DRUID ABILITIES:
Nature Bond: At 1st level, a druid forms a bond with nature. This is a close tie to the natural world, granting the druid one of the following cleric domains: Air, Animal, Earth, Fire, Plant, Water, or Weather. (A blight druid may select from the Darkness, Death, and Destruction domains in addition to those normally available.) When determining the powers and bonus spells granted by this domain, the druid's effective cleric level is equal to her druid level. A druid that selects this option also receives additional domain spell slots, just like a cleric. She must prepare the spell from her domain in this slot and this spell cannot be used to cast a spell spontaneously.NIGHT (subdomain of Darkness) Nature Sense (Ex):A druid gains a +2 bonus on Knowledge (nature) and Survival checks. Vermin Empathy (Ex):A blight druid can improve the attitude of vermin as a normal druid can with animals. This ability functions just like a Diplomacy check made to improve the attitude of a person. The druid rolls 1d20 and adds her druid level and her Charisma modifier to determine the wild empathy check result. The blight druid can also improve the attitude of animals and mindless undead creatures that were formerly animals, but she takes a –4 penalty on the check unless the animal or undead has a disease special attack. Vermin have a starting attitude of unfriendly. The typical domestic animal has a starting attitude of indifferent, while wild animals are usually unfriendly. To use vermin empathy, the druid and the vermin must be able to study each other, which means that they must be within 30 feet of one another under normal conditions. Generally, influencing vermin in this way takes 1 minute but, as with influencing people, it might take more or less time. NIGHT SUBDOMAIN:
Night Hunter (Su):As a standard action, you can blend into the shadows of the night, becoming nearly invisible. As long as you are in an area of dim light or darkness, you are invisible (as per invisibility) to creatures without darkvision. This ability lasts for a number of rounds equal to 1/2 your cleric level (minimum 1). You can use this ability for a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier. Bonus Feat: Blind-Fight Domain Spells:
GNOME ABILITIES:
Keen Senses: Gnomes receive a +2 racial bonus on Perception checks..
Fell Magic: Gnomes add +1 to the DC of any saving throws against necromancy spells that they cast. Gnomes with Wisdom scores of 11 or higher also gain the following spell-like abilities: 1/day—bleed, chill touch, detect poison, and touch of fatigue. The caster level for these effects is equal to the gnome's level. The DC for these spells is equal to 10 + the spell's level + the gnome's Wisdom modifier. Knack with Poison: Some gnomes have an instinctive understanding of poisons and their uses. Gnomes gain a +2 racial bonus on Fortitude saves against poison and a +2 bonus on Craft (alchemy) checks to make poison. The bonus on Fortitude saving throws against poisons increases to +4 if the gnome accidentally poisons himself when applying or readying the substance. Bond to the Land: Some gnomes have strong ties to specific kinds of terrain, as a holdover from their fey origins. These gnomes gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC when in a specific terrain type selected from the ranger list of favored terrains. This choice is made at character creation, and cannot be changed. (Forest) TRAITS & FEATS:
Blind-Fight: You are skilled at attacking opponents that you cannot clearly perceive.
Desecration: You have violated one of the churches, cathedrals or holy shrines of the great god Mitra. To be sent to Branderscar this was no minor act of vandalism. Instead you have done something flagrant and spectacular to dishonor the Shining Lord.
Dodge:Your training and reflexes allow you to react swiftly to avoid an opponents' attacks.
Naturally Gifted:For unknown reasons, you have deeper reserves of magical energy than those around you. Perhaps you are descended from a family of powerful arcane casters, or maybe you believe this trait marks you as destined for magical greatness.
BACKGROUND:
Blackfern Gully had been idyllic once. A dank forest with a high canopy to block out the sun, tangled thorny underbrush, and plenty of fallen rotting trees. Poki had lived there for the last forty years at least, and it had been an earthly paradise where she could commune with all her friends -- rats and ants and scorpions, and especially spiders -- and harvest the poisons she used to hunt and play pranks on stupid interlopers. A poisoned poacher could provide amusement for weeks as she watched his respiratory system shut down, his skin change through a rainbow of colors, until at last friendly maggots and beetles emerged from his flesh. Hilarious!
But then the Mitrans came and brought the light to the forest. They cleared out trees and brush, and built a gleaming new church in what had been one of Poki's favorite briars -- they called it some kind of 'holy site'. Well all Poki new was that she was 'wholly' upset. So first she called the termites and carpenter ants into the walls. She coaxed the bats down from the belfry and the rats in from the fields several times a day. But her favorite was when the spider swarm boiled up from the holy font in the middle of service -- in the ensuing panic several weakened walls collapsed and she was able to pepper the fleeing crowd with blue winnis. It would have been even more fun if she hadn't been laughing so hard that they captured her. They called what Poki did desecration. Which was funny, because that's what she called it too -- when they'd built the church. But they didn't laugh when she told them that. Stupid big Mitrans have no sense of humor. DESCRIPTION:
At 3'6", Poki is a toweringly tall gnome with bright pink eyes and a wide friendly smile full of needle-sharp teeth. She sits wearing a clean, white dress brooding upon the indignities visited upon her. Her freshly-scrubbed skin is an adorable robin's egg blue, and her shoulder length bright pink hair is neatly braided. Which is to say, not only did they bathe her for the first time in several decades, but they also trimmed the mats out of her hair. They even took her lice! Combat Header:
