Rapzap was a character I had a concept for rattling around in my head for a few months anyways, but actually making them up gave them a lot more depth. If I make a kobold sewer druid like I'd been planning they'll have a lot more character to them. Or I might wait until the book for inventor comes out and make them a proper inventor.

Either way I need to get better about not misgendering them. Cause 'Gender didn't matter for the first 25 years o' my life, why should it matter now. I don't got time for handling all that hoobalo.'

Rapzap gives a small cheer as the last druegar runs away. "Good to see the tail end of them!" They then stand up and give a small woozy stuble for a second from the blood loss, but quickly get over to Elmer and pull out another of their antacid sprays. "Here, should get rid of that nasty acid!"

They give Argoni a grateful smile as the investigator shares their healing potions. "Near ready to faint there. This will help!"

At the celebration afterwards the little kobold partakes heavily of the meats offered and lightly of the drink, still not sure if it's better or worse than fermented sewer water. Less risk of it turning sour in the stomach, but significantly more bitter. After a moment of consideration, Rapzap decides to sign on with the Eagle Knights, figuring the group would give the lizard ample time to soup-up and finalize their bow along with plenty of other things to fix and improve.

Having them go off with the Eagle Knights isn't a bad way to end Rapzap's story.

Hrmm, I'm not sure that pregens get to roll for downtime.

Rapzap gives a grumble as more of their scales are burned away by splashes of acidy. They scramble around the mound some, hoping to become less of a target as they are starting to feel faint. The bright light shiloetting the two figures on the mound will help with making them easier to target. Or at least do so in theory.

‘Pew, pew, pew!’ Whin, longbow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Damage, B, Overdriven: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

‘Pew, pew, pew!’ Whin, longbow: 1d20 + 9 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 9 - 5 = 13
Damage, B, Overdriven: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

They prove to be an easier target than the kobold expected. Though the act of drawing Whin rapidly proves to be detrimental to his aim.

Targeting Green and then white if it is dead already.

Rapzap gives a look at the container in their hands and sighs, "Dammit, grabbed the rat attractor. Dang, looks like I'm catching dinner early today. Hrmm now where is that antacid spray?" They dig around in a small pouch at the waist and give and AHA pulling a can of similar size and shape as the first one. They seal up their nose holes and then spray it all over themselves liberally. Assisted Recovery, Flat check: 1d20 ⇒ 12

It doesn't quite seem to take the edge off the sting of the acid though.

Giving a small growl as their antacid doesn't seem to work, yet again, the kobold raises their humming bow, pulling back on the string and nocking an arrow. As they pull on the string, a small revving noise can be heard from the front of the bow.

‘Pew, pew, pew!’ Whin, longbow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Damage, B, OVERDRIVEN!: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Acid damage: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8
Flat check PLEASE 15+!: 1d20 ⇒ 17

Rapzap takes a small invention from their bag and sprays some liquid all over themselves. "Good thing I brought my antacids with me! These things are a life saver!"

Persistent damage flat check: 1d20 ⇒ 4 ARUGH

They then take a moment to pull a pullcord on their weapon, causing some sort of small engine or motor in it to start up with a small chug and making the whole bow hum with energy.

Overdrive check, DC 18: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 OOOH

Two actions for Assisted Recovery. (It's in the sidebar and very open ended on how/if it works.) One action to use over drive. They got a critical success so their strikes now 'deal additional damage equal to their Intelligence modifier for 1 minute.'

Persistent Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 5) = 11
Flat check: 1d20 ⇒ 3

The only reason Rapzap has survival at all is because of where I imagined them living before adventuring

Rapzap, having missed the druegar before gives a small jump in the dark when the voice in undercommon calls them out. They silently mock the voice and it's pompous sounding lexicon, before they scurry about behind the Dr. and Elmer. After a moment they spring forwards and out into the open, arrow notched and ready to fire. They take aim at the one enemy nearby and fire while commenting, "Aren't you unlawfully occupying these tunnels? Did you buy a permit for them? Do you have some claim to them?"

‘Pew, pew, pew!’ Whin, longbow: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Damage, B: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Rapzap looks at the floor and the moss with a bit of trepedation. "I grew up around moss, but never like this... Maybe if we tried to avoid it we could make it through here safely?" They pause as Argoni wraps their wounds from the acid. "OOOOOHHHH, that feels amazing! Thanks, Argoni. You using gobbo spit in this? Because it feels like it's working..."

They peer at the tunnels and wish deeply for not the 17th time this week that they were sewer tunnels.

Survival Aid: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
If they can use Sewer Lore instead of Underground lore this would be a 28 instead

Hero points were made for this. Also here be inventor as well. :)
As soon as they get a whiff of the smell, Rapzap shifts their eyes to Galvanus. "Rock, Pipe, Sewer Rat on who gets to handle this!" After a long minute of explaining the game and hand gestures involved, the kobold loses in a quick second. They grumble some and jealously hover over the shoulder of the doctor pointing out mistakes when they can.

... Though they miss more than a few themselves.

Pulling out a notebook that has definitely seen better days, and probably been in a swamp for a few hours from the looks of it, Rapzap flips it open with a small crinkling noise. They show it to the rest of the group, the black strokes of charcoal stark against the browned pages. "Here's my rough translation of the... wait this is a diagram for a turbine pump." They flip to the next page this with actual words and not just a rough sketch. "There we go. So this obviously draws heavily on that staple duergar text, Successful Methods for the Enslavement of Lesser Races but if you notice here, and here, and one more place here as I've underlined, they quotes are a bit different than normal. I'd probably guess that this it pointing at there being two hidden levers near the gate. Near 'a whip of metal' and under 'skulls of those who have resisted before.'"

They step over to the grate and points out a bit of chain on one side and a pile of rocks that might be called skulls in some light. "So there's this odd shaped rock next to this chain, and this 'skull' rock can move so I'm assuming that pushing one or both of these in some order will open the grate. Personally seems way more complicated than it needs be. A good grate that pops out if you push or pull is generally good enough..." They push a switch that appears under the 'skull' with one hand and the one near the chain with their tail, causing a whirring noise to start and the grate to slowly slide down into the ground. "There we go! Sounds like a basic winch system that hasn't been oiled in decades... Whoever built it does not maintain their equipment." The small kobold gives a huff of clear derision at the thought and the trundles down the hallway some.

Rapzap gives a small grin. "Being naked is always better! Clothing needs washing and can be restrictive. Also some good slime always feels best against the scales..." They cock their head in nostalgia for a second before turning back and refocusing on the conversation. "Maybe it has something to do with Whacko?"

Rapzap pops up from behind a rock and adds in, "Hmph, least you had your fancy AC and stats. Back in the tapestry, we had to describe what we were doing and hope everyone else played along. So much 'I'm king of the sewer!' 'No, I am.' 'No it's me!' Inevitably someone had to come and break it up."

Society, Dwarven and Undercommon: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 9 + 1 = 30

They give a heavy put upon sounding sigh and then notice everyone look at the runes. "Oh, you trying to translate that? I made one already. You wanna see?"

Rapzap will probably try to avoid notice. They would love to have the rare chance to target flat-footed from range.

Rapzap gives a small chuckle at most of their companions tumbling down the near hidden passage. "Gots to watch out for unexpected holes! 7th rule of living in the sewers! Should I take the lead? Cause we'd hate to have another bundle up like that!"

The little kobold then pulls out their small bundled longbow and with a flourish, unfolds it out into its shooting form. They also prep a quiver of arrows with flat round heads instead of the normal piercing ones.
Moment to unfold their weapon and then another action to activate Modular and make it Bludgeoning

Rapzap seems perfectly fine in the darkness, having lived in dark tunnels and sewers in their youth. They happily take the smaller tunnel rambling on about how nice it is to not have to watch out for rats or other brown things. "... Opp a bit slippery, but nowhere near as bad as that one moss/mold patch near the southern entrance used to be!"

Rapzap wanders around the camp, looking at the weapons and equipment that the camp residents have and offering advice on things that the camp might be able to do to improve their weapons. The kobold also asks if the knights had any advice on what kinds of weapons would be best against the 'druggers' that they were to hunt.

I take it Sewer Lore wouldn't work for a replacement of Underground Lore?

On the way to the Eagle knight camp, a small figure covered in a variety of moss small twigs and one large brach pops out of the bushes. They point a loaded longbow, well if the mess of wires, hinges, pulleys and metal alloys could be called a longbow, at the lead. "Bandits, eh? Ya can't have my inventions! WHIN, STRING OF THE TAPESTRY is mine! Mine, I tell you! Now leave me alo... Wait ya aren't bandits are ya?" They peer at the assembled group for a beat or two, recognizing that they seem to be more adventurers than bandits. Their glare lightens some as they release tension on the bow.
"Pathfinders? Sent by um Sproket? No... Uh Bucket... Wait it was Brackett, wasn't it? Sorry 'bout this. Not used to traveling, kinda first time to do so internationally. Don't do much in the tapestry. 'specially the sewers."

They eatricate themselves from the bushes with some snaps, crackles and a few curses in draconic, before approaching the group. The small figure starts to extend a hand for a moment before realizing that it's covered in mud for camouflage and quickly wiping I ton their barely cleaner clothes. With the mud gone their three clawed hand shines a bronze in whatever light is available. "Rapzap. Maker of weapons for people in the Hao Jin tapestry. Well when there was people still in it. Now I'm just a Pathfinder. Anyways looking forward to working with you!"They go around shaking hands with the enthusiasm of someone who's read about such things but has next to no practical experience. They do try keeping as much dirt off everyone. After introductions, and some appropriate cooing ogling of the mechanical cone, they whip out a completely clean towel and gently clean off, and oil their 'bow.' Along the front of it is engraved, WHIN, STRING OF THE TAPESTRY. The thing then slowly folds up along the hinges going from a near 3 foot tall weapon into a 6 in by 6 in cube. They the take the few arrows they had prepared, pull them apart at the center and then put the heads and fetching away in separate compartments in a quiver at their hips.

At the entrance to the camp, Rapzap gives a jump as the guard questions them, and has WHIN halfway put together before anyone can say 'Pathfinder.'

They listen to the briefing with one eye on the maps and Lieutenant, the other on anything that might be a threat outside. After a moment they raise their hand, seeming to think they need to be called on like in classes back at the Grand Lodge. "Saaa, we need to make sure none o' these, uh, druggers, get out of the caverns? Any suggestions on how we do so? Do we need to set up barriers? I can do barricades!"

Alright I have a profile for him up, but I need to give Rapzap his other equipment (he has his armor and weapon and that is it.)
