Olp emerges from the water, dragging out the sputtering Sa'rah'then'al. with him. He drops his companion to the floor of the cave and shrugs off the extra backpack. Taking up a defensive position just ahead of the party, he keeps an eye out for anything which might approach. Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Olp shrugs Sa'rah'then'al's pack onto his own shoulders. Seeing that the other kobold seems to be walking into the pool, Olp rushes forward hissing. He tackles him by the waist, knocking them both into the water. Holding onto the black scaled kobold, he begins propelling them down through the pool to the hole with sweeping strokes of his powerful tail. Swim: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Sa'rah'then'al wrote: Sorry about my silence. I must've missed the notification or something along those lines. If I am silent for a bit please PM me and I will respond most likely within a few hours >.< I had the same issue, but only with this game. All of the others were notifying just fine. Weird. Um, am I the only one who didn't choose Common as an additional language? Kobolds don't start with Common. I'm surprised anyone understood the humans.
Olp jumps into the water swimming like a alligator, using his powerful tail to propel himself through the pond. Should Sa'rah'then'al still require assistance, he helps the inquisitor across. Take 10 for 16. Sorry for not posting earlier. I did not receive any updates from this game since Sunday night. Weird because the rest of the games I'm in are updating just fine.
Olp knows that there is supposed to be a holy flame matching his own hue at the pond. The party needs to understand that they should follow all paths leading to the right and natural color. Apologies, Jeji, that was OOC and I should have put it here in the discussion thread. Olp could not have communicated that in Kobold.
Assuming the bird is out of reach over the hearth... Olp hisses at the blackbird, but at Jenji's insistance, he grabs two armfuls of whatever sat next to him before stepping towards the door. Speaking as a free action, full round action to scoop up goodies and treats, then 5' toward the door. EDIT: Wait a minute! Holding the above to see the results of Reep's action.
Earlier in the day Olp gasps in shock as the dead kobold that was Sa'rah'then'al rose up from the ground. When it spoke in his voice, the violet kobold skittered back behind several of his fellows. Baring his teeth from between the legs of the other kobolds, he watched as the corpse-come-alive used magic and the grievous wounds sealed shut with nary a scar. He hissed until he realized that the undead creature was actually still the unholy inquisitor. His scales slowly smoothing back out, he cautiously approached the risen kobold until he was close enough to smell him. When there was no scent of rot, he pounced on the black scaled dragon and embraced him in a powerful hug. Unslinging his backpack, he handed it back to the other kobold and happily followed his tribe mates. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Later that night Following his fellows, he quietly crept along through the human settlement. Staring down at where the unholy light should be shining, he nearly wept in disappointment at it's absence. Olp looke to the others for a sign of how to proceed.
Spitting to get the awful taste out of his mouth, Olp slithers back out of the slurk's gullet. Taking a last look at the dead kobold, he hangs his head and sighs before reaching down and taking the backpack from off of the corpse and heaving it onto his back with the other two packs. I know, I know, but if you're just laying there then you're dead.
Olp poked Sa'rah'then'al and he didn't move, so he's definitely dead... at least until he gets up and proves he's alive. Baring his fangs and hissing in a mixture of anger, disgust and delight, the violet scaled kobold shimmies down after the worm snapping at it as he tries to bite it to death. Bite attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Draco Voodoo wrote: Olp had to move so no full attack that round, but I just used his other rolls to finish things up. combat over. Cool, cool Olp rubs at his bruised ribs where the worm hit him with it's barb. He moves back to Sa'rah'then'al's still body and crouches down next to it, sniffing at him and gently prodding him with a single claw.
At the sight of the orange and black worms, Olp hisses and moves to strike at the worms coiling around Sa'rah'then'al. Bite attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Dagger attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Tail attack: 1d20 ⇒ 15 Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Worn out from the heat, possibly from the extra weight of Ipmerk's pack, Olp digs himself into the center of the kobolds as they lay beneath the dark cover of the shelter. He sleeps deeply and long before rising well after sundown. He blearily blinks, his nictating membranes closing and opening just before his lids. Looking around, he takes food from Ipmerk's pack and moves a few paces away to eat, huddled down and warily eyeing the others.

I took your latest damage as for that attack and not a cumulative total of both bites. I had it as -5 for the first bite on the charge last round and -11 on the bite crit this round for a total of -16.
Draco Voodoo wrote: Olp- re: lash, reach weapons can't make adjacent attacks, yes? Whips are reach weapons that can make adjacent attacks. It's a lash, which is more similar to a whip than any other printed reach weapon, but I leave it to your discretion on whether or not it can hit adjacent enemies. As for other players, I'm in a thread gauging interest for an AP and Iron Gods is one of the top votes, so we may find interest there from players. It would also serve to diminish the number of votes for Iron Gods which only helps my pick of Legacy of Fire (they are currently tied), so I'm not altogether altruistic in this suggestion.
Olp wails in pain at the gnashing of the wolf's fangs. He stabs with the dagger in his hand while simultaneously lashing out with the long lash and biting at the wolf. prone dagger melee attack: 1d20 ⇒ 6 damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 prone bite attack: 1d20 ⇒ 5 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 prone long lash attack: 1d20 - 5 ⇒ (2) - 5 = -3 damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Wow! Those are pitiful rolls
I like your system for combat. I do not currently have any recommendations for maps. Olp will always be sticking to the other party members. At worst, he will not stray more than 20 ft. from the farthest one (archetype feature depends on 20'). If we need another player will you be starting with the other applicants who were not selected?
Draco Voodoo wrote: AoOlp That's funny Olp's violently starts at the booming blast of Reep's staff. His eyes grow wide at the smoke issuing from it's end. When the wolves begin to charge, he almost steps back until his baser instincts kick in and he bares his teeth. With a flick of his tail, the long lash strikes out at the lead wolf. Reach melee attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Olp sticks very close to the other kobolds. He seems most drawn to the other one with purple scales, although he tends to keep looking around to make sure all of the others are close by. When the black scaled kobold stops at the edge of a clearing and samples something on the ground, Olp cautiously steps up and bends down to sniff at the glowing substance. No knowledge outside of engineering, so I won't attempt a check. By the way, Reep, are your scales standard purple or some other shade?
