Samias was starting to think travelling with this circus wasn't worth the supposed safety of numbers. 'They have no guides or trackers?' He thought in tired disbelief.
"Badgers are solitary. We'll be out of their territory soon." He says in response.

Samias will look over the empty wagons, do they have any equipment set up for a cargo to collect? IE. Chains and manacles for slaves?

Samias aims and looses with his crossbow, knowing the Dire Badger will attack anyone it can see with bloody-minded savagery.

Samias rolls to his feet, taking a look at the beast. "Take it easy." He calls softly. "It hasn't attacked anyone yet, it's just hungry."

Samias will tell George that there is something nasty in the area, telling him about the tracks he picked up.

"No, something is wrong here." Samias states. "Most caravans are happy to have extra guards along. Especially those they don't have to pay. This Mercenary sounds unhappy to have guards along that aren't his. As if he's got something planned perhaps?"

When he goes out hunting for the pot Samia's will take the chance to casually look over the guards while passing them.

Survival (Hunting): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Perception (Checking out the guards): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

Returning with some rabbits for the pot.

Throwing together a tasty stew.

Anyone else got any skill at cooking? Samias learnt in self defense as he's out on his own most of the time. :)

40 mercenaries is a lot. Is this a large caravan?

Samias shrugs, he's happy to range ahead of the caravan and hunt for the pot. "Trying to extort a business he owns stock in? That's an odd thing to do."

Samias makes sure he's dusty and grimy, looking tired as he passes the gate. Trying to look like a regular guard on the caravan.

When she's not looking Samias gives Adriala a very suspicious look. Something about her survival and joining the caravan strikes him as too convenient?

Samias places something that will make a noise if the door is opened in the night, and then spreads his bedroll out and sits on it, checking his equipment and cleaning his weapons.

"Be a good idea to have watches." He suggests as he works.

"Food, water, clothing for the heat." Samias turns to the mistress. "This caravan. Are we working our way, or are we passengers?"

Anyone have create water? That'll be the most useful magic on a desert trip.

Nope, just waiting impatiently while the city slickers babble on about things. :)

While he's standing around looking all grim and purposeful it's actually pretty easy to see that Samias is uncomfortable with both cities and groups of people.

"The consortium has put up enough posters around to get the jackals greedy." Samias finally stops looking around suspiciously enough to talk.

They don't need to do more than watch the bounty hunters and see where they go to find us. Being loud and dramatic is asking to get killed at the moment."

He shrugs uncomfortably. "I came into town looking for information and got more than I wanted. Looks like getting out isn't going to be as easy as I hoped."

I'm unclear on what's happening. Is Samias ready to go, or is he still just watching. And the RNG hates me again, one roll over 10 would have been nice.

Samias is a bit uncomfortable in this environment, his eyes constantly scanning the room even as he speaks to Karla. He nods when she indicates the new arrival, and tells her. "One of the dancers on stage has a glamour on him. Anything you can tell about it?" Indicating the specific dancer.

I lived in NZ when I was a child. I visited for about five weeks back in 2005. You live in the most beautiful place I have ever visited. =)

Where did you live and visit? It's a weird thing but many young New Zealanders immediately head overseas as soon as possible, I've been to Australia, Argentina and Italy for visits, but can't imagine living anywhere else.

Even if it is cold, wet and windy at the moment. Those of you who get snow for winter can now mock me.

Samias will try the private booth, if it's occupied he'll slink away to behind the crowd.

Even though he's cleaned up Samias still looks a bit out of place here. He's clearly from the wilds.

Samias will quietly enter and head upstairs after giving the lower room a paranoid check. He takes his drink and finds a spot out of view that lets him see most of the room. But not the stage. :)

He nurses his drink and keeps looking over the room, being hunted has left him a touch trigger happy and he's trying not to look like someone with something to hide.
