![]() How fluent do I have to be in my speaking of English?
Will it be a one-time thing or a periodically recurring character?
In order to properly portray this character and in general act according to the setting mood etc, should I read up on the particulars of the war effort on Jerico Reach (I think Deathwatch takes place in that region) or the agenda of each of the two Chapters involved (Storm Wardens, Dark Hunters) and/or Deathwatch?
Are there any specific requirements or a certain "line" that has to be followed, during this council, in order to influence or not influence the decision of the players?
PM me your Skype name and I'd be happy to talk with you more there. I'm gaming tonight, but I'm on most evenings. ![]()
![]() Yea the idea is to get Skype up on my TV as both Captains will be communicating with the players across vids. I've roped my wife into playing an Inquisitor. I would really love to say that you could pick up Warhammer 40K on the fly, but really when I tell you the planet is under siege by Tyranids and that The Emperor's Children have been found to be in operation in the area, there's a lot there that needs explaining. And even with the best research, you're likely to have to stop the play and say "what's that" more than once. I'm always happy to have newby players, but I wouldn't start them with Deathwatch. That's the proverbial 'deep end'. I'd start new players up with feral or feudal world characters, so their characters don't know too much more about the universe than they do. Thanks for the interest though, I appreciate it. If I have a slot for a character that is accessible without a year's experience, I'll PM you. ![]()
![]() So I want to run a scene for my RL game where there are a lot of NPCs discussing what to do about a particular threat. It would be great if I could get people over Skype. Anyone up for it? Basically I'm looking for someone to play:
The game is currently scheduled for Wednesday 22nd of April. The Scene should be at about 9pm GMT. ![]()

![]() By the rules if you are crew of a vehicle, you can use all the weapons on that vehicle. So you can use the lascannons, unless the GM doesn't want to play by that rule. Why would you not want your armour? Crazy head!! Rassaphore Cadby doesn't have Weapon Training(las) because Rassaphore Cadby's player chose Weapon Training(Solid Projectile) over it, even though Rassaphore Cadby was issued with a laspistol and nominated to put himself in a vehicle with a twinlinked las-weapon. If I was running this game a Major plot point would be how this tech priest got the position he did. I suspect HERESY! Don't throw away your combi-tool. Give it to someone in a Tauros without an operator or a tech priest. We all start with tech use, we could all use it. My character already has an Auspex, so I don't need it, but if we want a functioning medic my character could take up the mantle if we trade the spare auspex for a medi-kit. With GM permission, of course! I've taken medicae anyway. @Rassaphore - Are you running off the old Beta playtest document by any chance? ![]()
![]() How about (From the 40K Wiki) Magnos Omicron (Forge World) - An Adeptus Mechanicus Forge World that continues to supply the Imperium with much-needed armoured vehicles and weapons, thus allowing this world to avoid much of the spiral of decay that has affected the majority of the Trail of Saint Evisser. Which would make our Regiment the 108th Omicron Rapid Assault. What do people think? ![]()
![]() @Mokshai - When you are the crew of a vehicle you are assumed to have weapon training of all the weapons on that vehicle. Both Heavy Flamer and Grenade Launcher options are open to you. @BayouSnowman - The Venator has the same stats as the standard vehicle on my profile except it either has a twin linked lascannon or a multi-laser turrett and 2 forward facing hunter killer missiles controlled by the driver.
What planet are we from. Does anyone mind if I just pick one? I'd like to see if there's a forge world near Elysia (in segmentum solar) ![]()
![]() My alias is up:
@Mokshai - You can switch out the Grenade Launcher for a Heavy Flamer, but what I have is basically all you need for a Tauros I don't have my background done, that will have to wait until tomorrow ![]()
![]() I'll put the Stats for a Tauros in my alias when I'm done. Probably tonight. You can copy paste it from there. If you're playing a Commissar, please can you play this guy:

![]() @Samsun - Here are the steps:
I don't have the rulebook here with me so I can't give you page numbers ![]()
![]() I was going to bring that up. Every PC gets their own vehicle. If we go for the Venator can we just say our comrades are in beside us, or will you want to put them in another Tauros. If mine's in beside me can I eventually get him a pintel mounted weapon, so I can use him to fire it? Obviously I won't want this from the start. Also also how are we playing Iconoclasts? Are we followers of the machine cult? ![]()

Crunch Done. I've taken Medicae because we don't have a medic. Perhaps I can nab a medi-kit from somewhere. If that changes I'll trade it out. I'll put it all together with background in an alias tomorrow ![]()
