Ray sighs He doesn't seem threatening and he seems to know more than us. He puts away his Rapier "Sorry guess I'm still a little on edge. What will happen to me, that strange feeling? What is it?" He looks at the strange emblem "What does that symbol mean?" He kneels down by the water aswell and begins washing his wounds. Ray draws his rapier and stumbles to his feet "How do you know it will fade?" He looks shocked at the sudden appearance of this man. Ray listens as Calist introduces himself, he replies but keeps his sword pointed at the mans chest "I am Ray, this is my companion Navaris." He looks down at his bloodied side "I do, but how do I know I can trust you."

Ray walks over to the water and kicks a nearby stone into it. "I don't know what this is." Suddenly he turns and walks over to her taking her hands in his "Are you ok...I mean that was a tough few minutes we had back there." He smiles kindly, "Try washing your hands in the lake. Never know might help." He looks about himself for anything unusual while Navaris busies herself with the strange feeling. Perception:

Don't worry about it I completely understand. Plus we have gotten quite far in a short period of time. This is moving really quickly for a PbP. :D Ray looks back at the Skeletons, relief in his eyes, then fear sinks in. "I don't know what this feeling is, but I really don't like it." He looks down at his wounds assessing the damage, he quickly realises that one more blow may just have finished him off. The adrenaline stops coursing and pain replaces it. He pushes it back and tries to focus once more. Perception Check:

He gets a moment of relief when the stone slides into place...then realises it was probably not such a good idea. He replies to Navaris's frantic question "I don't know why you feel it but it's I can't feel it. Step near the centre see if that helps." Initiative:

I don't know what it does but might help us." He drops his crossbow next to the stone leaving it within easy reach. She runs over and tries to help him lift the large stone back into place. Ray moves close enough to study the stones but he is wary enough not to step straight into the circle. He remains about 10ft away and studies the symbols of each stone individually. Knowledge Check:

He packs up his stuff once more and holds his crossbow ready, however he hasn't loaded a bolt. Navaris draws her Longsword as they walk. OOC: That's no problem I understand completely. I have a couple of weeks off uni so I am able to post fairly often at the moment.
I am really enjoying it I have no complaints so far :D I will take baby steps with the CNPC thing just so I can get a feel for how it works. Let me know if I overstep anything.

He finishes up his food not saying much more, then he packs his things and takes his crossbow from the back of his pack. He glances sideways at Navaris and shrugs "Just in case." Ray hears the snap of bone and smiles wryly, Harder punch than I thought. Then he grimaces as the pain arches through his leg, he flexes slowly feeling how bad the damage is, eliciting a sharp grunt as he does. "Won't be able to walk... for a day or two at least." He stretches out on the ground recovering his breath before slowly crawling over to the creatures body. He inspects it to see what type of beast it is or if it holds any useful equipment. Perception Roll:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9 After looking at the creature he tries to find any large sticks that he could maybe use as a walking stick or splint. He is careful not to put any pressure on the leg. Perception Roll:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 Finally he will return to the camp and roll out his Bedroll, sleeping and eating periodically through the day. If nothing happens during the night he will rest until morning before setting off through the forest once more if possible. OOC: Hmm I prefer the alternate version (1d4+CON) obviously because it will benefit me hugely ;) but on a different note it actually makes sense due to the fact that people heal at different rates and such so my vote is for your version.
Yey I will be punching more often ;) I didn't want to break my crossbow so went with the punch. Can I just ask is there any way that my character can find out what the creature is? Is the tingly feeling still there are has that gone since the creature died?

I don't mind taking damage though, maybe like rolling one of the damage dice then the critical is the condition however it is up to you in all honesty depends how overpowered this could end up being. But thanks for not killing me off straight away... I hope ;) He is over my left shoulder does this mean I can try and punch him? If not Ray will just stand up from the crouch.

Ray will rest his back to the fire watching the creature run around, while he does so he removes his Crossbow, inserting a bolt into the mechanism. Once the weapon is prepared lays it on his lap for easy reach and begins eating some of his rations, however he is always ready and waiting in case the creature attacks. He eventually plucks up the courage to call out "Reveal yourself. I wish you no harm...All I want is to sleep and then carry on my journey." He thinks for a moment before speaking again a cool bead of sweat dribbling down his forehead. "I would welcome you into my camp...Aslong as your not evil that is." diplomacy:

The Language ruling makes a lot of sense so that sounds good to me. Rolls are fine it would take a lot longer if I rolled everything. Yep the fear was true, I don't want to lose Ray yet. Yet I really want to know what that creepy feeling is coming from!!! Hmm I won't complain about the House Rule but you have definitely made me wary of using it...at least until curiosity gets the better of me.

Ray feels fear trickling down his spine and a cold sweat seeps into his clothes "What do you want" he screams into the forest. His nerves are raw and he does not know how much more stalking he can take. However he knows his body is weak and that he will need rest if he wishes to ever survive in the wilderness. He begins searching for any sticks, twigs or leaves that he can make a fire with. Perception Roll:
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25 If he finds enough he will make a fire in the centre open clearing, making sure to keep it lit through the night. Also if he finds enough sticks he will light several and form a ring of lit sticks around his camp.

Ray sits down letting the strange feeling prickle across his skin. He studies the hairs on his arms as they rise and the goose pimples that quickly follow. It does not feel evil or threatening in the least. "Yet why can I not shake my unease." Finally after a short amount of time curiosity got the better of him, he rose and headed off in the direction of the woods. As the world gets darker he will remove a torch and risk lighting it. Im scared ;)

He breathes deeply as the wind washes lightly over his body and through his hair before he checks that his equipment is secured and begins walking along the hill, heading towards the trees Northwest of him. He mumbles quietly to himself as he walks. "Purveyors of life? What has happened to me? Who were those... people?" He shakes off the thoughts that were troubling him "This land is beautiful, the least I can do is enjoy it." Ray continues on enjoying the morning sun, the grass springing up instantly after his light steps.

I would agree with what you initially thought, travelling would be my first choice then exploring later on once he has the lay of the land. All I did was just add the numbers into the part onto the class/level part of the alias. Just realised that I forgot to add on my +2 bonus for been Human, so I would add that to charisma if that is all right. I will wait for your go ahead before I post anything in the gameplay :)

Rayalai. Ray for short has medium length dark brown hair, his fringe is seeps down to just above his strikingly bright green eyes. Thick bristles of hair line his cheeks and jaw and yet despite his youth, specks of grey can already be seen littering the stubble. He stretches in his darkened leather armour, the muscles in his shoulders and arms clench as he deftly swings his Rapier Sword. The blade swings silently through the air and you know that he could kill you in a heartbeat. He stops moving and you can see a large crossbow and bolts strapped to a backpack aswell as a dagger concealed at the base of his spine. Description here, hope you like.
