My apologies. Things have been kinda silly around here. Give me one more day and I'll try to get my life back together.

Okay, I have an idea, but I need DM decision on it. I have a grappling hook, how much damage would that do if I threw it at the skeleton? I know I get -4 to hit for being an improvised weapon. Then secondly, say I manage to hook them with it, being as they are skeletons, would I be able to do damage if it was attached to a rope or something and I yanked back real hard?

I'll give you a 1d3+str modifier to damage. And -4 to the attack.

Durion hits another skeleton, but this one doesn't go down yet.

And yes Roran, it hurts. It hurts your pride to miss again, but closer this time.

The Skeleton strikes Roran one time this round for 3 pts of damage.

Wulf and Lanten are up.

Unfortunatly, both Wulfie & Lanten were unable to attack as Roran was in the doorway, blocking access (In Melee). So Wulfies miss and Lanten's Critical were ineffective. If you want to question this, please feel free.

Durion, you are up.

Unfortunately, that was a whoosh. Wulfie, you are up, then Lanten.

Durion destroys skeleton #1.

#2 takes a five foot step and attacks Roran with two misses.

Roran is up.

As Lanten opens the door, there is a loud bang and a lot of sparks. Lanten is able to jump out of the way as it goes off. Another big surprise, there are 8 skeletons in the room, two columns of four with a five foot corridor between them running the length of the room.

Lanten finds a trap similar to the others. He tries to disable the trap but is uncertain as to his success.

You find no traps, treasure or hidden doors. This appears to be a room just to hold skeletons.

Durion takes out the last of the skeletons in this room. Everyone sits down and takes 5.

Even without the critical Wulfie turns the skeleton into a pile of bones. One left, he attacks Roran and misses both times. Durion has an attack left and if he misses, we will move onm to round 5.


Male Human GM

As you two have probably figured out, you both miss. Go Wulfie & Durion.


Male Human GM

Roran takes out another skeleton and Wulfie makes a swoosh in the air as her mace swings. Three skeletons left, one attacks Roran and misses, one attacks Wulfie & misses, last one attack Durion and misses.

Durion takes out the on in front of him. Lanten unfortunately doesn't make contact but would have taken one out with that damage. Two to go. Round 4.

Wulfie takes out another skeleton with her mace. The skeletons then attack meeting out 4 pts of damage to Wulfie. Both Durion and Lanten hit their opponents. Durion's goes down, but Lanten's doesn't seem to take any damage.

That leaves 4 down, 4 to go. Let's start round 3.

As Roran uses his holy symbol they all seem to pause for half a second as if stunned but recover in as quick a time though they all look a little more ragged.

Lanten missed. Round 2. Wulfie & Roran. 3 down & 5 to go.

Roran takes two hits for 5 and 3 points. Wulfie takes one for 4.

Durion takes out one skeleton. I am checking on Lanten's attack. My Adobe is not working. I will let you know.

Wulfie goes into the room up next to Roran and takes out skel # 8 to her right. The skeletons then make their attacks. 3 on Roran and 3 on Wulfie.

I will show results as soon as I get their Armor Classes.

They become alert as soon as you walk in, but don't attack you yet. Fortunately for you, I won't invoke the fumble deck yet. But you definitely miss. You can reach the far wall if you want.

Big suprise. Room full of skeletons. But this room is smaller. 15 feet across and 20 feet deep. 8 skeletons in the room. Four down the left side and four down the right side.

They get an initiative of 18. Order of combat:
Roran
Wulfie
Skeletons
Lanten (9+3)
Durion

At the moment they are quite still, not moving or even aware of you yet.

You were successful in disarming the trap. Simple little exploding device similar to the last one.

Sorry about that, life has made a left turn on me and I've been emotionally ground to a halt. But here goes.

Lanten, yes, you found a trap, please attempt to disable.

So, after filling the need for sustenance and beverage, the party heads back to the mansion and down the stairs, through the secret door, down the hall, past the two doors that you have examined already. Forty feet beyond the previous doors, you come upon doors on each side of the hall.

The man says, if you have further information to impart, by all means let us continue this conversation elsewhere. If you would rather wait, discussion would be acceptable at the end of your quest.

FYI, when you exited the house, it was early afternoon, the same day. It is now early evening. Dinnertime.

After some talk, eating and mostly drinking, the well-dressed gentleman who first approached you in the bar walks up to table and asks how you are progressing. He is somewhat dismayed that the group has diminished and asks what happened to the rest of the party.

When you left the house, did you use the secret tunnel the Ghost showed you or did you go back through the house?

Wulfie has had a change of heart. Is willing to run a ranger who will multiclass into a sorcerer or something like that. Between her and Doug's Frontline cleric, do you feel strong enough, or do you want me to advertise for a fighter?

Ammion steps out of the room allowing Jane to step in. She raises her holy symbol, light gathers around it and blasts forth, destroying the remainder of the skeletons. She then faints. When she revives, she discovers that her powers have gone. Deciding this is a good time to get some rest, the party heads back to the city for a break.

Jane heads back to her monastary to consult with her mistress.

Darius has an urgent message to return to his conclave.

Ammion breaks out in a terrible rash and comes to the conclusion that he is allergic to undead and decides to bow out.

I will post that Jane did a mass massacre for the Skeleti and a general retreat was issued. When returning to the inn, Darius was called away by his order for some mission. Ammian discovered that he is allergic to undead and had to bow out. There is a new cleric at the inn, looking for adventure. I guess I will advertise for one or two fighters unless Wulfie wants to change characters. How does everyone feel about a player playing more than one character. My preference is no, but I'm open to change. r

I am actually still here. I think we may need a new cleric though. I know someone who could fill in. Jane, are you still out there? I believe that Durian still has an action this turn, the dart was last turn. It should have taken out one of the skeltons, I will check which one. Then it is Jane's turn, then Lanten, Darius & Ammian. Ammian, you are still in the room, you can take a 5' step back and only face one at a time. But no one else can attack due to walls.

Second: I am willing to commit a little more to keep things moving.

I have been a little lax about bypassing players that haven't responded. I will try to speed that up a bit.

I believe it is time for the second half of the crew to move. Durion and Wulfie.

I meant Ammian to stand in the doorway (and not in the room), so only 3 skeletons would be in his range, if that's possible. Also, seems like Darius already killed #2 in the earlier post.

I will check up on #2. If you stay in the hall, you can only hit one skeleton. If you step into the room, you get 5. Unfortunately, you cant stand directly in the doorway as that isn't really a defined square. Let me do some pondering and consultation on this.

Doug, do you have an opinion on this?

Sorry, busy week.

Lanten, your arrow missed, flying right between the 4th and 5th rib on the right side.

Darius wastes #2 who is now just a pile of broken bones. Unfortunately, you are unable to cleave as no one is within range. You are able to take a 5 foot step back.

Ammian can then step into your spot right in front of door. There are no skeletons within reach without going into the room. Do you want to wait for then next one to come to you or step in?

OK. Sorry for the delay, I apologize and have no excuses, just being lazy.

Darius is just outside the door with Ammian on his left and Jane on his right. You took out skeletons # 13 and 15.

Lanten throws his holy water and does 1d6 ⇒ 1 point of damage on #2 and the splash does a point of damage on 3, 5 & 16.

The skeletons approach, but only #2 gets to attack.
Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9,1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
1 hit for 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Damage on Darius.

Durion tosses an acid dart at #2 and unfortunately misses. Elena and Wulfie are up next. Followed by the top of the order.

Jane steps up behind Darius and performs a Cure Light Wounds for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 points of healing.

Darius then slashes two skeletons in half. Do you make a 5' step afterwards?

You will need to grapple Darius. Just roll a 20 and add your CMB. This will need to equal his CMD.

Round 1 has come to an end. Back to the top of the order. Jane, Lanten, Darius and Ammian.

Darius is just inside the door, having suffered three wounds. Ammian stepped out of the way to let Jane come in an do a possible cure on Darius. All others are standing back hoping to get a shot in.

Ammian:
You can attempt to grapple Darius. 1d20+CMB -vs- his CMD, move hime around you and take his place using your move action, at which point you can step in, or not. That will be the end of your turn and you will get no attack. If you fail your grapple, you can still step out of the way to let the cleric in.

Darius takes a 5 foot step into the room, attacks and kills #15 and cleaves #13. Both go down. You are unable to make any further movement.

Ammian, you will have to wait unil next round after Darius moves to enter the room.

The skeletons surround Darius and hit 3 times for 3,3 & 3 pts of damage (9 total).

Durion, Elena & Wulfie are up next.

Ammian:
If you want Jane to be able to heal Darius next round, you will need to take a 5' step this round out of the way. Then next round you will still be able to get into the room if Darius has moved out of the way.

Jane: You don't feel any different, but you do believe that the skeletons cannot see you.

Lanten: You hit #4 for 2d4 ⇒ (1, 4) = 5 points of damage. It falls. #1,2,3,5&6 all seem to take a little splash damage. You do not get to fire this round.

Darius and Ammian, where do you place yourselves.

Before Darius and Ammian enter the room, Jane and Lanten can do something. The room looks the same as the last, only running south from the door. The skeletons are on either side of the room, every 5 feet, 2 rows deep, leaving the center cooridor empty.
