![]() Has any consideration been given to selling the various t-shirt graphics as transfers (iron on or otherwise), so that the people who want colors other than black can put it on a colored tee of their choosing? If this is feasible, it may be a way for both Paizo and the non-black tee wearing minority to have their cookies and eat them too! ![]()

It is almost impossible to find ANY rpg books (except WotC product) available for order on the Borders website. The bricks-and-mortar store locations will carry RPG books that will not show up on the website; Pathfinder, Shadowrun and Eclipse Phase come to mind immediately as things I've seen at my local Borders but are not listed on their website. I imagine it may be a function of the distribution sources used for the website versus the sources used for bricks and mortar inventory.
EDIT: I just looked and it does look like there is Pathfinder product listed on their website now, although I still can't find Shadowrun or Eclipse Phase. ![]()

![]() FWIW, I used to pre-order some RPG books from Amazon, and while they offer great prices, they are notorious for not having the books available for sale, or shipping the books, until weeks after the books started to show up in my local bookstores. I've always bought Paizo products directly from them and have taken to usually buying other RPG products from sources other than Amazon, preferably as directly from the publisher as possible. ![]() About 12 years ago, I found a RPG group of 3 or 4 guys through some website and joined them for a few months. Keep in mind these guys were all in their mid-20s to early-30s There was one guy whom all the others whom all the others constantly teased/ragged on for just about anything: he played the 'wrong' cards in M:tG, he picked the 'wrong' name for his ranger, he 'always' played a dumb fighter, etc. And most of the time these weren't friendly jibes but mean-spirited. Granted, this guy wasn't the brightest bulb, but these guys were supposedly his friends. There was one guy who usually did the DM/GMing. As a DM/GM he was pretty decent but as a player...ugh. As a player, he always insisted on getting preferential treatment; higher level, better/more equipment, etc. If he didn't get this treatment he would get sulky and throw little passive-aggressive tantrums. I was desperate for some gaming, so I stuck with them for a few months, but while there were a couple good moments (there was a great Cyberpunk game that ran 2 or 3 sessions; I still remember everything about my character from that one) I finally just couldn't be bothered to drive an hour each way to the group for what was usually average gaming-seasoned with lots of uncomfortable, childish behavior. I guess I was spoiled by having 2 great long-running gaming groups back-to-back when I was active duty Air Force. Since I got out I haven't found a good group to play with - the games either disintegrate within a half dozen session due to schedules or the other players just aren't a good fit. sigh. ![]()

![]() Working in retail, I get to listen to Christmas/holiday music all day, every day. Starting before Halloween this year. As you may guess, I have built up huge stockpiles of hatred for almost all holiday tunes, although some garner special levels of disdain. Bob Dylan singing like a Muppet and Andrea Bocelli's overly bombastic delivery are the special tortures so far this year. ![]()

![]() Hi, I don't know if I missed an option, if it happened for a reason, or if there is a bug in the code, so I thought I'd bring it up. I just placed an order (#1208811) and for the shipping option I chose to ship with the next subscription shipment which would be #1269785. Now normally my subscriptions ship UPS, but now the combined orders have changed to USPS. I don't remember changing the shipping method or being asked to change the method but perhaps there is a reason it did this. I am not upset about this nor necessarily seeking to change the method for this shipment but I thought I'd bring it up in case there is a bug in the code to combine shipments. Thanks, and have a great day!

I've worked at a Borders and can say that not every store location carries the same items or the same quantity of an item. What and how much is carried at any specific store is determined by the Home Office in Ann Arbor, MI. Individual stores have very, very little say in what items they carry excepting some items for the Local Interest section and even those are being increasingly restricted. So, it is very possible that the Core Rulebook is only available as a special order at that Borders location if Ann Arbor has determined that that location won't carry it in the store. FWIW, the location where I have worked just received one copy of the Core Rulebook and its RPG section normally only carries WotC and White Wolf's nWoD books with almost no exceptions. ![]()

I would say that 95% of the gaming materials I own (and boy do I have a lot) have never been used in and of themselves, but as brainfood and sources to steal ideas from. Let me just say...most of the sourcebooks and such that I acquired over the years I've only just skimmed through or read specific bits that interested me (for D&D 2Ed, 3rd, 3.5 and many many many other systems). But every Paizo book and module I've bought, I've read cover-to-cover...it is all just that good! ![]()

![]() Hi there Cosmo, I wanted to let you know I too received a double shipment of Dark Markets and Pathfinder #21. My order # was 1159928. I hope this might help you track down where the snafu took place, so it doesn't happen in the future. I mean, I love a good 2 for 1 deal as much as anybody else, but I'm sure it cuts into your profits, and that is a "bad thing" for my favorite RPG publisher. -Roger ![]()

If you can find them on the WotC boards, there was a series of articles in 2006 by Ed Greenwood that gave overviews and hooks for various kingdoms and areas of an region called the Border Kingdoms. There were hooks and background galore for this area, and I believe that it was posted on the WotC site because it was cut from printed sourcebooks due to space, so most people shouldn't be too familiar with the area, so you could tinker away without upsetting the overall Realms too much. ![]()

![]() In past games I have changed the terminology from Law to Order. I tell the players that it indicates an adherence to Orderly behavior which can include adherence to local laws and such but is more likely to indicate how they approach situations; orderly, step-by-step, lots of planning and lists, etc etc as opposed to the Chaotic character who jumps into things and flies by the seat of his/her pants. I also like to compare Good/Evil to SelfLESSness and SelfISHness. Good people will suffer, sacrifice and otherwise act in a manner to ensure that others will benefit, while Evil characters will cause suffering, steal/take and act in a manner to ensure that they will benefit. [I also liked the idea of alignment scores as proposed in Green Ronin's Advanced Player's Guide (or maybe the Adv DM Guide) so that players can indicate how strongly they adhere to their ideals (Order/Chaos, Good/Evil)] ![]()

Personally I think the best d20-related superheroes system is Mutants and Masterminds aka M&M published by Green Ronin. It is based off of the d20 mechanic but is very streamlined and is not class-based, but point-based. I kinda think of it as a beautiful hybrid of d20 and Hero/Champions. Before M&M I liked Champions which uses the Hero system. It is very customizable but also very math intensive. I haven't used the new 5th edition Heroes rules, so I can't attest to if anything has changed since I played it with either 3rd of 4th edition. I also played in a very enjoyable DC Heroes games, but that was mostly the GM's doing, the system itself was OK but I had some minor problems with it. ![]()

![]() I am looking mature(personality-wise, not necessarily age-wise) group to join for a semi-regular gaming. I'd like to play once or twice a month, maybe more often on occasion, but I don't want to tie up ALL my free time with gaming (I do have other interests, and I'm the wife does want me around sometimes). I'd prefer to stay within a half-hour or so driving distance from home. It has been years since I've been involved with a stable, long-running group and I am really missing being in a good, fun game. I am open to most systems but I enjoy 3.5, Mutants & Masterminds and Traveller (I have T20 avail, most of my other Traveller versions are packed away). I wouldn't mind World of Darkness (I have most of the nWoD core books avail) as long as it isn't too teenage-y angst-y. I currently am not able to host any game sessions (small house, with a bunch of repairs needed - making it effectively even smaller). Any interest, please post here and then we'll see if we want to set up a meeting. ![]()
