A short sword wouldn't translate to wakazashi because the two are completely different weapons. Am I the only person that was bothered by that part?

Good read though, especially since I'm moving out there in a couple of months. Hopefully, it's become a bit more popular since 2010.

Hey, guys. Sorry, I haven't shared anything about this character yet. He is Aevrim, an Urban Barbarian/ Phalanx Fighter/ Freebooter Ranger. Going to be more of a mid/front liner.
I'm currently working on his gear. I don't want to use group funds yet until I see how this character works in game so I can get a feel for what he needs.

So Kardes is still undecided on his latest feat. I was thinking sorcerous strike (adding d6+# of fire dmg to an unarmed attack), but would working on a magical weapon be more beneficial later down the road? That would allow a different feat, but not quite sure what to take if I don't get sorcerous strike. Kardes is definitely gearing more towards a melee caster.
Any ideas are appreciated.

You can't multi-prestige.

The better quesiton is why did he bother with Phalanx Fighter... and then use a sword. That archtypes is deisnged to use a shield and a two handed polearm (wielded one handed).

If the character isn't level 3 he can't use a polearm one handed yet.
