Perception - 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Since one way is as good as another at this point, I see no reason not to seek some sort of divine guidance.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum again fires an acid dart at the skeleton at G3.

1d20+1=7, 1d6=3

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Plodding along, lost in thought, Patrum is slow to respond to the impending danger Initiative (1d20+2=3).

He fires an acid dart at the skeleton at G3.

To hit;damage (1d20+1=4, 1d6=5)

Ignore the second set of rolls. I messed up and clicked to roll twice

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum takes his vials and places them in his backpack. He makes his way towards the rear of the group, but makes sure not to be the last.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum quickly makes his way towards the bar and awaits his turn to enter the trapdoor. He turns toward Janiven.

Thank you for your hospitality lass. Don't tarry long, no reason to get yourself killed just to save us.

With that he begins to climb down.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum jumps up from his chair.

We must think logically. Are we prepared for ten Hellknights? It may be better to find an alternate route from this place. If there is none, we must do our best to send them to pits they so admire.

Patrum walks to the corner of the room farthest from the front door and waits for an answer from the innkeeper.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

I fear my objectives are not as altruistic as yours, but I must find my friends, or avenge their deaths. The ways of this city have become objectionable as well, so I feel this is the best way to achieve my goals as well as provide some help to put things right. Count me in.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum takes several pieces of meat and begind to eat loudly, not paying any mind to the looks his manners might garner.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Let's not be too hasty friend. Let the newcomer explain his presence before we decide how to proceed.

To Malcom

I find it hard to believe you wandered into this particular tavern by accident this night. I suggest an explanation as our friend there seems quite on edge.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

That is a shame about the Elvish community lass. I have other non-mercantile pursuits in Cheliax, so I believe this is where I'll stay, for the time being at least.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum takes a mug of ale.

Thanks lass. I prefer my ale warm, I don't see why it should be served any other way.

He then turns to Sevegny.

I arrived in the city with some friends from Absalom, and we set up shop. They have all disappeared either at night, probably taken by whatever it is that lurks in the shadows, or taken by the guards during the day. I can no longer stand by and watch the city sink further into darkness. It's bad for business.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum takes a seat near the others.

The name is Patrum. I look forward to working with you all and hopefully discovering the truth of what happened to my friends.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum arrives at the tavern and notices it seems to be closed, but as he rounded the corner he saw a group beckoned in by a woman.

Well, this must be the place. At least we'll be alone and not have to worry about eavesdroppers.

He makes his way to the door and enters.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum stands up from his seat in the tavern and makes his way out the door. Outside he looks around for a moment to get his bearings and turns toward Visio's.

Let's go ahead and jump forward to the tavern.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Added tactics in profile.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum ponders the statement for a few moments.

This sounds like an interesting idea. It may help me discover the fate of my friends and I could sure use some direction right now. I look forward to bringing some order back to the city. When and where do you next meet?

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum speaks in a hushed tone.

Sorry for the rough treatment lass, but I've been out of sorts since the last one disappeared. Tell me more about this group. It sounds like our current goals are in alignment.

Patrum glances around to make sure no one is listening and returns his attention to the young woman.

My name is Patrum Blakkhamer. What is yours?

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Patrum eyes the woman suspiciously for a moment. After her a moment he answers her in his usual gruff manner.

Young lady, you shouldn't make such allegations. Especially in places where people can here. We should move to that table in the corner. An please keep your voice down.

Patrum grabs her hand and prcatically drags her to the table. He is hopeful that she is telling the truth, but suspicious as he doesn't want to disappear the way his friends did.

Patrum, you can select one more language as your int. modifier is +3, so you have 5 languages total (Common, Dwarven, Taldane, Chelaxian and another).

Also, I've calculated gold to be 1 gp less than what you have (i.e. I got 5 gp instead of 6 gp). I've double-checked and got 5 each...

Alright, I have included my spell list marking which spells are memorized, and updated my languages and gp. I'm not sure how, but I had put additional languages on my character sheet at home, but didn;t transfer the information. I added Draconic and Orc. (Taldane is common)

Also, in regard to how my character spends his mornings. He has spent the last couple of weeks wandering the city in the morning looking for his missing business associates. He can be found at various taverns and markets, but doesn't stay long at any of them.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Character is posted. I haven't put in background or appearance, but will get that up today. Hope you don't mind Kyras, but I copied your format. It seemed a good way to organize.

Male Dwarf Wizard 1

Is it ok to use the Militant Merchant trait for Echoes of Taldor? It is a dwarf specific trait that gives a +1 to perception checks to determine surprise, and makes perception a class skill.
