History
Rhune grew up in the small city of Cork. At age 18 he graduate of high school and enlisted into the IDF to escape the boring rural life of Cork. After his first year Ireland he learned the Irish fighting style Ealaíona Comhrai, which is basically kickboxing and wrestling maneuvers that every soldier has to know, after that he was deployed to Liberia where he served under the 92nd Infantry Battalion of the Southern Brigade for a 1 year tour. After acquiring some experience he decided to join the Army Ranger Wings.
Rhune went through all the grueling tests and many of the people he befriended there didn’t make it in the end only a select few passed and he was one of them. His specialty and preferred weapon became his submachine gun and his ability to fight in guerrilla, urban and recon missions. After a year’s worth of training as an Army Ranger he was shipped to the Republic of Chad were his unit was ordered to go into a reconnaissance mission to establish a base of operations for the IDF in this country. Rhune had served in Africa already so he was fit for the task in hand and his unit was able to achieve their objectives, enabling IDF to establish a reliable HQ to return stability to Darfur, Chad and Central African Republic. He served in Chad for a 1 year tour fighting rebel militias with their allies.
At his return to the emerald island, beloved Ireland, Rhune met his wife Rachel in a welcome party his family had for him. Things just clicked in the right way and everything was going smoothly, by the end of the year he decided to marry Rachel and they lived together in Ireland for a year before duty called again on Rhune as he was being deployed to Bosnia with his unit to help oversee the implementation of the Dayton Agreement in support of the UN. He served for 1year in Bosnia hunting war criminals and doing reconnaissance missions for the European Union Force Althea and UN. Coming home to surprise his wife and take a good irish summer vacation for a couple of months before being deployed to the Middle East under the UNTSO (United Nations Truce Supervision Organization) to try and maintain some semblance of order in that region after all the changes in government. During his 1 year tour in the Middle East the new governments now well established caused the withdraw of all troops returning him home to his wife earlier than expected and the surprise of him being a father and a divorce. The divorce reason was simple and he understood, he passed more time away from home, leaving her with the uncertainty of his life or death for long periods of time and with a daughter. The divorce was not painful except for the parting of his now ex-wife and baby daughter leaving him as a retired veteran that is traveling the world as a tourist instead of a soldier. Rhune visits every time he cans or writes letters to his daughter, wishing the best to his ex-wife (now remarried).
