History:

Philip Esterhase was born in 1944, a second-generation American. His life went the opposite direction of the majority of his fellow baby-boomers: He enlisted in the Air Force voluntarily, learned Russian, got his degree in International Relations, and went to work for the FBI as a counter-intelligence agent. On the cusp of retirement, in 2008, he was embraced by an Invictus in Northern Virginia, who wanted to use his expertise and contacts in the Bureau. His sire kept him as a childe for 30 years – Phillip was just an asset to him. When Phillip’s sire finally released him, the world had changed so drastically that most of Phillip’s assets in the breathing world were dead or retired. To “give him a fresh start” (and get him far away when the inevitable resentment set in), Phillip’s sire detailed two ghouls to take Phillip to Pendros, where the local Invictus was in a mess, anyway. That was six months ago. The ghouls have left and Phillip has used the time to begin to get a sense of where he has landed.

Description:

Phillip appears to be a man on the edge of old age – his hair is ashen gray and his face had just begun to sag into age lines. He wears tasteful, if unremarkable, suits and carries a pair of reading glasses with him. In inclement weather, he wears a Mackintosh raincoat that appears clean, but old. He carries a briefcase with papers and a small pistol. His only real nod to the era he lives in is the smartphone he carries, which is a relatively high-end model. He currently presents himself as a private investigator, complete with business cards and a UPS-Store street address.
Motivation – Honor and Duty
