Really sorry, but I saw the empty file problem had been resolved, so I started downloading the books I ordered yesterday. The first one was fine, but the second book (wrath of the righteous) is still having issues.

I tried downloading both before going to the customer service board, saw there were issues, and stopped trying until I saw the post today that it had been resolved. For the first file, I hit the "problems?" link to refresh the download, and it worked correctly. But I forgot I had tried downloading the second book as well, and tried downloading it directly. Now, no matter how many times I refresh the download, refresh the download page, mark all as downloaded, delete my cookies, and delete the folders from my download menu, it only ever downloads an empty file folder. The download page is showing the correct file size, it just isn't actually downloading anything when I click the link.

Hello,

I emailed customer service on Feb 28th, and have been waiting and watching the customer service backlog thread. I noticed today that the new update said the customer service inbox was at 0, but I hadn't received a response yet. I'm sorry if I misinterpreted, and am causing issues, but just wanted to double check my email wasn't missed on accident.

I placed an order back in late January or Feb for a deck of the Harrow cards, which was added to my subscription order. I received an email on Feb 4th that my subscription was getting ready to ship out, but no updates since then and I haven't received any of the pdf's either.

A few days ago, I went and looked at the items I had purchased to see if they might be the problem with the shipping, and I found that the deck was permanently out of print, with no option to purchase it on the product page. I think I added it to my cart when browsing the deck products page, but I don't know why my order wasn't flagged when the warehouse got it.

If possible, can I have the harrow deck voided, and then the deluxe harrow deck purchased instead? I realize this will cause a price difference and I'm cool with that, I just want to get the order moving again.

I have a question about a very late game artifact, and how often it can be used.

Spoiler:
How often can Karzoug use Scrying through the Runewell of Greed? Is it once every hour, as per the casting time of the spell, or, since it's described as an At Will ability of the artifact, can he spam it every round?

I'm a bit confused by the wording of magic item use abilities, and how GM's have dealt with this in the past. I can't find anything about situations where

Spoiler:
Karzoug has needed to scry on the party, but the party doesn't have any medallions on them

I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place to post this, but I've been wondering lately about the design origins of the Qlippoth. They're one of my favorite extraplanar types, and I've always been curious about how these were made for the system. I can't find any articles on it (at least, on the first five pages of the forum & blog search, and google isn't helping much either.) Has Paizo ever been asked this at a Con, or written any blog posts about it?

Full disclosure, though, yesterday I decided to ask a Jewish co-worker how to actually pronounce the name, and that turned into a discussion on how the name was picked, and the real-world origins, and so on. Which, because of what's going on the the world today, turned into a discussion of other stuff. I'd like to be able to tell her the origins of this whole thing, if only for her own peace of mind.

Quote:

BORROW AN ARCANE SPELL

If you’re an arcane spellcaster who prepares spells, during your daily preparations, you can attempt to prepare a spell from someone else’s spellbook. The GM sets the DC for the check (see Table 4–2 on page 146).
Success You prepare the borrowed spell as part of your normal spell preparation.
Failure You fail to prepare the spell, but the spell slot remains available for you to prepare a different spell. You can’t try to prepare this spell until the next time you prepare spells.

I noticed what I'm hoping is a flaw with this skill use, under Arcana Trained Activities. The name of the skill use does use "Arcane" in it, but the actual skill itself doesn't indicate that the spell you're trying to borrow or the spellbook that it's from needs to be arcane, and it also doesn't say that the spell you're borrowing needs to be on your spell list. As far as I can tell, the only broken use for this means that you can try to borrow a Bard's Occult spell, from their class feat that gives them a spellbook, but I thought it worth bringing this up.
