Technically Arcane Deed: Precise Strike didn't work even before the errata because, as the errata now explicitly states, it had no Swashbuckler level. Whether that was the original intent, who knows. People using it as such came down to a vast, collective cry of "of COURSE it's supposed to work, they just made a mistake!" Which may be true, but again, who knows.

As of this errata, Arcane Deed is dead, and not just for Precise Strike. The vast majority of deeds no longer function for the magus.

You could always be a gnome with a giant frog mount.

Just because it's cool to ride a frog.

While only second level, I am loving life as a sylvan sorcerer. My Giant frog mount, George, is also great.

Exotic mounts are available, just not to the classes focused on using mounts.

I get to ride a Roc at level 1. Could have chosen a tiger, but what the heck .... flying is way cooler.

Actually it saids "Spells cast in this way must come from a class that grants an animal companion."

Now that sorcerer is a class that grants an animal companion doesn't that mean all the spells from the sorcerer/wizard list is fair game regardless of how you cast the spell.

This is a build I am considering for PFS. A gnome sylvan sorcerer with a Quetzalcoatlus mount as an animal companion. Very focused on a Fey theme. Boon Companion as my 3rd level feat.

I want to be able to handle a fair number of the faction missions and eventually concentrate on summoning around 7+.

As other options, I was considering a Giant Frog or a Slug mount.

Any advice for keeping him viable until he starts getting 2nd and 3rd level spells?
