Background/Description:
Sir Ian Pembleton is a portly, bespectacled white-haired man of crisp dress and well-kept appearance. Invariably sporting a bowler hat and a thick, bushy moustache, Pembleton appears as something of a bumbling elder statesman. Very much a tip-of-the-hat, wag-of-the-finger fellow, he is charming, gentlemanly and polite.
With his brilliant if eccentric mind, military legacy and undying love for Queen and country, Pembleton was an easy recruit for the Watchmen. Having ended a military career within the Corps of Royal Engineers with the rank of Major (ret.) after exactly forty-eight years to the day, Pembleton lost his wife of the same number of years on that same day. Once one of England’s most honoured soldiers, Pembleton turned his mind almost exclusively to his inventions and machines, including his clockwork dog Palamedes and his bizarre weapon, "Sir Pembleton's Rail Gun".
