Male Human Wizard 1 (Spellslinger)

Dotting for reference

I was very much looking forward to this...

Reuben will certainly be keeping an eye out for this one (assuming he didn't get any red flags; the DM can always PM me if he thinks I'm one of them.)

Anything else you need from Reuben? (I know I'm still working on gear -- any other suggestions?)

I think the idea's amazing, too... it should work out very nicely.

(Then again, I wouldn't have submitted stuff if I didn't like the idea...)

Just to be clear, does the "350 gp, starting guns cost 100 gp" mean that classes which start with a gun (like, oh, spellslinger) have to pay for their starting gun, or is the 350 on top of that.

I'll use an old Springfield, then. Plenty of them lying around for now. And happy to drop in various elements of history -- one of the nice things about using a slightly altered real world is that so much of the worldbuilding is already done for you ;)

Union parade armor might not help in the Confederacy, and vice versa. I'm assuming that Texas is part of the Confederacy in this timeline, or is the whole West debatable in status?)

Updated Reuben's story to include the massacre. (He's still not sure how he got out alive; most of the night is a blur in his memory.) I slightly antedated Daniel Barringer's mining attempts at Meteor Crater to set a stage (maybe in this timeline it happened earlier, with H.G. Wells as a British financier?)

Assuming 1879 is the current year, and the massacre at Meteor Crater happened about two years ago, but I can update the timeline if necessary.

As you can see, Lieutenant #3 caught my imagination... the reason he keeps saying "friend" is that he used to be a Quaker. Of course, Reuben could be totally wrong and confused about him. :)

Still finalizing stats and gear. I'm assuming that a battered old Civil War Springfield might qualify for a spellslinger's starting musket (if not, then it's probably an old 1840's model from the New York scrap market).

Allow me to present Reuben Rosenthal, the rabbi with a rifle, on a roaring rampage of revenge.

Still working on the details, especially the Dawnrunner massacre story, but the background's mostly in place.
