"Choking her seems kinda mean... but I don't wish to see her killed even to save us..." she speaks up quietly and tentatively. She'd nearly forgotten her own fear of talking around other people after the horrors of his mountain. At least until she started to do so. She hopes Borris's attempt will work so no harm would come to her. She has been hurt enough already, as far as Redona is concerned.
Redona stands with Borris, silent. There was little she could do for them, and felt rather awkward just standing there.
Redona agrees with Misha with a silent nod before deciding to speak up, herself. "I know Borris might do okay, but I feel safer with everyone else if we get um... ambushed or something." she agreed.
Redona watches Rikar and Krieg go about their business, keeping her weapon in her hand for now and following Misha. "Why are there so many just staring down there?" she asks curiously.
Redona, unable to shoot the creature that dove under the water, aims her crossbow at the one that is visible, though she has to be careful not to hit her allies, and it throws off her aim slightly.
With no one else choosing which direction to go, Redona looks at the options. "We don't know where any of them go... what do you say we head East first?" she asked the group, choosing one at random.
Redona had latched onto the part about Kreig and his friends getting caught trying to find this place. "T-that means... if we find something for your friends... we might accomplish more than one great thing here. Right?"
Redona drops her crossbow, moving up to N19 as she draws her melee weapon since she's afraid to hit her companions with the crossbow at this proximity.
Redona readies her crossbow, muttering a prayer as she does so. Her bless spell washes over the party. "Show em the gods' light," she tells Borris encouragingly.
Redona casts the Light spell on her buckler, using it a lot like a lantern attached to her arm. "W-was this a mine of some sort?" she asks as she raises her arm for better lighting as she looks around.
Redona hides partially behind another nearby pillar for cover (if that's possible, otherwise she stays behind the party), and she takes aim with her crossbow, firing it at the Fury saying another small prayer to guide her allies in the fight.
Redona shakes her head at the potions. "I have my spells, and if I need anything I'll ask. But I think you guys would use them better than me while I stand back and flail with a crossbow," she chuckles.
Redona shrugs "Oh well. At least one of us can use it," she grins. It didn't really bother her, she just didn't mind having more tricks up her sleeve for when fights were harder than their last one. She then prepares to follow behind Misha where the Morlock takes them.
Redona takes an interest in the Divine scrolls immediately upon their discovery. "Think any of these will be useful for me?" she asks the group as she grabs one to examine. She was becoming relaxed after fights faster and faster lately, going from combat mode to jovial alarmingly fast for the innocent cleric girl who had signed on for the trip. "So um... does anyone have a spell to read magic prepared?"
Redona is at first surprised by the quick demise of the spider, letting out a bit of a gasp, then by the sound of the creatures behind them saying something she didn't understand. She's momentarily distracted by Rikar, however, when he teases his kitty friend about her lack of help with the spider. "I think she's decided bugs are more your area of expertise," she chuckled, watching the big cat lick her paws with an amused expression.
Redona didn't like the way the plan wasn't working. Since when were spiders so smart? Krieg threw his dagger and ran, and Redona waited for a signal to attack. That signal came when Borris jumped out to attack. Redona, hoping to help the Paladin, pokes out enough to fire her crossbow.
Redona simply waits to see the spider, her trusty crossbow at the ready. It killed that horrible beast before, it can do it again. With Sarenrae's help of course.
Redona waited quietly as the others planned. Fire sounded like it might be a good idea, though she hoped it wouldn't hurt something else while they burned the spider. "But Misha, what about any treasure that might be in there? I mean... Archaeological stuff? Are we going to take that chance? ...It's okay either way to me. I'd rather people be safe... but I know you and all..."
Redona reshoulders her gear for what seems like the millionth time in the past week or so, nodding at Misha and the others before following, taking up the rear.
"Well... if they're in need of help I can't deny them." Redona reminds the party. "It's my job as a cleric of my goddess. Even if I'm not very good at fighting." She smiles gently at the creatures, giving them a nod. She was technically in a bind, even if she didn't mind helping. She doubted Borris could say no to smiting evil that was troubling people either.
"... I don't have any makeup..." Redona answers Kreig quietly and overly seriously as Misha negotiated and Josef and Kreig contribute in their own way. She grins and shakes her head afterwords. "But even if they aren't the prettiest creatures, they might not be evil. Borris do you detect any evil?" Redona asks the paladin.
Redona blinks, confused for a moment as Misha pantomimes at the fight, before grinning, unable to help herself. She chuckles quietly, putting a hand over her mouth as she tries not to distract the "conversation" going on between Misha and the creatures. She didn't want to make any sudden moves, and despite being uncomfortable being pointed out to the creature, she attempts to stay calm and still.
"What are those things?" Redona whispers to the nearest party member as she eyes the creatures. When one steps out and speaks, Redona lowers her own weapon and looks at it, perplexed. She really wished she had a speak language spell or something right about now. Though given her dislike of greeting new people, she wouldn't have said anything unless she had to anyway, she supposed.
Redona follows Misha, a little further behind due to her noisier armor.
I have the wisdom tear, but I can't remember what color it was, Rikar.
Redona stares, wide-eyed at the dwarven weapons. They were like looking right at a living legend... more or less. At least if what Josef was saying were true. "They're right, Mr. Kreig," Redona said, as lighthearted as Rikar after the encounter. She still couldn't believe she'd managed to land the blow that had saved her friends and herself. She kept saying prayers in her head in thanks for the shot, though she mostly just looked unusually bubblyon the outside. "A dwarven hero as great as you deserves great adventuring gear."
"Of course." Redona goes to work quickly, examining Latys and giving her a quick pat on the head. "Good job, girl." she tells the creature as she lays her hands on the beast. She channels a CMW spell into it, closing what wounds she can.
"There you go, Latys. You look much better now!" Redona looked positively pleased with herself after felling the horrible beast and saving her friends, then doing such a good job with her healing spells.
goblinoids don't generally have very high CR's, so higher seems like a waste since even without it you'll easily be outclassing them pretty soon.
Redona level up: HP + 10 Religion +1, Sense Motive +1, Perception +1 3rd level prepared spell: Prayer (2)
Feats: Weapon Focus (Crossbow) - to help with that hit ratio! I hope I didn't forget anything. It's been awhile since I leveled a character at this point lol.
"Uh oh." Redona backs up, using a 5 foot step to go back and to the left to get out of the creature's way while avoiding its strikes. Loading her crossbow again, she fires, wishing this fight would be over and everyone would be okay.

Redona, unable to get close enough to touch Rikar safely, instead positions herself in a way that will let her cast bless on the party. saying a small prayer, the blessing washes over everyone. "I hope that helps," she says quietly.
"Borris! Where are you going?!" Redona asks in surprise. She's sure that the creature is behind whatever's going on, and says a silent prayer that Borris will be okay without her running after him. Redona frowns, aiming and firing her crossbow at the beast before backing up to fall back like Misha suggested. crossbow

Redona blinks, holding her weapon defensively. She now also wields a look of confusion, glancing around, but staying rooted in her spot as the others react. "What's going on?" she asks the others. Had they really heard something? And if they had, had they been somewhere else... or maybe left with magic? "Were we mistaken or something?"
Redona readies her morningstar for once, deciding to follow the others into the room. She says a prayer in her head to not give anything away (she knows better, after all) and grins at Misha for her cleverness, giving her a nod. She then adopts a serious face, preparing for what might be a fight ahead.
Redona frowns as well, watching the others at their work. She knows enough to stay absolutely quiet, but isn't sure what's going on. She suddenly wishes she had better ears or something, and watches helplessly, gripping her crossbow just in case. She does, however, strain to figure out what people are reacting to. Perception
Hey guys, sorry I've not been posting very regularly. The month's been unexpectedly busy and checking here hasn't been the first thing on my mind when I got time. I might be a bit sporadic atm, so like I've said before botting Redona is fine if there's a fight or something she's needed in. Sorry again.
Redona takes the charisma stone out of her pack, looking between it and the other one. She blinks for a moment like she'd thought of something important before speaking up again."I... appreciate the first one you gave me and all... but I think Borris will be better served with it. I tell you what... since it's so dangerous here, I'll take that one," she says as she points to the stone that gives a wisdom bonus, "And... you take this one." she hands Borris the charisma enhancing stone, taking the wisdom one. "I have a feeling you've been wanting it anyway, but you're too nice to ask," she tells Borris with a big smile. It was hard to believe not long ago at all she didn't trust the man for wanting to kill every creature they found. Now she was in agreement with him, at least, and she was beginning to not only trust him, but to consider him a good friend. "Oh! Also, don't hold two of them." she tells the others when it crosses her mind again. "They er... do funny things to your brain. I couldn't think for a moment." With that done, she picked made sure she didn't drop anything when her mind went fuzzy, then followed behind the paladin, following Rikar's lead.
Redona shakes her head. She wasn't very up on local rumors and knowledge. Not even where she had stayed in Absalom. "I doubt I know much that'd help," she admits with a thoughtful frown. She moves on from her thoughts after a moment. "If there's a dark power here, we definitely need to find it... and I'm sure Borris will agree we should destroy it so no one can use it for evil."
Redona reaches over and gently touches Borris, casting Cure Light Wounds on him with a grin. She hadn't yet noticed Misha since she hadn't made a big deal about her injuries, but was relieved when she cleaned herself up. "Alright, let's try to be more careful, alright? I know this is what I'm here for, Mr. Paladin, but I can only do so much," she chides. CLW
Redona pokes the goblins to make sure they're dead, before going to help Borris up. "Do you need healing or anything?" she asks him with a concerned tone, brushing him off slightly.
Redona reloads her crossbow, moving forward to G13 to get closer, and to get a better angle on the next shot, if she has time to get one.
Redona hoists up the crossbow she always has close at hand within the mountain, taking aim at one of the casting goblins. If she can hit it, perhaps it will interrupt the spell it is casting! crossbow
