About Rumblglut the Indigo
Rumblglut is the true embodiment of hedonism, excess, and laziness. He was born into a noble Elven family in Qadira who made their wealth through trade of specialized goods. The exorbitant wealth his family had left Rumblglut wanting for nothing and with servants for everything. This bred the true meaning of sloth into every fiber of his being. His family refused to have an uneducated child, so he was sent to train with a small school of magics. Rumblglut took a special like to this area of study as he realized that he could use magic to learn how to avoid movement almost entirely.
Rumblglut took special interest in the school of transmutation. As he became stronger with this school of magic his laziness took on new proportions. It was not uncommon to find him lounging on his couch for multiple days in a row without leaving. Magical manipulation of the objects around him meant he didn’t need to leave the couch for anything. He could move his chamber pot around the room and empty it out the window, he could control a sponge to bathe him, and he didn’t even need to reach for his food. As one can imagine, he began to gain weight and in time became the only fat elf anyone had ever seen.
His parents were disgusted by what he had become sullying their beauty, which in their eyes was ruining their business. They cut off his funds and threw him out of the house with only a few hundred gold pieces with instruction to never return again. Rumblglut was now very set in his ways, and even something as drastic as being cut off from wealth and being homeless was not about to stop his laziness. He took the money, bought a cart, several large pillows, and a donkey to pull him around. He found that his only option was to join the Pathfinder Society. If he was going to survive as much of the work anyone was willing to offer required some kind of manual labor, and he was not about to start that now. The Pathfinder Society could at least get him started making some coin to start his own merchant business.
