns to Betony and Zalania.
The slender elf makes a deep, courtly bow and says "Shade and Sweet Water, ladies. It is an unlooked for pleasure to meet such beauty on the dry and dusty road." Turning to the dwarf, he salutes with his fist on his breast and says "Well met, stout sir. I hight Samisel Donarion, cavalier of the Order of the Dragon, at your service."
Looking around, Samisel asks "Is the proprietor present? I would like to make arrangements for my mount."

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Nothing really gelled for me, sorry. :( Looking forward to Emm's surprise, though.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Imagination - Engaged!

Make it so!

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Have fun, GM!

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Naya, if you can, follow Rhone and see where he goes and to whom he speaks.

As Garion and Qarxan approach the booth, Garion says loudly, Rhone, I want to see your security setup. The High Command needs to be sure that Carmella is not going to escape.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Qarxan, it appears that the Wilds smile on us tonight. Having seen the young noble, can you disguise yourself now? He seems to have made quite an impression on the guard. If we act quickly, they should be more willing to overlook any minor inconsistencies. Be brusque and unpleasant. Demand to look over the records again to make sure nothing is being mishandled, make a distraction and we'll see if we can score our prize.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

I will be going on vacation for a week starting tomorrow, Tuesday. I will have my netbook so I won't be entirely out of touch but I might not be as prolific.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Perception Security Booth 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Perhaps, Qarxan, I should proceed to the security booth to see if I can help while you try to catch a glimpse of Rhone.

Also, the gambling rules have been posted in the OOC thread.

So far, I have the party divided as such:

Lynnara and Emmentian - pool
Talic and Deston - vault
Samisel and Qarxan - security booth

If this is not the case, please let me know

An excellent plan. Qarxan, a local ORCA officer or one of the Penderghasts, perhaps?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel turns to Naya and holds out his hand. When she takes his hand, he bows deeply, kisses her hand and says, Shall we, my dear?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel looks around at the booths and tables. We should unburden ourselves of some of this unwanted gear but I fear we have not the time tonight. I suggest we head to the Mermaid Lounge.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

If there doesn't seem to be a great hue & cry, we should drag the bodies into an alley, take the gold and the armor and retreat back to the inn. If we have drawn a lot of attention, we should just retreat.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Thank you again, Lynnara, says Samisel ruefully, I need to learn to duck, I think. You're right, Qarxan, we'd best get off the street. Perception check to see how people are reacting - 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Since my coat of arms is apparently a target, maybe Samisel should start wearing one of those MW armors. It won't help much now but it can be enchanted, at least. And since nobody seems to want the musket, he'll add that to his panoply as well. Here comes the cavalry!

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Ouch again! LOL
Samisel attacks the guard captain again.

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Damage 1d10 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 2 = 11

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel draws his blade, points at the guard captain and says, Come dance with me, knave!, then charges.

Challenge as a swift action.

Attack Charging 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 23
Attack if he can't charge 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Damage 1d10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
AC -4 (vs. anyone other than the guard captain)
AC -2 (vs. guard captain)

All allies get +1 melee attack vs. guard captain

Male Elf Cavalier/2

I don't think we want to fight these guards, it gains us nothing, Samisel says to his friends. He holds his ground but does not pull his sword.

Samisel will ready a charge attack if the guards are hostile, otherwise he will wait.

When did Talic become a dwarf?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Iniative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel steps back from the boy and motions to the others to come closer. We should release him and follow him back to his sister. Perhaps our appearance will shake loose some information. We should also ask around the bar for information about this Kat person. She sounds like the type people would notice, he whispers.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

I'm in Connecticut, in the US, so I'm on EDT or GMT-5. It does take a while to decide what the right thing to do is, there are a lot of options and you don't want to step on anybody's toes. :)

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel crouches down in front of Duncan. Good morning, child. You seem to have a quite unflattering opinion of us. Why would we want to kill you? We merely found you passed out drunk in our rooms. We tried to sit you in the chair but had to tie you down to keep you from falling out. What is your name, youngster, and why did you choose our common room to sleep off your carousel?

Diplomacy 1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 2 = 18

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Quite a hornet's nest we've stumbled into. Deston, just exactly how trustworthy is this 'old friend' of yours?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Hmm, Mr. Black seems not to have noticed you, Qarxan. I wonder if we can use that to our advantage?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

I don't know what armor or weapons Deston has. He, Lynnara and I are probably the only three that could use the armor. I wouldn't mind the musket but, GM, how do the elves feel about gunpowder? Should probably sell the net, since it's an exotic weapon that needs proficiency, isn't it?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

What are we going to do with the MW scimitars and armor?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Wishlist posted. (finally)

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Oops, I just realized the elven curve blade is a two-handed weapon so he would not have a shield except when he is mounted and using the lance. His armor class would be one less on foot.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Having grown up in the trees and hills of Verdan, my skills in the water are perhaps not up to the task of swimming underwater. Perhaps I might be able to act as a diversion in the casino?

Male Elf Cavalier/2
Emmentian wrote:
"He is a rare specimen, in which part of Verdan did you find him?"

Better late than never!

No one is sure where he came from, Emmentian. Ornerokh's egg was one of a clutch my order purchased from a trader who had never been seen before and hasn't been seen since. All the other eggs hatched perfectly normal riding lizards who bonded with other young initiates. Ornerokh's egg did not hatch with the others and I was assigned to dispose of it. For some reason, I kept the egg and, when it hatched three days later, Ornerokh and I bonded immediately. There were many among my order who felt he was too different and should be destroyed. Indeed, if my mission here does not go well, then both of us might be finished with the Order of the Dragon.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Thank you, thank you all. I can't imagine what those four were planning to do with a riding chameleon. They're not that common, Ornerohk would stick out like a giant in a halfing village. I raised him myself.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Samisel gasps at the pain but stares down his attacker. Well struck, knave! I like a good challenge! Samisel uses his Challenge ability aginst thief who struck him. (+1 damage vs. challenged foe, -2 AC against all others. Allies get +1 ATK bonus vs. the target of the challenge.)

Attack 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damage 1d10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 + 1 = 4
Edit: Crit confirm 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Crit damage 1d10 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3

The shared feat lasta for three turns so anybody flanking gets an extra d6 damage.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

As a standard action, Samisel uses his Tactician ablitity to grant Precise Strike to his allies. (Whenever you and an ally who also has this feat are flanking the same creature, you deal an additional 1d6 points of precision damage with each successful melee attack. This bonus damage stacks with other sources of precision damage, such as sneak attack.) He will then move 20' towards the enemy.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Yes, that is my mount! says Samisel as he draws his blade and rushes to rescue Ornerokh.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

A cavalier of the Order of the Dragon never abandons his companions. How do we approach Ruttledge?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

With a grin, Samisel looks at Talic, Can I assume, 'son', that you will want to rescue Carmella from durance vile? It seems like a worthy quest. I'll need to offload my mount and arrange stabling. I'll also need to check in with my superiors but that can be delayed.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Orren, what will ORCA do with Carmella now that they have her?

Perhaps something that attacked the ship, causing 'Dad' to be lost or need help?

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Talic, you little scamp! Your mother is beside herself with worry! Why must you run off like that? Have you been bothering the soldiers, son? Come along, come along. You have chores that need doing.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

Samisel sees Talic trying to make his way through the angry mob and realizes the impulsive young halfling might need a little help. He makes his way down the dock and starts to shove his way to Talic's side.

Samisel, here's the stats for your chameleon mount (what's his name again?)

Cool, thanks. His name is Ornerokh. According to some Elvish to English website it means tree horse.

Male Elf Cavalier/2

Thank Gaea! I thought this voyage would never end. It is good to fell solid ground beneath my boots once more, even if this place does reek of fish guts. Apparently we are not the only new arrivals today. I wonder what those fellows have brought?
