hello all, first time on these forums i was reviewing feats and i love feint.

the ability in question is Two weapon feint in UC rulebook. the quick description on page 82(5th from the bottom) describes the feat as

"Make a Bluff check instead of your first attack"

on page 106 in UC the full text says this

"Your primary weapon keeps a foe off balance, allowing you
to slip your off-hand weapon past his defenses.
Prerequisites: Dex 17, Int 13, Combat Expertise, Improved
Two-Weapon Fighting, Two-Weapon Fighting, base attack
bonus +6.
Benefit: While using Two-Weapon Fighting to make
melee attacks, you can forgo your first primary-hand melee
attack to make a Bluff check to feint an opponent. If you
successfully feint, that opponent is denied his Dexterity
bonus to AC until the end of your turn."

The brief description isn't worded weirdly; it completely contradicts the full body description. what part of that is free? do you think this may be a printing error?

which would you allow?

****enter rant****

a free bluff check means 1 extra attack when taking a full attack, and the ability to feint while taking a standard action/ability after moving. I really like this idea since it fills a niche which allows non-gimmick feint builds an option to feint and retain mobility.

furthermore it just make sense, heck hes dual wielding and making a single attack, so what else would he be doing with the other hand anyway?

i like the idea of promoting non-gimmick builds *edit* otherwise i would just roll ninja and take ki-pool hit to get a move action+ full action or something similiar

oh yeah and this is my first post so ah, good to see a thriving community, i quit thinking 4th ed killed my childhood game, its good to see everyone here keeping it alive and thriving.
