Round 6

Reill skirts the side of the building and nimbly makes his way over to Borrum, brandishing his wand of CLW. Realizing that Borrum's survival was closely linked to the rest of their survival, Reill decides the enlarged dwarf could use a little bit of extra energy more than Galdamor. He takes cover behind Borrum as he taps his wand against his leg.

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Reill feels his way towards the sounds of his friends through the fog along the side of the tower, eventually spotting Galdamor, and noticing he is rather injured.

"Thank the gods, I found you all! Galdamor, stand still!"

He taps his wand against the cleric's wounds.

Sorry, Borrum. As much as I would have loved to use that charge on you, it just seems a stretch to me that I would be able to just run to you and cure you, what with you being on the other side of the tower and the fog. I mean, I can understand have a general idea of where your voice came from but... yeah. The bat was right there ;x

Reill stops singing as his eyes open wide in horror.

MY FRIENDS NEED ME!!!

Following the closest sounds of pain, he stumbles into the bat in the fog, wand at the ready, and heals him for 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 points.

But I can't see any of that from the fog? Perhaps someone has shouted to me? I don't think Reill would have the presence of mind to leave the fog to survey the situation without a direct reason. He is sort of... easily distracted. By songs and poems and such mostly.

"I saw my baaaaaaaaaaaaaby, crying hard as babe could cry! What could I do! My baby's love had gone, and left my baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaby blue. Nobody knew! What kind of magic spell to use..."

Reill loves David Bowie

Reill peeks around the corner and thinks to himself: Oh s#&%!

He then begins to chant a real dirty grease bag song. His eyes begin to glow with arcane magic as he summons up his magical abilities and turns and points to coat the courtyard with slick grease!

Casting grease centered on L15. I think this should catch the worgs and gobs all in the area of effect.

Borrum, I think what DM Greg is saying is that since the stealth check failed, technically the combat starts at the point you were spotted. I imagine it as similar to the xbox game Knights of the Old Republic where the game freezes the moment combat starts and you choose your action for that turn. Not trying to agree or disagree, just popping in with my two cents.

"Damned be these vile creatures! Gah... we should have known it wasn't going to be easy. Does anyone spot that manticore?"

Back when I first started traveling and singing songs about the a-changin' times, I found myself along the Wild Coast and came across this band of pirates who paid me a pretty copper to keep them entertained along a several week voyage, and upon this island we came across a whole valley of giants and took all the treasure that the crew had gathered... I think an owl would be super cool, but probably much less than useful. A bear would be a decent replacement tank, where I imagine a wolf would be more of a tactical melee... also, there's the option of a horse. I guess a horse would always be helpful. Still think we need a sleepy owl that is always grumpy he's being kept awake.

Reill will then agree to staying at the cabin, and suggest everyone else head there as well to lick their wounds.

Along the way, he will begin picking out some chords and softly sing.

"Spikes and swords and lightning bolts, flying 'cross the sky. Great danger in the fortress dwells, that'll surely end yer life. Run run, run run for the fading sun, run run if your life you cherish. run run, run run for the fading sun, or you shall surely perish... Hmm... no that won't do..."

Does my spot check let me know who the minotaur is attacking?

Reill will continue to sing some Grateful Dead to inspire his allies, but he will stop playing his lute in order to move out of the doorway (move to M11), pulling out his bow as he moves.

Huzzah! Thanks, DM Greg!

Reill, feeling the renewed burst of energy, stands at the back of the room, kiddy cornered from the doorway. He notches an arrow into his shortbow and hopes he is out of the way from another blast of spikes!

Readied action to shoot the manticore as soon as he can see it

readied action:

Shortbow: 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 1 = 101d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
