Rex walks up behind Delea and gives her a squeeze on the shoulder. "I dunno about that, there's a lot of stories about teams making silly choices even without the cameras rolling..." He gives a quick smile to indicate that he's kidding. "While I think the exposure was great for the Starfinders and for the overall cause of exploration and scholarship, maybe negotiate some stricter clauses on crew behavior? I caught one trying to make a snack out of one of the fallen dwarves - that can't be Starfinder-sanctioned, we'd get some real Pharasman conservatives very upset with us."

He strides to the terminal and begins scrolling through, face lighting up in awe as he reads. "Guys, this... this is indicating that the dwarves aren't the only people in here, I think. And they aren't crazy for thinking it's the Quest for Sky... they're running a simulation on the dwarves here. Whoever... they are." He pauses for a few seconds before looking back at the camera crew. "Really guys? No music cue for that?"

Delea, Wazasha:
Rex returns the smile before looking at the camera and Wazasha. "Well, that's all for now, I guess - sorry for the cliffhanger?" Oh yeah, I definitely would have wanted a rest. Forgot that the slime things almost made a meal of Rex. Rex continues to advance, gun raised, and takes a forward roll to avoid the goblin's shot, firing as he comes up. Wazasha/Delea:
"Wow, uhhhh..." Rex sits with his mouth open for a second, closes it again, then opens it again. He looks at Delea's reaction before he speaks. "Well, Wazasha, if Delea can overlook my being a Starfinder rookie compared to her, I certainly would look forward to finding a nice restaurant on Absalom Station to find out what the two of us together think of the whole thing. Someplace with a lot of candlelight, that doesn't allow tricorders." He looks over to Delea. "What do you say?" Having had his auto pistol out since the fog descended, Rex advances to the bridge, gun up. "Hey, we got company!," he yells to the party.

It takes Rex a moment but he's eventually able to find an even footing and climbs through the fissue without touching the liquid. He dismounts, then smooths down any wrinkles in the businesswear. Rex's eyes flutter open painfully. "Man... We can edit that out, right fellas?" he cracks to the ghouls. He sits up slowly, still reeling from the blow. "Thank you for the save Delea." His face falls at the dead dwarf in front of him. "Damn - that's a black mark on us," he says grimly, his usual jocularity gone, though some of the tension slips as he sees at least one of the dwarves lived. He struggles painfully to a crouch and kneels by the dead dwarf, taking a moment of respectful silence. "May we find some trace of her knowledge preserved here and use it for everyone's good - dwarf and otherwise," the Starfinder says quietly. "In some other meeting, we may have been allies - but clearly dwarfkind has lost a mighty warrior today." With that, he stands up again, a little unsteadily. "Yeah, I think a rest would be a good idea," he says. "I've felt worse... but not much worse."

Rex takes the axe blow as an opportunity and lets the hit push him into the wall, where he pushes off into a forward roll and moves to put himself between the dwarf and the crew, striking with the kukri hilt. I don't think Delea's holding a weapon, so not a mechanically beneficial flank. Trick Attack again, using the -4 to deal non-lethal with the kukri this time. Seeing that the one dwarf still has his weapon out, Rex will holster the pistol but keeps the kukri in hand. He speaks to address Wazasha and the crew. "Hey crew - I don't think these guys are Pact signatories, so may not be up on current events. Stay back, no use getting a shot if you get shot for it." He then tries to make some universal gestures of greeting and respect to convey their peaceful intentions to the dwarves. "You know, I've never been assigned a mission with either of them, KM seems like a real happy guy - lots of energy, and certainly talks a lot about the Pathfinder need for action, so we'll see how he measures up there. Huckle Jim outranks me - more missions under his belt - so I can't really do much but give him the respect that deserves. Looking forward to seeing how both of them put those big long rifles to use, I can tell ya what!" Am I opposed to anything more happening? Let's not get carried away! But the mission comes first, of course." Rex jogs forward and draws his semi-auto pistol, the overtures to peace forgotten. My goal here is to find out a little bit of who built this in the first place, as well as making this place safer for less action-ready Starfinders to follow after and bring a more scholarly eye to the whole thing."

Zo!: Rex's eyes light up at the displays in front of him. "Dude, you got Clashwear sponsorship? That's hella tight, man."
