I'm sorry, but I have to step out of this adventure. I've gotten swamped @ RL and some other PbPs ... Good luck to all.

I'm posting here, because I don't know how many people will read the OOC thread ... and I can't find it :P

Yes, I will want those restorative spells and the speak with dead.

"Rasina, I think we we're meant to ally with these people, rash as they may be."
"For I do not think we will have survived crossing the Desolation with just the three of us."

"Let's see how far we can go, if all goes completely out of line ... we can still decide to split up."

Richard then goes about casting his lesser restoration and prepares his speak with the dead spell.

Richard looks sheepishly at Rasina ... In his bloodlust he completely blocked out anything but slaying this foul creature.

"Rasina .. I'm sorry .. I .. Perhaps I can use my magic to speak with him in the morning .."

Speak with Dead, 3rd level spell .. It might give us some answers.

"This time I will NOT miss foul creature!"

Richard sees Rasina and Montague flatten themselves against the dome, Richard attempts to move silently to the dome. Hoping his armor doesn't make too much noise.

Yes, I cast the three lesser restorations and one remove disease.

Lesser Restoration 1(Rasina): 1d4 ⇒ 4
Lesser Restoration 2(Rasina): 1d4 ⇒ 3

Lesser Restoration 3(Alia): 1d4 ⇒ 2

Remove Disease (Mikka): DC 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

And spells are updates in Richard's profile.

All options sound fine too me. Like I said, I only need 2h of rest to be fully rested.
And I have no need of the items either.
I also want to update my spells, so I'd like to know how many (lesser) restoration and cure diseases I need for the party :)

I keep healing Gurg ... Using my least powerfull cures.

Cure Light 1: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Cure Light 2: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Cure Light 3: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Cure Light 4: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

If more is needed, I channel positive energy ...

"Look, his trail .. I think we should hurry to catch up to him."

Heal Check: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (20) + 14 = 34

"Oh no .. Rot Grubs .. Those are vile little worms."

"At least I can heal you from your wounds, but I do not know how to get rid of the worm."

Richard grabs his holy symbol and addresses his god.

"Thyr, have your healing powers wash over us ...!

"I think we should take a look at the figure. I could be Gurg."
"If he's still alive the coming storm will surely kill him."
"Besides that, it's more or less in the right direction ..."

Alright, let me channel positive energy to harm these undead.

I move in full range to catch the most the foul beasts in my channel burst.

Seeing another one fall to the wolves ... Richard can not restrain his anger. These foul abominations are taking down his friends and newfound companions one by one ...

With a loud battle cry he charges ahead, brandishing his holy symbol.

"In the name of Thyr ... I command thee to flee ... !

Channel Energy to Turn Undead ... DC 19.
Sorry for my lack of better actions ... I've been swamped @ work.

If all goes horribly wrong with Mikka, I will run forward and attempt a Turn Undead.

For now I hold my ground.

Richard holds back, standing on his consecrated ground.

Waiting to either turn them, or destroy them.

Or go to the rescue of anyone who needs his aid.

As soon as the wolves enter the consecrated area I let loose my channel to turn them, DC has increased by 3 then. Making it a DC 21 check. If some are outside the consecrated area, it's still 19.

Meaning I can get another spell off first ?
If so, I cast a Consecration in our center.
A 20ft radius blessing of Thyr.

Consecrate:
The DC to resist positive channeled energy within this area gains a +3 sacred bonus. Every undead creature entering a consecrated area suffers minor disruption, suffering a –1 penalty on attack rolls, damage rolls, and saves.

When the wolves come in range, channel energy to turn undead.
Catching as many as I can in the 30ft radius.
DC = 19, if they fail they flee for 1 minute.

Richard dismounts, casts a Shield of Faith on himself and readies his shield and mace.

"If they try to surround us .. go back to back .. this way you can't be attacked from the rear."

AC is now 24 :)

When Alia points to the weapons, he suddenly realizes something.

Examing the rapier and the axe he comes to a startling conclusion.

"Either these two we're enemies ... or they went mad."
"It looks like the wounds on both are made with these weapons ..."
"Strange ... No other tracks you say ?"
"Strange indeed, and cost these two their lives."

"They are beyond our help ... shall we continue after Gurg ?"

With a small prayer to Thyr, he leaves the bodies and mounts his horse.

Richard sees the barren waste as another obstacle to overcome, another obstacle to the evil that reigns everywhere.

He wraps a scarf around his face, covering his mouth and nose.

He has no tracking knowledge so he let's his newfound party members (too early to call them friends ;)) and Mikka do the tracking.

At the sight of the beaten up spiders he winces ... he hates spiders ... especially big ones.

Still shuddering from the horrible spiders he spots the two dead bodies.
Dismounting he steps closer to inspect their wounds.

"Well ... The sand and heat have already taken their toll ... I have no idea what happened to them."
"I guess the heat and the vast emptiness got to them."

Heal: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Holy crap ... what an utter sh*te rolls :(

I'll cast the first cure on Artemis and the second one on Montenague then. And won't cast the third one .. since no one needs cures.
I completely misread .. sorry.

"Unfortunately I have no restoration spell memorized today, but I will do so tomorrow."
"Since my temple got torn down in my absence, I have nothing else to do ... for now anyway."

"If you need more help, by Thyr's grace, I will gladly help you."

Alright, then Richard cures Artimus first.

Cure Serious(Artimus): 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (2, 3, 4) + 7 = 16

He then quickly moves on to Rasina and Alia.

Cure Serious(Rasina): 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (5, 1, 5) + 7 = 18
Cure Serious(Alia): 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (2, 5, 1) + 7 = 15

After the cures he follows Alia and Rasina into the tavern.
He introduces himself, and asks once more if people are in need of Thyr's healing embrace.

If other people are in need of healing, please let me know.

Alright, then I heal everyone in the vicinity.

"I'll join in a minute ... But I need to heal those who are hurt first."

When I reach the armored man, I ask him if he accepts my assistance.

"Sir, you have been injured by this horrendous beast, will you allow me to heal your wounds ?"

Thyr answers his prayers and Richard senses that enough people around him are in need of his healing powers.

He prepares another channel to heal everyone except the swarm, the hobgoblin cleric and his acolyte.

"Thyr, grant me the power to channel thine divine power through this mortal vessel!"

He then moves towards the armored man floating down to earth.

Channel Positive Energy: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 6, 6) = 16

Richard looks around, hoping that someone else can defeat the beast, his arsenal of weapons does nothing against this horrible shadow.

He goes to help the person that in the worst condition, looking to his god for aid, he casts his spell.

I cast Deathwatch to see who needs my help the most.

As Richard is looking around for his companions, he hears Rasina and decides to act upon it.

He grabs his holy symbol once again, and prepares his channel. This time hoping to destroy the shadow.

"Thyr, channel thine energy through my mortal body!"

Channel Positive Energy, hoping to damage the shadow.
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 5) = 11, DC = 19.

Richard looks around, trying to spot Nadeq and Rasina in the chaos of the battle.

He wants to know if they are alright.

Richard also looks around to check on the others fighting this foul beast.

I want to know if people can use some healing, so if I see people terribly hurt I will channel positive energy. If I cannot see, I cast Deathwatch to see if it's necessary.

After seeing the demonic shadow create the darkness around it, Richard wracks his brains.

He has no knowledge of the demonic creature, but hopes his god can help him send this awful creature back to the shadows it came from.

"By Thyr, go back to the shadows you came from !"

I cast Dismissal on the shadow thing, DC 19 or be sent back to its own plane ... Hope this works ;)

Although Richard has no idea what this creature is, it can only be some hell bred spawn which needs to destroyed.

Richard prepares one of his most powerfull spells, hoping to defeat this horrible beast.

"Thyr ... Smite this evil being with your holy might!"

Holy Smite damage: 3d8 ⇒ (2, 4, 5) = 11

I cast Holy Smite. a 20ft radius burst of holy damage centered on the monstrosity. 3d8 damage and blinded for one round. Save for half and negate blindness, DC = 19

Richard looks at the horrible thing landing ... and ask for his gods protection.

Grabbing his holy symbol he utters the words to his protective spell.

"Thyr protect me."

I cast protection from evil, on myself for now.

"What in Thyr's name is that ... ?!?"

The exhaustion flies from his bones as this horrible creature comes into sight.

Instinctively Richard grabs his holy symbol, the words of a spell are at the tip of his tongue.

I delay my action until I know where the creature is goind and/or what his actions are.

With the coming of the acolytes, they had brought him news of his chapel.
It had been looted and destroyed. No one had dared ask by whom ... and no one will probably come forward to say anything about it.

That's Camp ... A good thing he didn't leave anyone at the chapel, they could have been seriously hurt.

Richard took it up as his duty to help the acolytes clean out the tomb.

He hasn't been with his friends for more then a few minutes.
The acolytes looking at him for guidance took up most of his time.

On the way back to Camp he's exhausted, talking little the entire journey back to Camp.

Rasina's little joke snaps Richard to attention, with his chapel gone he has no place to stay.

"I'd say that boarding house is our best bet. Orcs make me nervous, and they smell bad ... Ugh ..."
"Since my chapel is gone, I've got no place to stay, I might aswell get a room there too."
