How long before the day will the stores get the adventure? I have volunteered to run it at the store that day and need a bit to make some pre-gens and get prepped.

I think a lot of the basic suggestions have already been made, but I'll reiterate some favorites. A general Castle would be excellent. Temple would be grand. Forest tiles for those random wilderness encounters (complete with outlying farm perhaps). A swamp / underwater locale eventually. Now that we have the town, perhaps a city?
There was an indication on maxminis a week or two ago that issue #337 would include a miniatures scale battle mat. Is there any more info available on that?
I've played a fair bit of 3.5 and other D20, and am running an AE homebrew campaign. In my homebrew I let the characters roll 5d6 and drop the lowest two. I think that was a mistake, at level one a human unfettered has a +7 to hit with a bonded masterwork rapier with weapon focus. I have to make all the encounters tougher. The bad part is one of the characters ended up with only one 15 and thirteen, the rest were lower. I think I might do the 28 point buy for five characters.
Well, I'm starting AoW on Tuesday night and have never run D&D 3.5 or pre-made adventures. Anyone have any suggestions for starting out? Things to recommend to my players? Things to disqualify? Point buy balance or luck of the roll?
Just curious if everythings still on target for the end of August Compleat Encounter. Where (besides the Paizo store) will these things be available (if anywhere).

First, I'm really looking forward to these products, maps and adventures are always good. The concept art for the minis is making me think about trying to start painting as a hobby. My questions: Did you take the D&D miniatures game into consideration when designing the maps for balance and possible scenario play? Were you aware of the Wizards Fane of the Drow and Hellspike Prison products when you developed these mini adventures and maps? Do you think that they will hurt your products or work in conjunction with them? I plan on buying all of these as long as they're half as good as they look. Those ninjas are darn cool. |
