Thank you for your replies. Difficult terrain sounds right for movement. For those who have similar questions, my party has agreed to test the following for large creatures in confined areas.
My party is in the Abomination Vaults on level 8. The druid has a large wolf companion and the party encountered several large creatures. Questions arose during the fights. Is a normal size door difficult terrain for movement of large creature? Is a 5' wide corridor difficult terrain for movement or impossible to move through? When a large creature is fighting through a normal size doorway, does the large creature get a circumstance penalty? When a large creature is fighting in a 5' corridor does it get a circumstance penalty? Thank you.
Thanks for the replies. We are learning PF2e together, so as long as I am trying to sort things out, the group is fine with mistakes. Sustaining spells really hasn't come up to this point. The players are more oriented to kill it and kill it quickly, in every conceivable encounter. I hadn't realized concentrate is interpreted differently based on the spell. I'll pay more attention going forward. To Errenor, I agree wholeheartedly about casters needing to think ahead.
Hello, My AV group had a situation come up and I don't know the answer. A character cast Wall of Fire which has the concentration trait. My understanding of the rule is that the spell lasts until the casting character's next turn. (Cast turn 1, ends after turn 2.) If the character wants to sustain the spell into turn 3, he would have to expend an action during turn 2. In our case, another character wanted to run through the wall of fire and the caster wanted to drop concentration to permit him to do so without taking damage. Is dropping concentration an action, which would only be available on his next turn, or a free action that can be taken any time? Thank you.
Hello, Barcumbuk is a custom creature in AV's seventh level. He has and ability I don't know how to interpret. Furious Fusillade The erinys hovers in place if they are flying and fires one arrow at any number of creatures in a 30‑foot cone. Each attack is rolled separately. This counts as one attack for the purpose of the erinys’s multiple attack penalty. He doesn't have a missile attack that uses arrows and arrows by themselves have no attack and damage values. He has the ranged attak of a Flaming Light Hammer +19 / +15 / +11 (agile, evil, fire, magical, thrown 20 feet), Damage 1d6+6 bludgeoning plus 1d6 evil and 1d6 fire. My inclination is to read the stat block as Furious Fusillade using the Flaming Light Hammer attack. Is this correct? Is there better option? Thank you. |
