Zandu picks up on the mercinary's ambitions and hangs back a moment moment to shoot the mercenary a look of understanding. A look that said, I've taken that abuse too. "I hope I've made a new 'friend' today" he thinks to himself as he runs to catch up to Vasilios. "Progress is slow, sir." he responds to Vasilios' earlier banter.
Riken messes about with his disguise. "This doesn't feel right. Can someone lend me a hand."
"I wouldn't consider myself a master sneak but Paka and I can usually go unseen... Usually." Riken pauses to consider the rouse. "Perhaps I should get one of those masks too. Serve the part of an apprentice."
"The Aspis Consortium is known to utilize mercenaries. Perhaps I shall keep things simple and play that part." "I need to grab a few things from town. I won't be long" As Riken steps out the door you hear short whistle. A big Leopard jumps down at his his side. Riken takes a moment to ruffle the the cat's ears and they head into town. Just getting a simple cowl so I can kind of hide my face a bit to hopefully help a little bit. I'm on my phone so I'll look up price and update char description later this evening Riken returns with a cowl covering his face and the leopard by his side.
"This is Paka." he says as he kneels down beside the cat and claps him on the chest a few times. "Paka, meet... Droo was it?"
A pained look crosses Riken's face from distant memories. Typical wizard loves his fires. He glowers to himself. "I suspect we will be able to come up with better plans once we know the plans. Once we've met with this Jenk." Riken gives Lini a look of understanding then turns to address Venture-Captain Heidmarch. "Did you happen to catch the names of any of these men? he asks holding up the bronze badge. "For that matter, if he doesn't know who he's expecting, why must we use an alias" He pauses for a moment lost in his thoughts, "No, I suppose we wouldn't want this so easily tracked backed to the society. Perhaps a pseudonym is appropriate." Riken once again pauses to think. "Zandu? Do I look like a Zandu to you?" he asks the group with a grin.
A young man with eager eyes, simple travel-stained clothes and a shock of unkempt brown hair sits forward from the edge of the room where he had been listening quietly. "I have dealt with the Aspis Consortium before. It will be nice to be on the side doing the disrupting for once." Riken says with a laugh. Riken steps forward and retrieves one of the medalions and flips it in the air a few times. "Will we be able to connect with the Lissalan ally should the need arise?" Riken asks as he sits back down. |
