Turns his head as if to look at the patient he was just tending, observing the creature in question in his peripheral vision.

"I merely mentioned a psychological assessment and he may as well have been screaming at the top of his lungs but for the fact that he seemed to afraid to even make a noise." Repp says as succinctly as he can manage. "I would suggest Avalon but even then he might be a danger to others there."

Korren's face shows none of the bitter internal dialogue he is experiencing. I just bet you are going to acquaint me with this agartha. Then his mind processes the psychological assessment part of the statement and it flees, screaming, into the dark recesses that Repp's spell cannot reach.

Korren makes no reply, but waits passively as what little life there was in his eyes fades.

Repp watches intensely as Korren reacts to his rather mundane statement. There’s just the tiniest glimmer in Repp’s eye. ”If there’s no questions then you will have to excuse me a moment.” Repp says, and steps away for a moment towards Ghalen while keeping an eye on Korren. ”I believe we may have a seriously traumatized young man over there. Any idea what the protocol would be?”

So, I put thoughts into italics.

Korren looks blankly at Repp for a few instants. When he speaks his voice is flat and without inflection, but there are faint sounds of electrical discharge crackling through it, "My name is Korren Blake." As you very well know. This ruse has gotten old.

Repp makes no outwards sign that he is able to read Korren's thoughts while he carries on with the routine he's developing.

In addition, he also does not seem even mildly perturbed by the odd and grotesque body that Korren is sporting.

"Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Mr. Blake. I've been assigned to help you get acquainted with Agartha. Once we're done with a psychological assessment we can begin to move you to a temporary living arrangement and then situate you more appropriately. I understand this is all sudden and confusing, but I'm here to answer any questions you may have." He's all business, upfront, forthcoming, and earnest in both body language, and in speech.

Following the directions of these new, very unusual individuals, Korren darts down the cargo ramp. It does not seem that he is hurrying, but his motions are almost too fast to register. He comes to a stop in front of the small pale man.

This pale person is the same size I would have been. Is this the new torment, to taunt me with what could have been? It will not work, evil ones.

A flicker of something crosses his face, gone too quickly to be identified, and he glances at the sky for a moment before bringing his attention back to Repp.

After having sorted through a few others (and action which involves a brief conversation, and to the perceptive, Repp's eyes glowing momentarily), giving them a brief set of instructions to help them get settled, he moves on to the strange half-spider creature.

The gnome's mannerisms are very calming. There are no sudden movements, and his voice flows with a gentle authority as he speaks. It is difficult to find fault in the way he conducts himself.(Nothing magical at work, just a very high Charisma/Diplomacy score)
"Greetings. My name is Repparyn. May I have your name?" Korren will note that again, Repp's eyes glow very briefly.

Korren is now being subjected to a Detect Thoughts power. DC to resist is 34.

"Repp, this group seems to be the most lucid. Perhaps you can start gathering information from them..."

Repp watches Ghalen move about his work, not interfering and assisting in helping to sort the refugees and is needed, allowing the other to take the lead. Once Ghalen seems satisfied with the sorting and given Repp a take, the gnome takes to it with gusto.

Are we assuming Korren Blake is among the 'lucid' group? He doesn't seem very lucid. ;P

"How would you like do a spot of detective work for me, and get some new cultural experiences under your belt while you're doing it?"

Repp seems to consider for a moment, before nodding. "Meeting new people is among my favourite things to do, and if I've understood correctly, these refugees would not even be from Agartha!"

"Now... would you care to take a 'do-over' on those answers, young man? Or are you just going to hope your other foot tastes better than the one you just put in your mouth?" (^-^)

Repp makes an audible scoff and rolls his eyes at his interrogator's flippant nature. "Perhaps if you stopped condescending for a few moments and actually talked to the student body. I learned about the Empire from a fellow student within a few hours of arriving. I also learned that the school's administration appears to be scared senseless of it."

"Seems to be true, at least based on my current circumstances." he adds, with another fairly relaxed shrug.

"why were you scoping out the lab, and for whom?"

Repp doesn't seem either intimidated or even perturbed at being imprisoned, having made himself quite comfortable on the chair provided. He does look up though, searching for a source for the voice.

And then Tamrin mentally triggers one of his new contingencies to deal with new threats....and Repp disappears without preamble.

The adolescent gnome is now in a plain, white room with no apparent way out. The only appointments present at the moment are a table and a pair of chairs.

Repp had just turned to address Raelle with a quickly concealed expression of surprise, when he is unceremoniously jerked away from the lab, leaving Raelle to speak with an empty space in the lab.

It seems Keme and Repp's attitudes have helped shake Ace out of his funk a bit.
"Yeah, okay. They're getting used to me haunting the infirmary anyway. I'll see you there," Keme agreed before heading off to give the cafeteria staff the bad news about needing to transport Aananda's lunch to her lab.

Repp's eyes had narrowed suspiciously upon the maftet's arrival, and he had silently moved into a defensive posture. When the creature begins to make his accusations, Repp's eyes further narrow. "Be wary, Reviarti." Repp says quietly, his voice deadly calm and his eyes trained on the maftet's every move. As soon as they come within sight of the scene, Repp immediately stops, placing an arm on Reviarti to stop her as well. His expression is one of stone cold fury, though a deeper examination would reveal that there are tears forming in his eyes as well - ones which he rapidly blinks away. "We need every single detail we can find, before we move her. That's the only way we're ever going to catch this murderer."

Assuming Reviarti does the same, Repp will fan out with her, starting around 50 feet away from the body and searching for anything that might be out of the ordinary.

If she doesn't, then she's where she wants to be. And if you're worried about the corpse, I'll be looking at it all day, unless she gets raised today, then I'll be looking at her living body all day."

"I apologize if my manner is offputting." Repp says, finally blinking and breaking away from staring directing at Reviarti. "These emotions are hard to control. Ginni is someone I can relate closely with, and I've been very thrown by this."

"It seems... insulting and degrading, to just leave her body laying in the forest though. What is Tural and can I go with her right away to retrieve the body, and hopefully raise her?"

"Can you recreate the scene with magic? Can this Time Sight as you called it show me the scene as it was, with all the detail in-tact?" Repp asks intently, once again starting Reviarti in the eye with almost frightening intensity.

Repp relaxes his analysis slightly, nodding at that. "I understand. But there's more than just divinations that can help to identify the murderer. Tell me any details you can remember, and I'll find someone else to help me go out to Ginni, if you'd prefer to stay within the wards." "So the killer can block divinations. That means they must be a powerful mage or psion." Repp says, his eyes have narrowed and now he's studying Reviarti more intently. Repp's expression has gone very cold, and the corner of his mouth twitches, perhaps in anger. "Another?" he asks bluntly. "More than just Tanaka-senpai?" Repp asks, short and to the point, his eyes gleaming with what could be cold fury.

"If that's true, we need to find this person. They have to be stopped. But for now, we need to get to Ginni. She doesn't deserve this." Repp's sentences are short and to the point, and his blood red eyes are intently focused on Reviarti, unblinking.

As good as his word, Repp stops and focuses for a moment, and in the air in front of him forms a small likeness of Ginni in face and body - including the horns and wings which marked her demonic heritage.

Repp stops short and glances around. She had been here not five minutes ago, and she had seemed too calm and too hungry to just wander off without her breakfast. He turns his gaze back to her after a moment, getting serious, the smile disappearing from his sheet white face. "Ginni, you can't be afraid of your own abilities. You have to master them, and you if you still can't, you have to tear those abilities away and cast them aside. Having complete control of yourself is very important. And that means not being afraid of yourself."

"Oh, it's just enchantment type stuff," she said dismissively. "I inherited it from my mom. Which is why it isn't exactly safe to use being a demon ability and all. I've spent a lot of time learning how not to use it to avoid accidents."

Repp's eyes twinkle slightly at that, his grin widening slightly. "Maybe I can help with that. I might be able to help make it more safe. After all, just because it is your mother's legacy doesn't make it evil. Is this why your mind seems so... seductive? I've brushed against it once before."

"Yeah...I guess you're right. I just wish that I could protect all of them. Sounds pretty silly coming from me. I'm not exactly what you'd call powerful. I don't dare use my one good ability because of the side effects and I'm too scared to use my music so I can't really do anything with that either. My teacher could. That was part of what made her so scary. But I guess that's neither here nor there. Mostly I just hate feeling helpless."

"Which good ability is that?" Repp asks, gnomish curiosity creeping back into his voice. "You might not be as helpless as you are feeling right now. Maybe we can find an outlet for you."
