I love being part of shaping an experience for other people, it's why I like to DM when I'm playing Pathfinder tabletop style. In MMO's this usually means I enjoy working as part of a guild or in this case, a Chartered Company.

This Company has been through several iterations in WoW, GW, GW2, an unranked team in LoL, and a very brief attempt in EVE. It has usually remained a very small core group, maybe 8-12 players including myself, because it was always more rewarding to sign on with bigger guilds, more influential and better resourced. Now I'd like to rebuild under the old banner and craft a friendly environment for like-minded players in search of a relatively non-restrictive community.

Your commentary, both IC and OOC is welcome. Can't be part of the community in isolation, after all.

And thus I present you with...

THE GREEN DRAGON LEGION

Alignment: NG
"All good folks have a place in the Legion, so long as they're willing to pitch in."
- Robuin Thunderhorn, Leader of the Legion

Government: Beneficent Dictatorship with Meritocratic Advisory Council
"I like democracy, at least as a concept. Who doesn't like knowing their voice can be heard, they can make a difference, and they'll at least get to discuss the issues openly? Discussion is all well and good, but someone has to make hard decisions at the end of it all, and that person has to bear the responsibility for the outcome. That's where I come in."
- Robuin Thunderhorn, Leader of the Legion

Role: Guardians, Bounty Hunters, Safe Havens, Seekers of Knowledge, and Community Builders.
"I have walked the long road north from Absalom to rebuild what was lost there. Perhaps in this wilderness my vision can thrive. An ideal society without the blinders idealism sets on us. An association of the best this world has to offer us, each both beautiful and strong. Vibrantly alive in their moment, and each placing their unique skills and perceptions on the communal altar to the betterment of us all."

Ideology::

Organization: After the tragic events in Absalom, the Legion was founded on principles of efficiency, clear communication, proper record-keeping, and comprehensive but concise systems of rules and procedures for undertaking any enterprise that poses a risk to group resources or personnel.

Self-Determination: No one wants another telling them what to do. All people have a voice. They can and have a duty to contribute to any decision that affects their life. In the same vein, everyone is responsible for their own words and actions.

Achievement and Merit: Thunderhorn knew that for free-thinking people to accept the strictures of his systems of rules and responsibilities, a fair implementation of them must occur. Veterans of combat, wealthy merchants, learned sages, and any who possess good reputations and the drive to leave great legacies are rewarded accordingly, with both power and responsibility.

Honor: Integrity is the root of character. Dishonesty breaks down the fibers that bind our company together, and we do not tolerate Oath-Breakers or Traitors.

Who Should Join: All races, roles, and skillsets are needed to carve a place for ourselves on the Crusader's Road.
"Don't tease the gnome. There are still traps ahead."
- Robuin Thunderhorn, Party Wizard of The Five Dead Mice

History::
The history of The Green Dragon Legion is in great part, the history of Robuin Thunderhorn, itinerant adventurer, world traveler, gentleman extraordinaire and social provocateur. The Legion began in two places near simultaneously, in Thunderhorn's philosophical musings on the nature of the "ideal society", and in his adventuring company's calamitous run in with the green wyrm Aasystrazyx.

While fleeing a badly planned, and horrifically botched attempt on the dragon's lair, Thunderhorn concluded that while the Five Blind Mice had been fine companions, they were both wildly incompetent planners and almost certainly dead. Upon reaching their base of operations just north of Absalom, Thunderhorn found a ruined crater and several tons of debris that represented the remains of the group's accumulated resources and infrastructure over the last five years.

With nothing to tether him, and the authorities asking uncomfortable questions about who bore responsibility for the dragon being roused, Robuin fled traveled north.
