Known as Truthsayer in his tribe. He is unable to tell a lie. This was seen as a curse to his people but he never saw it as this. Poog’s parents, Poog and Poog, met during a great adventure. Poog’s village suffered many losses over the years after this and the licktoads were finally wiped out by an attack from a clergy of Iomedae. Poog was spared, gathered up some items from around the home, and was raised by this cleric. Poog came to Absalom to join the Pathfinder Society. But instead found the Harbor Guard on his way to the Lodge. The Harbor Guard provided no feeling of satisfaction for the voice he thinks is Iomedae in his head. Eventually, he was found by the Edgewatch and transferred there. He looks forward to doing Iomedae proud.
Flaws and role playing ideas: Has many family members who have died in creative ways and he references them often. He is twitchy and always alert but not at all observant. Possibly because he licks too many toads. He is always striving to be a good champion, but is only an adult by goblin standards and lacks maturity in a lot of ways. Poog’s parents were both clerics of evil deities and his entire village would reject him for this path he’s on. But Poog feels like a goblin needs to follow the path in front of him. He prefers to only eat pickled items and usually has a decent amount of pickled rations on him and pickled food getting ready at home. He stands tall, even if he is not. He is proud of the man he has become and knows that he is special since he speaks directly to Iomedae, even if nobody believes him.
Appearance: Poog has a kind face and a warm smile for a goblin. It’s highly unexpected. He wears a white tunic with a gold trim over his armor. Sewn into the tunic is a dried toad (Dogfinder II), to represent his tribe. He also has a necklace of teeth from monsters that he’s killed. Only one tooth so far but he will add more during his adventures. His lucky toad, Dogfinder III, can usually be found on his head or shoulder but often keeps him in his pouch on patrol.
Catch phrases:
“Her Ladyship.”
“How does the day greet you?”
“Balls.”
