Oursen is fiercely loyal to Rupert. Alert during the day but tends to be lazy at night and hates taking watch. Playful but has a quick temper. During combat, he enjoys the looks on his enemies faces after. he stands on his hind legs.

Oursen is a lumbering and impression companion with a rune of a sickle on his forehead. Rupert believes this symbol represents that he was a gift from nature.

As Rupert was on his way to Wati, he had avoided many encounters with dangerous beasts. One such time attracted the attention of the bear. He started following Rupert as the gnome intrigued him. But, luck was not on Rupert's side one day as a pack of wolves came upon him and. surrounded him. Just then, a light. flashed from Oursen's forehead and the. light. was pointing in Rupert's direction. They fought off the pack of wolves together and have been inseparable ever since.
