My wife, good friend and I are looking for a GM to play PF1. We're up for any of the adventure paths or even a homebrew. We're looking to play weekly Saturday or Sunday, and will consider pay for play. I have ~6 years of experience playing and GMing, wife has slightly less and friend has a year.

We've been looking on roll20 though it's slim pickings.

Ehhhhhh....

Personally I'd say learning PF2 is highly more worth it in the long run, and might even be LESS work than converting some of this.

However, there are plenty of the enemies that have good equivalent stats in PF1 already, or are PF1 bestiary entries already. The main part will be converting the unique enemies and stuff into PF1.

** spoiler omitted **

Three of my players are real new with a dozen sessions and I'd hate to ask them to learn something new plus buying hero lab and books if they wanted it. Seeing that paizo has stopped making APs for 1st it will probably be something we'll move to in the future maybe this will be the catalist for the change.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

My established group is playing first edition and I bought this AP not considering that it was solely 2nd edition. With a few of my players being new to 1st edition and not wanting to have them learn a new system, how difficult would it be to convert this AP 1st edition?

Thanks

Not sure if you guys fixed it on your end or if what I did fixed it on mine, but I followed your steps and then closed all browsers and was able to log in at the front page again.

Thanks for the assist, not being able to log in was a serious pain.

This is what I did:

Try clearing your cookies, then point your browser to any forum page and immediately log in from there. Don't travel to the home page or other top-level pages until you've logged in. Then I closed all browsers and opened Chrome went to the front page and it allowed me to log in.

Mind you, previously I had cleared all cookies multiple times, the trick must have been to log in to a specific forum page?

Logging in to a specific forum page did the trick for me. I'm now able to log in via my PC. Thought it didn't work trying to login from the homepage. Seems like there's a serious issue, and this is a workaround.

I've cleared my cache and history on all my browsers PC and phone. I can login via my phone on the same internet connect as my PC via Samsungs browser app but not Chrome. I even tried my wife's account and it still had the same issue. I've tried a VPN, and used my 4g with the same affect. I've tried a different laptop using firefox that is barebones same results. If I can't login to two different accounts how many others have the same issue and can't post for help for that same reason.

I've been trying to login to my account on my PC and I'm unable to. I've tried Firefox, Chrome and Egde, all three just go back to the previous page without logging it. I've also tried on my phone and the only web browser that works is Samsung's browser.

Also been trying to purchase a book/pdf and found that nothing adds to the cart. Luckily I found that I can get access via my phones browser, the chrome app on my phone doesn't work btw.

Hello!!

So I've looked through my Core book, APG, Bestiary and GM book trying to figure out what effects weaknesses have on NPCs, PC's and Monsters. For example:

I cast a fireball on a Ice Giant that has a weakness against Fire. What kind of bonus would the caster get?

Another example:

If I cast a fireball on a NPC or monster that had a wooden shield or gear that was vulnerable to fire, what kind of effect would it have like could it burn it up, or make it useless? Would I roll a D20 to determine this?

Also it would be a great help to know where I can read about this so I'm not constantly asking the messageboards.

Thanks Oliaran

WOW!! Thanks for the help and quick response. I wasn't absolutely sure the broken scimitar had an effect on the claw or not. Reading it over again it does say

Melee broken scimitar +0 (1d6), claw –3 (1d4+1) or 2 claws +2 (1d4+2)

key word being OR. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for that in the future when creating or adding creatures to my list of encounters.

Thanks again!!!

Hello, I'm new to the forums and basically a noob to Pathfinders with only 4 sessions of GMing and playing a character under my belt. I've been gathering a list a creatures to fight for my upcoming encounters. I like to understand all the stats, so when it comes time to create my own I'm knowledgeable enough to do it without issues.

I've come across one problem that I can't figure out. The basic Human Skeleton has a -3 attack bonus for claw and +2 attack bonus for 2 claws.(see link)

http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/monsters/skeleton.html#_skeleton

My question is why one(1)claw has a -3 attack bonus and what stats add up or subtract to -3 attack bonus for one(1)claw.

Thanks Oliaran
