Appearance & Background

Born far to the north in the Land of Linnorm Kings, Runa was born in Ullerskad, the third child and only daughter to Svalla and Orik. Raised on tales of glory and riches in the south as a member of the Ulfen Guard in Taldor. Training in her youth to be just as strong and skilled as the boys her age, she headed south to Oppara to claim her prestige, honor and wealth. But upon arriving in Oppara, she found that the Ulfen Guard would take no more, a recent inundation of applicants filling their ranks.
Cursing her bad luck, Runa set forth with a caravan detail, wanting to bide her time until positions opened up. But as she made her travels she found that she came to really like some of these smaller towns in the foreign nation. After a year of working caravans, she has decided to take a short leave in the village of Heldren.
Having come to the village several times, she knows some of the locals and is rather pleased with the folks in town. But she feels like something is coming, a nagging fear that she can't shake, like a cold wind in winter. Perhaps she should have stayed in Oppara.
