Petyr is a jovial man who loves life, strong drink, and companionship. He is continually upbeat even in the face of sorrow. It’s not so much that he reveres Cayden Cailean as it is that they’re a perfect match temperament-wise.
Always a popular figure in roadside inns and taverns due to his proclivity for tales of his travels and derring-do (only slightly embellished...most of the time), Petyr’s never managed to set down roots in any one place before travel lust overwhelms him and he moves on.
During his many wanderings around the Inner Sea, Petyr found a scholar traveling alone, beset by a small group of bandits. Courage runs deep in Petyr, and he did not hesitate to bring his magic and stout staff to the fray, driving off the bandits and healing a deep wound in Professor Lorrimor’s side. The professor was effusive in his praise, and the two of them travelled for a short time together. Petyr continued on his way, happy to have helped. He promptly forgot about Lorrimor’s promise of repayment, and the summons in the will took him completely by surprise. Nevertheless, it was an excuse to head out on the road again.
A rotund man with a full beard, bald pate, and perpetual jovial smile, Petyr dresses in simple robes with a rope for a belt. Dangling from the rope are several tankards, mugs, and flasks. Well-worn sandals complete the ensemble.
