About Pekoe the Crafty

Background:

Pekoe has always enjoyed the simpler things in life, but she recognizes that not everyone can even manage to afford the basics. Always the good Samaritan, she does her best to give a hand to the folks who are maybe in a spot of bad luck in these hard times. Pekoe firmly believes that helping the community from the bottom up is going to improve the community as a whole; we're only as strong as the weakest link, of course!

Now what really ruffles her feathers is when some uppity fellow on his big horse dressed all fancy comes by procure payment for this that or the other thing from these people who clearly cannot meet his ludicrous demands. So what does Pekoe do about this? Well, she figures it's time to level the playing field just a touch. He's not going to miss that fat purse anyways, and that family dressed in rags over there could probably put the coin to better use than Mister Rich-and-Snotty ever could.

Of course, pulling the Robin Hood stint has never gotten anyone on the good side of the law, and as Pekoe found out first hand the rational of "Well he's a big bully!" does not stand up in trail. It's all politics, she figures. She's probably right. Having accumulated one too many warrants for her arrest, with charges ranging from theft to vandalism to breaking out of prison, she opted to skip town and go and see what good she could do on a global scale.

Since leaving home, Pekoe has brought down her fair share of street gangs, cults of this that or the other maniacal evil deity, and publicly exposed a few dirty politicians and their noble lackies. Most of her evidence she managed to gather in these political cases came from people's garbage bins, but she prefers not to talk about all that. The life of a vigilante is hardly ever glamorous.

Not everything is all doom and gloom though! Pekoe's also left a trail of charitable organizations in her wake. Some started by the local folks who were inspired by her ideals, others because she kick started the projects herself. Last town she left was talking about converting a manor seized from a corrupt Baron into a soup kitchen for the hungry and naming it in her honor.

Appearance:

Short, well fed, and very compact; Pekoe is perfect for cramming herself into small spaces or hiding behind even the shortest of cover. Unnaturally fluffy white hair flops too and fro at every movement with bangs cut to hide the small nubs of horn that sprouted from her forehead. But what she can't hide is a long tail that swings back and forth behind her, often giving away clues to her inner feelings depending on just how she wags it. She stands tall at a grand 3', but will occasionally sneak in some tiptoes to give her an extra inch when anyone's measuring.
