Appearance, Background, Personality:
Appearance
35 year old Roakinn is reasonably tall, at 6'2", and well-muscled but slim. His skin is caramel brown, a combination of ancestry and long days spent under the sun on the Storval Plateau. His head is clean-shaven, and he has deep brown eyes. His facial features are prominent, with a strong brow, a hawkish nose, and a broad grin. He is missing several teeth, which have been lost during the multitude of battles he has fought.
Background
Roakinn belongs to the Hawk clan, Shriikirri-Quah, and since childhood was cursed with a lame leg. He was also regularly beset by visions, and could touch on the spirit world. When he reached adulthood, he followed a vision that led him to Sandpoint in Varisia. There, he was set on the path to battling against Karzoug, the returning Rune Lord of ancient Thassilon. After his party of heroes eventually defeated Karzoug, Roakinn returned to his clan a hero. However, he turned down the chance to lead his tribe, instead choosing a life of travel. He has wandered throughout Avistan, continuing his adventures, often alone or with his old companions.
Personality
Roakinn is a doer, not a thinker. He is rather dashing and exuberant, with a strong sense of humour, but also a fearsome anger. He follows the traditions of the Shoanti fairly closely, but is not above breaking rules if he feels it necessary. He enjoys the pleasures of civilisation in short bursts, but often ends up back on the road, or in the wilderness. He is a good man, and cannot resist helping those in need, or taking the fight to the forces of evil. He worships Erastil and his totem spirit ancestors, and respects the power of the spirit world. He has a distrust and strong dislike of arcane magicks in general, seeing that power as often corrupting. His experiences fighting Karzoug strengthened those feelings, but he also has a close conjurer friend from those days who he jokingly insults regarding his magic. All in all, he is a good travelling companion, ready with a laugh, loyal, and good-hearted.
