@ Xabulba Does a warlock's power defile as the power comes from an outside source and not Athas? @ Glod I would think that the vestige pact would be perfet for DS as the deities that were on Athas are rumored to be dead or left, so to me it would fit. Though it is Xabulba's decision (and as he stated above, e.i. it isn't out yet) so who knows. :)
Well not me specifically but a warlock in general. I know that the DS book has a variation of their own pact (the sorcerer-king pact) butI would like to play one as I haven't gotten a chance to play one in a while. I would have suggested infernal pact but not sure how well that would work. p.s. I just remembered that it is a vestige pact... haha
Xabulba, what do you think of me playing a warlock? Like maybe Fey or even vestigial (or whatever the word is) pact?
I thought it said in the DS handbook that halflings were no longer cannibals, but I could be wrong. I remember that from 2nd edition and novels but someone told me they weren't cannibals and I was bummed. Anywho, are there any classes (besides divine) that you do not allow Xabulba? I am thinking of a half elf sorcerer, either storm or chaos. If there are a lot of arcane users, then I will go with a battlemind.
Are there any openings? I would love to play Darksun (having read a bunch of thier novels) and am no longer in a PbP.

"Krovok, right now I am more concerened with how Mevitari is doing . I will face the conciquences of my actions when he is back on his feet, but Lamander is correct. It was self defence, though the deck may be stacked against me (so to speak)," Ostran relates the tale of the ambush to Krovok.
"We were coming back here from the races with Mevitari and the rest of the children when he collapsed. Mevitari started bleeding from his nose so Lamander and I took him to the temple dedicated to the Enlightened Havvakhad.
"Lam, watch over them," Ostran says with a smile.
*sighs* "You guys go. Seeing as some people may be looking for me, I should be as far from potential trouble as possible," Ostran says sternly.
"Just a thought but who is going to stay here and watch the kids?"
"Lam and I took Mevitari to the temple that we were watching the race at. I thought that would be better as the monks there knew him and might know more as his affliction seemed to be more mental rather than physical, but just in case we tracked down a House J healer and asked her to go over Mevitari."
I, for one, have gotten in enough fights for one day.... I mean, let's go.
Cogmin, I think this would be good for us. Something to take our minds off what happened, and besides, this way we can earn some money to help Mevitari keep this place going.
"I am going to the House Jarasco enclave tomorrow to try to find out more on how Mevitari is doing", Ostran says wearly. "Shall we examine our findings?"
"I agree with Tul, let's go through it somewhere a little more private.", Ostran suggests.

While helping move the bodies to a more discrete area, Ostran notices a pair of used gloves tucking into one of the xivort's belt. After almost cutting himself on some debris, he decides to put them on.
"My name is Ostran. It is very nice to meet you. Do you know why you are in such a dangerous place Jolin?", Ostran asks smiling.
Ostran looks directly into Jolin's eyes and says, "Can you tell me your name?"
"What happened here?", Ostran asks Tulgeikh.
I am still interested, and my girlfriend would be interested as long as the gaming nights would be on weekends that she doesn't have her kids that weekend.
"No problem. Hey to find the others, let's look for what they were looking for. Didn't Balgron or Tul say something about 'blue-gnomes'?" Ostran asks. "What do you think?"
"Lam,never tease an orc. They may tear your arm off", Ostran jokes as he walks up to him. "Shall we go find the others?"

Ostran decides to sneak around and go through the back.
"It couldn't hurt to come back tomorrow to look for her again, would it?", he says with a smile and a wink of his own. "Have a good day." He adds as he leaves and goes back to the orphanage. He will still keep an eye out for the half elf girl from before.
"I understand but it is really important. When she is free tell her to meet me at the 'Our Lady of the Garden' orphanage in the Broken Arch district. Tell her to ask for Ostran." He smiles at the teen as he looks into her eyes.
"I am looking for a woman by the name of Kurala. In a stroke of luck, I ran into her while looking for a cleric or healer. She sent someone to help a friend of mine, so I wanted to thank her."
Ostran asks the drunk man politely to take a seat and he will be seen as soon as possible.
Ostran goes to the healer's place to find Kurala.
Goes looking for Kurala at House J.
Ostran is actually going to go back to the Temple where Mevitari is and hope that the House J rep is there.
Ostran quickly takes off the cloak, stuffs it in his shirt, messes up his hair, rubs some dirt (or manure, if there is any nearby) on his face, and limps away.
"Yes sir", Ostran says as he heads off towards the Halfling quarter.
