Don't dot this thread! I got a new one here: My gameplay thread for you all :) Figured it was easier than GM G can simply close this one.

Thread's up! Not much else in there, but the thread's there. Get all situated and we'll get started soon! http://paizo.com/campaigns/GMBPCsScionsTrilogyPbP/gameplay&page=last

@Aspex: That is an option as long as your PC is level 1. At level 2 plus, you either have to hold the credit or apply it to another PC (or think you'll have the survivability at level 2 and play Aspex). Scions 1:
Scions 2:
Scions 3:
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Either or Benson/Shasta. You were up for playing the bard before :) The APL is 2.6, which rounds to 3. Because it's a 6 person party, it'll be high tier, but with 4 player adjustments, which helps somewhat. Regardless, I do suggest planning accordingly and preparing additional countermeasures.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Well, biggest risk would be dead PC, and since I see this is an aasimar, you'll have trouble replacing her. Unless someone else objects, then I'll allow it. If you want to use a pregen and apply the credit to Aspex, though, I can do that, too.

@Aspex: You can play if you wish, it will be incredibly dangerous. I won't force you. And if we have Gob Thinking of Arrested Development now... c'mon!, then we'll do the Scions series. I'll be ready by Friday at the latest. So far, welcome to the group Gob (and maybe the foolhardy/brave Aspex).

Fair enough, thanks G! Okay, I finally have a bit of breathing room to review scenarios. The options are: 1. I can run the Scions set for you all.
Please let me know first if you have played any of those, and what your two favorite options are from what you haven't played. Thanks!
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
@Marduk: The Qinggong monk archetype actually can be at any time until you hit level 4. This is because the archetype doesn't kick in until level 4 when you can swap abilities. In fact, it's the only archetype that you can take and never use. :)
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
@Marduk: For you, there are three solid ways to boost your AC. 1. Get a wand of Mage Armor and a couple of potions in case for some reason, there's no arcane caster capable of using it (like oddly enough, this party). That's a +4 armor bonus for 1 hour in either case. If you do want to use it on your own, a single level dip in Bloodrager will keep up your BAB, allow the use of several useful wands, give you the ability to bloodrage for more damage and HP if you need it, and either boost your speed, give you a boost to your CMB (Steelblood archetype, although that isn't quite flavorful), or grant you an Improved combat maneuver bonus feat (Blood Conduit archetype, which is actually flavorful and potentially useful). In either case, if you do go for a bloodrager dip, the Elemental bloodline seems to pair well with your 4 winds monk archetype. Point is, use the mage armor! 2. Crane Style feat, Snake Style Feat, or Snapping Turtle Style feat. Crane Style will give you more bang for your buck (+4 Dodge to AC/CMD for a -2 attack penalty) while Snapping Turtle gives a flat +1 shield bonus with no penalty as long as you have a hand free. Snake Style allows you to use an immediate action to use a Sense Motive check as your AC for one attack, which can be useful, although it will burn up your swift actions and you need those for ki stuff. 3. Take the Qinggong archetype, replace something (Slow Fall or Wholeness of Body are my favorites) to gain Barkskin as a spell-like ability that costs 1 ki point per use. That'll grant a scaling natural armor bonus, which helps since if you use the Amulet of Mighty Fists later, you won't be getting the Amulet of Natural Armor. Plus side, this'll stack with mage armor nicely. Other options include ring of protecetion (2K for a +1 ring), or potions of shield of faith (+2 deflection for 1 minute).

Hey guys, so I JUST noticed this thread as the other one closed while I was at Denver Comic Con a couple of weeks ago.... I'm up for continuing the misadventures of Saitama though, if it's still not too late!
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Many apes! Beaten down. Much success! Wow!", Saitama chants about their new victory against the primate threats. "Much graciousness to you, Wyeth!", upon his heals. "Such great strength of steel you have Mr. Benson! Your meditation to conserve your strengthiness served you well and should be an example for the others. I do suggest trying the gangnam stance next time, though.", Saitama squatting to the ground so that his thighs are parallel to the ground and his back straight. "And good show to you too lil Raevin!", patting the slender man on the back. "Although you are weak in frame, you are strong in bravitude!" Raevin/Benson; if you haven't yet, I do suggest looking into the Unchained Rogue. You will only gain awesome things from doing so; at the very least, free Weapon Finesse. At 3rd level, then free Dex to Damage with one type of finesseable weapon of your choice. There's still a free rebuild from regular Rogue to Unchained Rogue, including replacing any affected feats and equipment (so replacing your Weapon Finesse feats with something else for example).
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Saitama, bloodied from the latest monkey strike, glares menacing before winding his arm, to unleash... the SERIOUS PUNCH! Serious Punch @ adjacent ape: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 5 - 1 = 15
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Actually Marduk, if you're disabled, you withdraw as a standard action if that's all you can take; in which case you can only move up to your normal movement speed. However, performing any standard action while disabled causes you to take 1 point of damage afterwards. So you could use it to get farther away, although you'll collapse afterwards. Finally, total defense is a standard action, too, so that should drop you. However, since you're technically before me anyway, you could 5' step away, then I can 5' step in and take over your spot (and monkey heat, too!)
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Bad monkeys! Stop undoing the healitude!", Saitama turn around and punches the monkey in front of Marduk. Anti-primate punch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Whoops, I completely forgot about this! Saitama moves to Marduk with wand in hand, shouting. "Irori says, 'HEALITUDE'!!!" CLW wand @ Marduk: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Mr. Benson! This is no time for meditative muscle time! Mad monkeys mount a mountainous march!", Saitama shouts at Benson as he rouses from whatever affected him. Grabbing his last chakram, he chucks it at the nearest apeman after Marduk approaches. Now back to back with the half-orc, he asks, "By the by, do you know Praying Mantis?" First thing that popped into my head. Chakram @ monkey: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Odd, I know I posted... it musta gotten eated! Saitama winds up and waggles his finger powerfully at the monkey that hit him. "Nooooo bad!" Iroran waggle strike: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Take some more Iroran justice you damn, dirty apes!", Saitama shouting as he runs for the flying anti-monkey dragon kick! Saitama charge @ north ape: 1d20 + 5 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 5 + 2 - 1 = 11
AC is 16 for the round
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Saitama grabs patented Iroran Healing Stick of Healing HealynessTM CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 "Alright, I'm ready for more capuchin crushing!", the paladin looking at the giant six-armed ape with a foolishly determined grin on his face.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Saitama places a hand on his monkey-induced injuries and proceeds to unleash... the SERIOUS punch! Lay on Hands healing: 1d6 ⇒ 2
He then steps back a few feet after finally punching a primate.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Nice :)
After Marduk's powerful combo, Saitama nods. "Good show! Benson will be sad he will miss all the fun!"
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Saitama runs forward to the closest monkey, flinging a metal disc at it. "Take this you overgrown helper primate!" chakram @ right monkey: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
I know it's a total waste but... Seeing the giant six-armed gorilla, Saitama looks at Marduk and nudges him. "Dibs." Swift action to activate Personal Challenge at the giant monkey.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"That thing's a dingus? I thought it was a box?", Saitama confused. I assume Benson would have the box since he last inspected it, but if Benson's leaving without it and no one else is grabbing it, Saitama will. It's not good to litter after all.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Raevin's idea for boxing isn't a terrible; I mean, it took a normal punch pretty good, so I imagine that evil demon monkey faces would falter to BOX JUSTICE!", Saitama's cape somehow billowing in the non-drafty tomb environment.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Yes! Strength of words can be as powerful as strength of arms or foot or other muscularly parts!", himself oblivious to the joke or the full meaning of Marduk's statement as he walks towards the exit.
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 12 "Hark! The sounds of horns cometh!", Saitama pointing to the exit. "Perhaps we should take that with us and investigate; our abilities to punch primates may be needed!"
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Perhaps there's something inside? I can't read these darn things and the only thing we got as old as this box is that key thing my fellow Iroran has! I appreciate to hear the strength of any new ideas you may have Mister Raevin!"
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Huh, I was thinking there would be something more... mighty, this being Azlanti stuff.", Saitama ponders aloud. Not having any other ideas, Saitama muses, "I was told that if you aren't sure of what something is, perhaps a tap of knowledge would improve the situation.", before punching the box-like object. PUNCH of Edumacation!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
"Much better!", Saitama nodding at Marduk's success. "JUSTICE PUNCH!", he shouts as he punches at the next skeleton. JUSTICE PUNCH!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
M Human Iroran Paladin 4 HP: 36/36 AC:18 Touch: 14 FF: 14 F/R/W: +8/+5/+6 CMD: 22 Percep: +1 Init: +2 Personal Challenge 2/2 Lay on Hands 4/4
Saitama runs up to the skeleton Marduk attacked and exclaims, "No, like this my Iroran brother in arm strength!", swinging his fist towards the skeleton's chest. PUNCH!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
However, Saitama's blow goes right through the empty space in the rib cage. "If there was muscleatude on this thing, that woulda worked...", he pouts. |
