Array: Mystic Paper Transformation See below for Alternate Forms
Cursed Parchment Ninja Form"
Lighter than air, this form is barely their as it is made of mostly old, wrinkled, and cursed parchment. It blends easily into the background, and though it can't deal damage per se, a simple touch can rend one's form in the same miserable state as itself. In this form, Kevin is much more crueler than normal and acts as debuffer while trying to avoid combat.
"Folded Layers Samurai Form"
Sheet's of pristine paper layered over and and over again lead to a material stronger than steel. Heavy and durable, the iron katana this form wields is stronger than forged steel and its armor is made of the written records of thousands of ancient battles, passing their prowess to this warrior. In this form, Kevin acts as a General with centuries of experience and enjoys fighting on the front-lines of battle. Usually reasonable, but can get carried away in "the splendor of a worthy match."
"Twin Creased Gemini Form"
An experimental form in the highest sense, Kevin came across this particular one when experimenting on his family as he searched for a way to keep his spirit intact. He thought by tying onto his family he'd be able to ground himself with their memories. Rather, he instead became completely overtaken by them and acted as an almost perfect copy (minus the being made of paper part). It takes a lot to knock him out of this form, as he believes with 100% confidence he is the person he's mimicking.
The only thing Kevin Lee remembered was a small, cramped trade store deep in the alley's of Chinatown. His father had gone for groceries and he was content to wander and window-shop. It was a peculiar object that drew him to enter in the first place, an elaborate display of origami creatures, at least, he thought they were creatures. Some looked human, but others were a mass of tentacles, or had two gaping maws. The small creations were so tantalizing to examine each and every detail.
The shopkeeper soon appeared, a short wrinkled old woman who breathed in smoke from a long, thin pipe. She smiled as she grabbed his arm with a bony hand and led him to the counter top. She then laid sheets of paper out, each with a different image.Flip here. Hold there, crease. Turn, and cross. Flip, and Fold.
Soon there was a small creature moving about the countertop as if it were alive. The shopkeeper smiled and slid the paper towards him. Excited he reached out to touch it.
And then he woke up in the middle of the street, a crowd bystanders standing around him. He didn't realize the change within him until later, when helping his father carrying large sacks of rice inside the house. His form expanded and he became a large samurai, his entirety as white and pristine as fresh paper. Sword and everything.
They lost a sack of rice when his father dropped it out of surprise. A few moments later, after shock had subsided, he was ushered inside the house where he was fretted over until he naturally returned to normal form.
Months later, Kevin sets off. The news of the EAGLES death is fresh in his mind and he wonder's to himself if he could make a difference. Could he inherit the legacy of EAGLES?
Background:
Motivation - Looking for Balance
While the cursed origami may have given Kevin Lee powers beyond imagining, the life that lives within the folds is starting to encroach on his own. At first he was able to control any form independently, but these days he can only give each form an intention of what he wants and they take it from there. He worries that it won't be long until he can't return after transforming. So now he searches for someone who can keep his spirit whole.
Enemy - Triad
The Triad know of the existence of the cursed origami, and were planning to use it to gain more of a foothold in the world. Now that Kevin Lee has it, they are making plans to take it back.
Honor - Personal Beliefs instilled from Family
Kevin was always taught to be a good person, and that to give in to evil doings would weaken his spirit. Because of this, he always does his best to be as forthcoming as possible. This really comes to bite him when an "ego" of a different form does something he would never agree to.
Identity - Only Family knows
Kevin attends college courses at the community college. His family knows what happened to him: his father is proud of his newfound strength, his sister doesn't really care unless he meets someone famous, his mother worries a lot, and his grandfather speaks few words unless he gives him profound advice. They usually help though when push comes to shove about maintaining his secrecy.
Relationship - Family
They know the secret, but aren't really worried. They're weird like that.
Weakness - Water
It turns out being made of paper makes you much less effective in water. Until he reverts to human form or another form that is impervious to water, Kevin will grow weaker and heavier in the water.
