Whether its one soul or one hundred souls, the foul sorcerer and the sea witch it seems like a good thing in my book. I'm going to do, I suggest you all get a bit further down the path however, no need to be reckless..." says the somewhat firehappy water elf. besides if their was a huge pocket of gas somewhere, chances are something else, some random spark, would have caused the explosion by now.If you are so worried about it I suggest you disregard his sister and start running like the little sissy girls, that he wants you to save...

Roman shouts you fool as fudrick enters the chamber, holding back on the torch, roman hastily snubs it out.

Roman looks bewildered about, He can't fight in there, all it takes is a spark, its a wonder it did not blow up the night before when i was fighting the beast, and that dolt was throwing stone lids, One little spark and kaboom

Roman sits down at the edge of the clearing, obviously distressed. Roman gathers new materials to make a torch and waits.

Roman runs to the edge of the encampment and makes a makeshift torch, which he lights and then from as far as possible he hucks into the hole

Roman replies coldly. Maybe, Maybe not, but if the sorcerer is powered by something down below, wouldn't you rather have knowledge of it before hand? A sorcerer covered in tentacles seems simular to what zatari has become...

Yawning from his graveyard shift, Roman stands up his slender gear already stowed and ready to go. either way, I will accompany, and as you said, I have no family aboard the ship, so I will go whatever way the tides drag me

Roman, being such a center of nighttime activity and conversation, amicably ends his shift, and goes to sleep, offering a small prayer to the deep, before soundly going to the last half of his sleep.

Roman eventually turns up topside, and helps out offering to take watch in the middle of the night. Roman before helping move the body, asks for knife and begins dismembering it.

Roman seems preoccupied by the dungeon looming below them, and the beast that was zatari. to come all this way, and have my hopes dashed by the stupidity of the surface races

Roman, not seeing any nearby enemies, attempts to climb upon an urn , and sit there watching in waiting, in meditation.

(I'm on like round 6 for shillelagh, and it only lasts a minute which means im probably lost the rest of the use as the ugly one has ran away, I figure everyone will come down here when they get a chance)

The Tinkle of breaking glass fills the room quitely as the creature speaks.

Rushing (but not charging) to where the creature disappered, and where the fog ripples and the sounds make it seem where the creature is , Roman thrusts his stick forward as he watches in bemusment. Going about his task in a workman like manner Roman muses " If this is how surfacer's fight how is it that we haven't taken over the surface lands yet..."

Roman Lands With a Soft Thud, quickly scouting out the area with his sharp eyes and source of light, holding it in hand if the fog interferes, with his staff in the other once he hits the floor.

"well you seem to messed that up pretty good, how about we get a move on and attempt to find the digsite before an army of killer monkey corpses AND whatever else is wrong with this island comes to wipe us out?

Roman hopefully familure enough with the general direction by now starts walking, hopeing that the others will follow.

"If they catch us on the trail," Roman thinks to himself "we're probably dead, as they can move easily threw the underbrush it appears and we cannot"

Ignoring the chaos around him, Roman sticks with the tried and true, beat on the thing until it stops moving.

Roman smiles at the half orc's modesty before clapping him on the back and saying "The true test of wisdom is knowing its limits, My Good Man Gnome and Elf see to the injured one and the chests, a sling or perhaps a stretcher could be jury rigged for either.

speaking to the half orc, Roman says " lets find anything useful and handy in the camp, and then make a plan how we are going to defend an injured gnome, and a fool while marching, That hammer of yours is impressive, but perhaps a ranged solution is possible" Looking at the fading light and the dense jungle foilage, roman sighs "or not, I swear its like the deep one made this place to the fit and measure of the maze forgetting only the solution..."

raising a arched eyebrow and a slightly angry and slightly amused expresion at "seaweed loving", Roman turns to Yrak and says "looks like it is up to you then, it appears as if the children need guidence to reason and survival" with a heavy eye towards the little folk and their new aquantance.

Roman Speaks Up, "Getting out of here does not rely on some miraculous combination of events happening or being observed, simply that some common sense is observed. Tactically moving in the evening, especially in the jungle is fool hardy at best, and it only gets worse the darker it gets, aside from Yrak, I don't think any of us can see in the pitch darkness, while I wouldn't doubt that it could. Also notice that it has been attacking people while isolated, alone. That suggests two things first that its smart of at least lucky, at least as smart as an animal, and probably smarter if it can think to follow, these guys," roman says Pointing at the monkey and elf " and strike only when someone sets foot into the scrum, even a little. the second thing it suggests is that the beast is not so strong as to be able to get the better of several armed men at once, or else it would of , and our little monkey friend wouldn't be here..." A flash of resignation crosses the half elfs face.

Looking at the Gnome somewhat compassionately, Roman continues "Furthermore, I think you all really abandoned the victims when you decided that the camp was more important to investigate than the scream no? No use crying over the winds or the currents, I say we start afresh in the morning after securing the camp. Althought of course I will defer to Yraks judgement, if nothing else his courage and ability have been proven. " a somewhat derisive look at the fallen gnome underscores my points about the very real issues that we all committed to when we came here as apposed to finding the source of the screams in the jungle.

As Roman works with Yrak, he says quitely but not hiddingly with a smile.

"Where I come from we have a word for that sort of creature," gesturing towards the elf or his monkey, it being hard to tell which, looking Yrak in the eyes he says "Translated I think it would be Liar?..."

Watching Yraks later beconing of danger he shakes his head " Above or below the waves, nature plods along at her own pace, and to attempt to change it otherwise is to invite ruin"

Roman begins searching about the camp for useful items in defence. Using the new dagger or borrowing blades from Yrak {and help from Yrak} as appropiate. Roman asks for any rope stores to be brought forward as appropiate.

Nodding to the half orc, he joins him in the woods scouting searching and willing his way to the heart of the matter

The Half Elf looks at bemusement as the Orc goes after the gnomes blade thinking, to himself, I'll be damned if I'm risking my health of body over a bottle opener. Following the others as they head towards the village , roman pipes up

"But what about those screams we've heard just before fighting the boar, if people were in trouble...."

before letting his sentence, unfinished hang in the air.

The Half elfs looks at everyone before using his stick to lever the boar corpse into the pit , where hopefully it lands with a meaty thud breaking and dispersing some of the spiked impliments at the bottom.

Looking at the unconcious gnome he says " Either you can carry him and I will take point or I can carry him, I'm not sure if you know the way any better than me, Althought it shouldn't be hard to make a stretcher in any case, if its far."

Torn between helping the dying thief, and putting an end to an immediate threat to his and others lifes, roman hefts his stick, gets ready his oil, and steps carefully out into the path to hopefully provide the flank that the thief failed to.

Roman backs away from the edge of the pit, and wanting to help but being on the wrong side of the pit to do so, attempts to jump the pit (in the proper inititive order none the less)

Roman keeps his distance from the purifying body as well as the crab, listening intently to what is being said, but not saying too much.

this declarative over, the half sea elf follows merily along with the others, seemingly in a better mood for the company.

Roman watches in amusement before staying a healthy distance away from the body, you can't burry a body at sea this close to shore unless the tide is with you, and Roman doesn't bury things on land, he also doesn't eat vermin.
