Rubani was born a slave in Rahadoum. He served his masters for many years of physical labor in the hot sun. Near his 18th birthday he was sold to a ship captain to worn on a coastal gallery on the oars. Luck had it the ship was attacked by the Andoran navy and he was free by a group of Marines. Left to his own ways he joined a ship that recognized his freedom. He often found work in the port of Senghor and stayed away from Sargova because it harbored slaves. He abandoned the shipping trade for a time and found work as an adventurer in the jungle and bought himself some armor and a fine two handed sword. He has been hoping to save some gold to buy his younger sister from her master in Rahadoum.
