About Oraeth Antaeres

In what seems like a lifetime ago, Oraeth worked security for the mining consortium The Prospectors on their remote terraforming project known as Lothun. Contrary to the commonly accepted story, he is one of the few people who knows that the project did not run amok on its own but was sabotaged by one faction of The Prospectors who hijacked the nano-forges with a software update. The forges continue to remake Lothun, but for who, or what? Oraeth was offsite flying a survey mission when the first rogue nano-storm rocked Lothun. He managed to escape and report back to the consortium who arranged an extraction point to collect his survey data and a copy of the software patch. The extraction turned out to be an ambush that the Lashunta was able to turn around. He has been on the run since. There have been multiple other attempts on his life in the last five years, but Oraeth has learned to see things coming and has been setting traps for his pursuers and has begun tugging at the strings to unravel the heavily encrypted software patch and who designed it. It was that effort which eventually brought him to the Dataphiles of Absalom Station.
