Refeng nods in agreement with the man in the Taoist priest's garb. "Stealth is good, but we've traveled for a day to get here, all drawn by some force. Whatever has called us here did so for a reason, to ignore it or delay might bring ill fortune upon us." she said, looking at the light streaming from the windows of the building.

After sneaking off in the confusion, Refeng noted several of those who caused the commotion grouped together talking. Sneaking up on them she overheard their discussions and witnessed them call upon their willpower to leave this place. If they can do it, perhaps I can as well. Sitting down, she focused and meditated, trying to will herself free from the afterlife. When she finally emerged, she saw the group heading off into the distance. Feeling a need to head in that direction as well, she decided her best bet would be to shadow them for now. When the group finally came upon a village and appeared to stop, she approached, halting at a respectful distance before announcing herself. "Fellow travellers, I have followed in your footsteps since leaving Hell, and we seem to share a common destination. I am Refeng and I would join you on your journey." she called out in a courteous tone.

Bad timing, but I'll be away starting tomorrow through the 15th. I'll have no real internet access until then. If things are moving quickly this week, perhaps it'd make sense to have Refeng shadow the group and join when I return?

A tall woman stood among the line of souls, taking stock of the situation. Her round face is set with eyes whose irises are the color of dried blood, and framed by short, jet black hair. Her skin was ruddy and clearly bore the mark of many days under the relentless sun. Her loose white garb seemed to be of simple make and unadorned, which combined with her skin marked her as one of the barbarians from the south, likely a Hong. Slung over her shoulder are a small cloth bundle fashioned into a makeshift backpack and a dao in an ornate ebony scabbard. Thinking about the situation, she shook her head. This cannot be! It is not time yet, my debts are not yet paid. This path cannot be mine, I will not accept it! One day perhaps, but not this one. She ducked down low trying to move so the crowd would block her from the sight of the ogres. If I can lose their attention, perhaps I can sneak away unseen. Or at least make it far enough before being spotted to still escape. I can figure out what to do after that. Stealth: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Gotcha. I'm pretty sure that it's all core and featured races, but definitely want to run your choice by Cpt. Marvelous to be sure. Also you might want to run that feat by him since it's not on d20pfsrd. I wish Paizo would just go ahead and add it as an official feat so people could build more than just scimitar or agile weapon builds.
Other races were allowed (original post said "core and base" which I believe meant core and featured), but all races are essentially tribes of humans in the setting. As for if they're good, I don't know that they're any better than the core races. Point-wise they're only a 6 point race, but their kit works really well for her. |
