About Ramiere Skyforger
Ramiere Skyforger is a commanding officer in the Church of Heironeous's army. As an Ordained Champion, he places a greater emphasis on combat effectiveness and battle tactics. While other clerics are assigned to feed the poor, tend the sick, and other worthwhile charities, Ramiere is the kind of cleric who patrols the lands, keeping order, and smiting evil in his wake. Often described as being "like a Paladin without a sense of humor", Ramiere has very little tolerance for horseplay and disobedience. Make no mistake though, no matter how mean or unforgiving he tends to act, he is always on the side of good.
As an Ordained Champion of his church, he takes his role very, very seriously. Threats to the church are often dealt with swiftly and effectively. Ramiere is often compared to paladins in his zealousness and determination, but he feels there is a huge difference in his role than a paladin;
"Paladins are much more spiritual, more theoretical. They put more emphasis on good for good's sake, and improving themselves as people. My methods are precise, trained, and field tested. My path of spirituality found it's goal a long time ago. I have no misgivings about my faith. My sword is a direct extension of my faith in Heironeous, and the power I wield in battle is proof of his faith in me."
He gives leeway to all who cross his path, until they are deemed a threat and disposed of. Even his superior officers feel he is a little too "rough around the edges". He has been dispatched alongside a fellow paladin of the church to The World's Largest Dungeon, with a dual purpose; investigate the dungeon for threats to the order, and integrate with other adventurers to gain a better tolerance and understanding of other people.
