Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

As always Rashmi wakes early and finds herself somewhere out of the way where she won't disturb anyone else to practice her morning exercises and some combat maneuvers. Keeping silent and to herself unless she's approached by any of the others at which point she'll respectfully stop to talk to them.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"I would like to earn money to survive whilst I learn more in this place" Rashmi eventually decides with a polite smile. "Although I really am unsure as to what I could do to help around a gambling hall, I am merely a student."

Rorsius is pleasantly surprised to see Rashmi waiting and he gives a gentle nod."Thank you." Says the gravely voice. He grabs her hand quickly when she lays it upon his shoulder-as if it was some unexpected attacker, but instead of shifting his hips to throw the attacker over his shoulder, he realized it was Rashmi and turned to observe her hand."I did not expect these to be able to do what they did." He admitted before quickly releasing her hand from his grip as if he was suddenly aware of overstepping some barrier-His more than her own.

With a smile Rashmi shakes her head slightly "It was nothing, I learnt to move in combat as well as to dance and to move through life" She explains with apparent ease as the group makes their way along behind Saul.

At the proposal from the owner the Vudrani woman pauses and appears to contemplate the notion. Silently she patiently waits for the others to all have their say before declaring her own thoughts.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gently smooths out her saree and allows the others to speak as she recomposes herself after the fight. Smiling gently she waits for Rorsius to return before placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, silently offering her support before walking along beside him at the rear of the group.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi merely raises an eyebrow at Saul's appearance and accusations, remaining silent and focused as a thug tries to attack her. Swiftly she aims her knee at her assailants ribs before delivering a punch to his face.

Spoiler:
Does Rashmi think she can get to the robed man in time to stop him casting? If so she'll rush him, of not she'll avert her eyes.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a gentle, thankful smile at Narnel's words and actions. Deciding it's better safe than sorry she mingles amongst the people near the doors and keeps an eye out for anything noteworthy.

Perception (1d20+6=15)

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

At Rorsius' words Rashmi quietly pushes her drink away fromherself and stands with grace and purpose. Leaving the redheaded man to keep an eye on Saul she gives a polite nod of the head to Narnel as though to excuse herself before turning on heel and heading towards the door to keep an eye on it.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a warm smile at Narnel's polite appearance and request. Gently she invlines her head to him. "Of course I do not mind." She declares certainly, curious as to why he refuses the mark so adamantly but refrains from remarking.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Not one to labour a point Rashmi gives a light smile and a little nod. "Then it seems we are both hoping for the same thing, for you to be proved wrong on this" She concludes easily "but only time will prove or disprove your outlook for you. I just hope I'm around when you find out that I do not overestimate people. In dire times a hero, or heroes, will arise."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"I have faith but I am not blind, Rorsius" Rashmi replies, her tone becoming increasingly flat and firm as she fights a small spark of anger within her at her companion's willingness to just give up. "You seek to deal with the darkness of the blot and whatever evil it may herald yet you have no faith in goodness? Not in others? And maybe not in yourself? How will you be victorious if you have no light to comabt the darkness that plagues you?"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"I am but a stundent, I claim to be nothing more or nothing less, but my faith will never waiver" Rashmi replies certainly "It saddens me that you have become so downtrodden, if you cannot have faith in others then have faith and happiness in yourself. You have no need to be so dark and bitter if you just look in yourself and see the positives rather than the negatives." She adds simply, her eyes never leaving Rorsius.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi's body language tenses slightly for a moment at his snapping. "You lack faith" She comments certainly and a little sadly "No matter how many bad people you meet, and unpaletable experiences you go through, you should never give up hope. There are good people in the world, good and just people and whilst not every dark matter can be resolved people will do their best to combat the darkness, because that is what is right."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi watches him with concern for a moment before replacing her polite smile and inclining her head in another small bow. "Thank you, for considering me pleasureable company. I am enjoying spending time with you also" She replies genuinely before looking thoughtful again.

"As for the blot, I truly hope it doesn't herald something dark, but even if it does, I am sure the people who do the good and right things in this world will prevail"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

With a gentle smile Rashmi sips her drink. "Then perhaps we need to find more good company for you, a life without pleasure is a very sad life indeed" She replies certainly "You're an interesting man Rorsius, if company brings you joy then I am sure with time you can gather a great many friends who you will find 'good company'"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi looks thoughtful for a long moment before speaking up in a level tone, a small smile curling her lips "To know your life is to know contentment. To Rise above your life is to know uncertainty. To sink below your life is to know despair" She quotes, looking thoughtfully into Rorsius' eyes as she finishes.

"You are clearly a deep thinker, you will find your life, I am sure of it. The only issue you may have is embracing it fully, taking pleasure in all aspects of your life, no matter how mundane they may appear to most."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi looks over Rorsius' coat with a smile "You are clearly skilled, you should be proud. But if this place in life brings you despair then perhaps it is too far beneath where you truly belong in life" She muses thoughtfully "If that is the case, I hope you find your place and certainty some time soon"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"So, what do you do, for a living?" She asks curiously, unable to resist trying to find out a little more about the redheaded man after sharing so much about herself. "Or in your free time?" She adds in case he has no career, or doesn't wish to share it.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1
Rorsius wrote:
"Then it is your trials that have shaped you into what you are today. Do not regret the path you have chosen." He says bluntly.

"I do not regret a thing Rorsius, if things were easier for me then I wouldn't be me" Rashmi declares in agreement with his words, her tone gentle. Thoughtfully running a fingertip around the rim of her cup she cannot help but smiles a little "It has been a long time since I last spoke to someone like this about myself and my beliefs."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"The first Ashrama, life stage, is devoted to the study of gaining new knowledge, learning to live a life of right action, practicing self-discipline, celibacy, meditation.." She trails off with a smile before sipping from her sup once more "Although I must admit it is hard without a devoted guru, were I at home, and if I had had parents I would be approaching my second life stage by now"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"Learning" Rashmi replies simply with a little bright grin "Those who follow the teachings of the Vigrahin Patitraka and similar texts believe that the first quarter or so of our lives is the life of a student. Usually a student will take on a guru to help guide them through this stage of their life. Unfortunately as an unwanted daughter of Vudran I had no offers of in depth mentorship. So I chose to travel, to use the world, experiencing it, as my guru before potentially entering my next life stage.. although that in itself will be difficult as well due to my upbringing."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a warmer smile, a small glimmer of approval in her eyes at her companion's response. Slowly she sips at her juice, thoughtfully savouring it's flavour before giving another smile at Rorsius' name for the drink. "Nowhere near as sinful as our hosts, and the vessel its in.." She eyes the succubi on the goblet dubiously "..would lead most to believe. It's good juice, it doesn't need the gilding"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi needed little ushering, at the slightest gesture she obediently makes her way towards the nearby table, waiting for Rorsius to be seated before taking her own seat. Looking to his choice of drink she gives a smile. "You do not drink alcohol?" She enquires curiously, her smile apologetic, making it plainly obvious that she would take no offence if he didn't want to reply.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi smiles gently "I'm sorry for interupting your thoughts" She declares simply, taking a small step back and way from him, her eyes only briefly flicking to the caged beast with an understanding expression before looking at Rorsius again.

"Some kind of fruit juice would be nice.. if not just water, thank you" She responds warmly to is offer.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Moving gracefully through the crowds, Rashmi keeps close to Rorsius, following him to the bar. Her steps light she keeps a step behind him with ease, her eyes travelling over the choice of decor and attire for the staff, her personal opinions once again kept firmly hidden, kept to herself for the time being.

As she reaches the bar she observes the redheaded man closely as he looks at the caged creature. "Would you like me to get the drinks?" She enquires quietly, feeling a little guilty for not leaving him to his thoughts.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a slight smile and a nod as she leaves the gamblers to focus on their fun and gives all of her attention to Rorsius. Politely she clasps her hands in front of her and leaves it to her newfound companion to decide what to say or do next.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi watches the gamblers head off to exchange their money for chips for a moment before refocusing on Rorisius with a smile. "It would be an honour to keep you company" She replies easily "If you are sure you wish the company" She adds, trying to gague whether he has invited her out of a genuine desire for company or out of politeness.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"Baladata, girls school, where the unwanted girls that parents couldn't quite bring themselves to kill are brought as infants to be raised." Rashmi explains to Rorsius as the group move onwards to the Goblin "Male offspring are far more prized in Vudrani culture and some families can only afford one child, and they prefer that child to be a son"

The dancer gives a small shrug, seemingly unphased by delivering the news she was an abandoned child. It was just a fact of life to her, the only thing that caused her uncertainty and a little unhappiness was the fact her situation deprived her of a surname.

As the group arrives at the Golden Goblin she looks thoughtfully to the redheaded man "Are you here to gamble or instead to watch the flow of people and listen to their conversations?"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"It is the belief of my people that your role is determined at birth, the caste you are born into reflects your deeds in your previous incarnations" Rashmi explains calmly and certainly. "But perhaps now is neither the time nor the place to discuss such matters. I only wish I had a copy of the Vigrahin Patitraka with me, it explains far better than I can the notions of rebirth and the way one must live their life to move another step closer to Nirvana."

"Of course in some ways I do not fit well within this convention, none of the girls of the Baladata do. Girls are expensive to raise well enough to have a useful role in life, and even harder to raise well enough to earn a dowry and good husband. Roles in the lower castes are found for us, the unwanted female children who were not required" Throughout her explaination the young woman's tone barely changes, a gentle statement of fact.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

A faint blush settles in Rashmi's cheeks as the slight inconsistancy in her words is picked up upon. "I prefer to be polite and quiet, as I was taught to do. It is my lot in life and I am content with it" She starts, her slight embaressment quickly fading.

"I have, however, been travelling for a while and have learnt to speak my mind if it is needed. Of course with appropriate apologies afterwards for overstepping my bounds for speaking when it's undesired"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi bows her head gently, her movements polite and restrained. "You are free and bold enough to ask whatever you wish" She replies, her tone a little warmer

"Although I must admit that this is the first time anyone has felt the inclination to ask what I am thinking. At the baladata we were taught the merits of being seen and not heard. Unless spoken to of course" She starts to explain before smiling a little apologetically. "For what it is worth, more often than not if I am not sharing my thoughts then they are of little importance."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"Nothing of great importance, Rorsius" Rashmi assures the redheaded man with a smile. "I was just, thinking" She adds simply in a gentle tone.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

At seeing what appears to be mild embaressment on the elven man's face Rashmi offers Narnel a supportive smile, as glad to hear his opinions on the matter as she is to hear the others speak.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Gently smoothing out the soft fabric of her saree Rashmi listens carefully, her expression calm despite the storm of internal debate raging within her, sparked by the conversation at the table. Polite as ever her arguements supporting and opposing both men remain silent as her eyes slowly travel back and forth between Rorsius and Zareby.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi observes Rorsius closely for a moment, long enough to take in the details of his face and his expression but not so long as to be considered rude. Another gentle smile curls her lips as yet again she lets her thoughts remain unspoken.

Shifting her attention, her eyes come to fall on Zareby as he speaks. Folding her hands in her lap she listens intently to his outlook, her eyes betraying her curiousity as he mentions having not found something worth dying for, intrigued as to whether he's looking for that something.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"If you always look to the bloodfilled gutters you will never see the sun and the stars" Rashmi speaks up calmly "There is a lot of darkness in the world but to let it plague on your mind too much will cause you to be closed to the potential to experience moments of enlightenment."

She pauses, appearing to be in deep thought before speaking again. "But I apologise it is not my place to comment on your outlooks, we all follow our own paths and are just fortunate today that our paths all crossed at this point."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

With a silent bow of her head at the redheaded man's words Rashmi turns to face the others, again politely refraining from making any comment.

At the offer of a drink she shakes her head gently "I am fine, thank you" She deflects the question with a gentle smile, content just to listen to those around her and not be an unwelcome intrusion.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi bows her head a little to Rorsius, a faint smile on her lips. "A noble goal" She responds simply and politely, no hint of approval or disapproval in her tone.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi listens intently to the gnomes words, her expression difficult to read as she politely refrains from any comment. She does however clear her throat at Kratos' remark on interesting uses for Zareby's scarf. She doesn't seem embaressed by the topic, more finding it inappropriate as a topic for a first meeting.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi moves with consideration, hanging back to allow others to chose their seats before seating herself. She does pause however as Rorsius speaks, her gaze following his to the man at the bar. With a polite smile she inclines her hed in a bow of greeting to the watcher before returning her attention to the group. "We are a rather interesting looking group, you can't blame people for looking"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a genuine smile at the gnome's enthusiatic attitude. "It seems the table we'll need is growing quickly in size" She remarks lightly as she watches the other woman move around excitedly.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Clasping her hands together the dancer bows her head respectfully to the group. "My name is Rashmi"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Politley Rashmi takes a small calculated step back, giving the men space to speak and to introduce themselves to one another, despite her years away from home her upbringing shining through, it was not a woman's place to interfere in meetings such as these.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives another nod at Leux's words, happily moving to fall into step beside him. Gracefully she moves a hand, indicating to him to lead the way. Briefly she scans the crowd and pauses, her eyes meeting those of the intense man in the highcollared coat. With a polite smile she bows her head a little to him before returning her attention to her newfound friend, Leux.

She opens her mouth to speak as the elf approaches and quickly silences. With a shake of her head she takes his hand and closes it over his gold coin. "Keep it, I perform only to take part in, and share, an uplifting experience, not for money"

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Rashmi gives a small bow in return, her smile never leaving her face. "It would be most rude of me to decline such a gracious offer." She replies calmly. "I would love to hear whatever tales you have to share."

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

With a faint smile Rashmi closes her eyes and listens closely to the notes and the tempo, carefully analysing the music so different to that of her homeland before starting to move. A small sway at first, building to more and more dynamic movements, dance steps filled with the high energy and interesting stances typical of dances of far away Vudrani lands.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

Another warm smile grces Rashmi's face at the suggestion "Only if you play something I can dance to" She replies with a calm ease.

Female Human (Vudrani) Monk 1

"You certainly have a way with words Mr. Solielx, I'm sure you have a few tales of your own you could tell quite expertly" She compliments in a tone of quiet confidence "I am known simply as Rashmi" She introduces herself, only the faintest hint of sadness in her tone at having no family name to give.
