Background:
"Petry" Wintrish was the unfortunate only son born the fifth child of a moderate jeweler and goldsmithing family in Westcrown. Because his mother's father, a minor but ambitious Chelaxian house lord, had no male grandchildren by any other children, attempts were made to bring Petronicus immediately under the rule of the minor house. The Wintrish family was forced to flee from Westcrown to Corentyn, fighting off kidnappers and an infernal imp. More attempts were made years later, convincing Petry to travel beyond his grandfather's influence forever. Petry also had trouble hiding the strange powers he had begun growing in his late teens, causing his eyes to glow at night and to call things to his hand by merely thinking about them. Afraid of his possible infernal heritage, Petry does his best to hide these abilities, and merely wishes to be a jeweler like his gentle father. Petry's hobby is making intricate maps, and he has trained in mapmaking, leading to his decision to flee to the Expanse.

Petry is obviously Chelaxian, with black hair, pale white skin, and brown eyes. He dresses his average frame in middle-class merchant's clothing, with boots, pants, shirt, and vest. Petry favors bright colors to accentuate his black hair. Although nervous, Petry changes his demeanor in an instant with a ready smile and sparkling eyes. He openly wears his family crest ring because he hasn't learned to hide it yet. Knowledge: Nobility
