Rynner switches over his A.I. to combat tracking and moves forward to stand behind Compucast, then draws his laser pistol.

Apologies for my absence. Unexpected company over the holiday coupled with 48 hour stomach flu/food poisoning has kept me incommunicado. Catching up today.

Rynner glances over at Breq as his companion speaks into his comm. Seeing Breq deftly use the computer, he nods. "Very impressive...." He remarks then goes back to staring at the terminal display.

Computers (aid?): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12

@GM: was just checking computer records to find a suitable corpse that sokmewhat matched Ceren's description.

Seeing what Compucast is doing, Rynner logs in and tries to aid.

Computers Aid: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Rynner nods at Hesperio's suggestion, then jacks into the computer to check morgue records.

Rynner nods to Breq, and starts to speak, but quiets when Ceren begins speaking again. When she finishes, he thinks for a moment, then says. "You claim to have faked a death before. If we were to help you, do you think you could advise us on the best....program to accomplish the goal?"

Rynner begins to wonder if the computer trace was fooled by a shell computer. He looks around, concerned authorities may be called in as a group of adults harass a young child. "This is not making sense......"

Rynner, upon entering, nods to Historia, then quietly listens. After she has spoken, he watches the exchange between the Vesk and the Lashunta with detached interest, then checks his comm unit and says. "Coordinates received, we shall endeavor to comply with your wishes if speed and discretion."

With that, he turns and begin heading out the door....

"If no one has a preference, I suggest we report to the Dataphiles for further instruction." Rynner remarks.

Rynner nods, finding Compucast's hypothesis sound. "Seems logical."

He grabs his tool rig and attempts to help.

Engineering: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Rynner looks up from the terminal and over his shoulder at Storyn. "I do not believe that tactic will meet with success."

Glancing toward the doorway, he says. "Perhaps the children can lure it into the box...."

Seeing his companions attempting to corral the alien bug, Rynner continues working at the terminal trying to reestablish more systems.

Computers (if needed): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Rynner studies the room while trying tonconcieve of a plan. "I can attempt to restore functionality to the computers, but will likely being little use in drawing out the creature, though.....perhaps turning on the ventilation will force creature out. As well, there may be information about the creature if we access the data system."

If the party agrees, Rynner will try to sneak into the room and bring the systems back online.

Rynner follows Compucast, curious to spot the xenoform.

Rynner turns to the children and asks, "Can you describe the....worm-y...in more detail? In addition, can you explain how you rigged the foam sprayers?"

He then turn his attention to the childrens' contraption.

If the children describe the creature, Rynner attempts to access his long term data storage to recall any information he may have on said life form.

Life Science?: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

Rynner watches the interaction with the children with distracted interest, but then noticed Breq looking around. "I believe the controls are in the adjacent room." He looks around just to confirm.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Rynner cocks his head at the sound, then scans the room, looking for the younglings.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

Walking along and scanning his surroindings, Rynner glances up at Breq's report and question. Thoughtful for a moment, he shakes his head. "I hadn't taken notice. The musculature does seem to correspond to the female of the species..." He pauses in his speech to turn and examine both lashuntas.

.....while the other seems to better adhere to the defined physiology of the male variant of the species."

Rynner stops speaking and continues to walk down the corridor.

Fifty or so paces later. "I usually take little notice in the sexual dimorphism of species, though I have found it can sometimes act as a marker of predictable behavior patterns of a species."

Rynner moves toward the terminal, but stops short as Breq quickly addresses the problem. Peering at the terminal, he says. "It appears we need to enter the Auxillery Storage room, and also address the reason for the two miniature humanoids in the adjoining room."

He then heads toward E40-909.

Rynner listens to the dronecast of the Ysoki as his eyes dart across the bay taking in all the engineering and mechanical sights. Once the drone leaves he heads for the nearest elevator that will get the group to E-deck.

As the party finds its way to the deck, he remarks. "Finding the source of the problem should pose no obstacle. I am competent with the majority of electro-mechanical systems."

Once arrived, he looks for a terminal to access.

Ignoring the robot comment, Rynner looks up from his personal tablet and listens quietly, then stands and moves forward to provide a cheek swab. He then extends his right hand to receive the implant.

Listening to his fellows discuss option, he says. "I have no opinion on the matter. I will go along with whatever the majority decides."

He then goes back to running a quick diagnostics of his functions.

A tall, lanky android enters the room. An assortment of tools, cords, and devices hang upon his person. His hands are calloused and scarred, while his arms bear long scars from previous incisions.

Looking around the room, he says, flatly. "I am called Rynner."
