As to your second question: You don't report his death because "no conditions (including death) carry beyond the end of the module."

You report the award prestige and XP after the module is ended. There is no separate reporting of each session.

I don't think you're reading an up to date version of the guide.

GPFSOP 4.1 pg. 23 Under Sanctioned Modules

Conditions, Death, and Expendables
When playing your own character, all conditions
(including death) not resolved within the module carry
beyond the end of the module. Likewise, any wealth
spent or resources expended during the course of the
adventure are tracked and must be recorded on the
Chronicle sheet.

Mea culpa! You're right; I didn't read the Guide at all. I haven't played since last year's Dragon*Con and haven't read the new Guide. Consequently, I was going by the PFS Rules download for the module and didn't know that the Guide had overridden it.

Thanks for the update. I've got some reading to do this weekend.

Cheers,
Rick

A character got killed in the first part of Mask of the Living God. Can that player continue the module with another PFS character of 2nd to 4th level? If so, how do I report that character's death and award prestige and exp. to the new character?

To answer your first question: Yes, he can continue with another PFS character of 2nd to 4th level. He also has other options---see below.

As to your second question: You don't report his death because "no conditions (including death) carry beyond the end of the module."

You report the award prestige and XP after the module is ended. There is no separate reporting of each session.

My answers are as per the free PFS Rules download for MotLG available on the module's webpage at Paizo:

http://paizo.com/products/btpy8bal?Pathfinder-Module-Masks-of-the-Living-Go d

Just read Page 1 of the PFS Rules download, especially the sections "Legal Pathfinder Society Characters" (your player has several options), "Conditions, Death, and Expendables", and "Getting Credit". It's all explained there, plus it includes the chronicle sheet.

Cheers!

Not to mention some of the best political and general philosophers of the 20th Century were science fiction writers.
Asimov FTW!

Absolutely, plus Arthur C. Clarke!

Nope. I don't have any use for it. It may be adaptable to other campaigns, but there's plenty of other, more easily adaptable material, so I don't bother. I just skip it in the magazine since I don't wish to buy yet another set of books.
