Ryder watches on indifferently.

"Interesting for certain." Ryder says in reference to the drawings "But not entirely unexpected given the nature of the region."
"Miserable shot." Ryder mutters to himself before examining the pool, now that the immediate threat has been neutralized.

As the creature lurches toward one of his companions, Ryder lets loose his shot. (cover)
Ryder moves up and loads his crossbow, holding his shot until the creature does something deserving of being shot.

Ryder nods in agreement of Teodorn's assessment of the identity of the half-orc woman. "It would seem that local opinion of her poor choices in the company she chose to keep would be here end." Ryder says, investigating the body a bit more closely. "Multiple stab wounds, likely a dagger or multiple daggers. She was not a victim of either of the obstacles we have encountered thus far. We should be on our guard."
"Curious..." Ryder comments as he takes aim with his crossbow. (firing into melee)

"Hard to say, but I suspect it has something to do with that fungus." Ryder says to Kanek's question.
Unable to get by the half-orc and his fellow android, Ryder bides his time, waiting for the opportunity to contribute.
Taking note of the beetles, Ryder readies his morningstar.

Ryder strides into water after securing anything that can be damaged by water into his waterproof bags.
"Perfectly good logic." Ryder states, turning on his heel and leaving the temple.
Ryder adds, "Time would seem to be of the utmost importance...if we are to find Councilor Baine still alive."
"Indeed, we do intend to find Khonnier Baine regardless of his state of functionality." Ryder says flatly. "Thank you, the accommodations will be sufficient for our purposes."
Turning his attention to the voice coming from inside the building, Ryder says, "It would seem that Val is here and still functional."
Ryder pulls out his morningstar and takes a tactically advantageous position across from Graz before striking at the malfunctioning machine. (flank)
(Free use of inspiration) "Indeed, it is badly damaged. These models are more mindless drones than anything else. I doubt that we will be able to do much reasoning with it."
With the front door covered, Ryder follows Teodorn to the side door.
"We can not very well get any information we want if our source is no longer functional." Ryder states as he picks up the pace toward the screaming in question.
Ryder blankly looks at Graz when the half-orc claims familiarity with him. "I do not believe we have met before, Graz. Depending on your age, I suppose you may have encountered Ryder-XII prior to my current version, which is XIII." "Lead the way, Teodorn. Time is of the esscence."
"That would seem to be a logical course of action, Daneran." Ryder matter-of-factly says. "That being said the sooner we leave for the caves, the higher the odds that we find Khonnir still among the living...although based on the available data, those odds are not particularly in the Councilor's favor."
Ryder stares blankly at the excitable, young man. "Perhaps more coincidence than luck." the other android plainly states. Once inside, Ryder is about to question Councilor Freddert but chooses to remain silent as the boisterous man from outside beats him to the task. Instead he simply waits for the answer while studying each of the other individuals in the chamber beyond the Councilor.
Sure, I got you.
The disappearance of Khonnir Baine troubles Ryder, not because of any great personal attachment to the man, but simply the fact that Khonnir purchased many of the artifacts Ryder and his partner, Holg had found in the wastes. Holg was content to take his chances finding a new buyer, Ryder was more determined to find out the whereabouts of a frequent patron...a purely logical response, certainly no emotional attachment to the man. Given his desire to find Khonnir, Ryder makes his way to the Town Hall to see what sort of information the Council may be able to provide.
First of all, welcome to our newcomers, Teodorn, Kanek, and Daneran. Otherwise, I'm ready if everyone else is.

With all of his companions standing between he and his targets, Ryder simply states, "Unfortunate." as he stows his crossbow and climbs down the rope.
"Thank you for the offer, Graz, but I can manage on my own. Furthermore, why would I surrender the advantage that range provides?"
Ryder reloads his crossbow and takes aim at the same skulk he had before.
Ryder makes his way into the chamber, taking aim at one of the skulks with his crossbow.
Ryder follows his erstwhile companion after Azalia.
Ryder moves into the room, doing his best to roll by any attempted strike by the skulk, while getting in position to fire his crossbow. Once in position, he lets loose a bolt.

(free use of inspiration) "Unusual." Ryder off-handedly comments noting the chalk drawings. Something catches the android's eye, just as Azalia starts speaking. "Azalia, skulks are not known for their friendliness...I suppose you are welcome to try."
"What kind of mercenaries?" Ryder asks. "I would suspect the kind that like money and do not ask many questions." the android says, answering his own question. Ryder proceeds to follow Holg down the cavern corridor toward the next chamber.
Ryder moves into the chamber. Without giving matters a second thought, the android takes aim with his crossbow and fires. - potential crit
"Precisely, Holg." Ryder responds. "After all these years, it seems you have finally learned how to use logic." Considering the matter closed, Ryder follows along the path blazed by Holg.
(free use of inspiration) (spending 1 point of inspiration) "Many has said her recent company was going to be the end of her...it would seem they were right." Ryder flatly says. Examining the corpse, Ryder answers Azalia's query. "It would appear her cause of death was multiple stabbings from a short blade, perhaps a dagger...or multiple daggers." On the subject of burial, the android comments, "If it is deemed necessary, I would think it would be prudent to bring the body out with us as we leave, rather than spend precious time and resources at the present time...she is not likely to go anywhere for the time being."
Ryder nods toward to Graz as he climbs up the rope provided.
Ryder takes aim with his crossbow, calculating trajectories and trying to account for any of his companions nearby. Firing, he has clearly overcompensated as the bolt ricochets off of the cavern ceiling. (firing into melee)
(-2 if sickened still applies) "Insects of indeterminate origin...large insects." Ryder flatly states at he pulls his crossbow out of one of the waterproof bags and loads it.
Putting all of his potentially damageable objects into various waterproof bags, Ryder wades into the water. "We are here. No point in prolonging the inevitable. We have a job to do...and perhaps interesting trinkets to find." (racial bonus vs. poison)
"Thank you for your assistance, Brother Joram." Ryder states in his usual unemotional tone.
"If you think it is prudent to wait until morning, I suppose that is an acceptable outcome." "Do take note that the odds of the survival of Khonnir do suffer should we wait." the android matter-of-factly adds.
"We have been contracted to retrieve your adoptive father. We thought it prudent to let you know who we are before we left." Ryder calmly says.
"It is a clockwork servant. If you are to destroy it, you will be required to do a significant amount of damage to it as they were designed to repair clockwork soldiers on the battlefield...along with itself. I am not sure why this one seems intent on destruction." Ryder comments as he swings away with his morningstar.
