The kneeling general took his battered helmet off and raised his aged, scarred face to peer into the warrior’s eyes. Though his forces were being routed he smiled: You have no idea what you’ve done. I’ve been where you’re going. You think you’ve saved this world, but all you’ve done is damned yourself. He spit to emphasize his point, and kept his head raised high. Go on, finish it.
Norowas thrust his blade before the sentence was finished, sending a fountain of arterial spray into the air. He looked around at the chaos of battle, confident that he’d made the right decision to rid the people of the oppressive, recently-returned leader and his army of orcs and draconum. He took off at a run to join his army, and his vision went black.
When he awoke, the mageknight was in a strange, desolate land, all alone. He was unaccustomed to solitude, but he had long years of experience upon which to draw. He set out in search of others who could keep him better informed of his surroundings, and maybe a hint at some knowledge that could send him home.

Flagbearer[Level 3], As long as he holds his clan, house, or party’s flag, members of that allegiance within 30 feet who can see the flag (including Norowas) gain a +1 morale bonus on attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, and saving throws against fear and charm effects. He must hold the flag in one hand in order to grant this bonus. If the standard is taken by the enemy or destroyed, this bonus becomes a penalty, affecting all creatures that the bonus previously affected for 1 hour (or until he reclaims the lost flag).
Soulfire [Soulfire Master 4], Norowas may accept 2 or more points of Constitution burn as a free action. Doing so grants 1 temporary spell point per 2 points of burn that expires at the end of his turn. Half the damage of any destructive blast these temporary spell points are spent on becomes untyped damage and the blast bypasses spell resistance. The number of spell points granted per 2 points of burn increases by +1 every ten character levels. He cannot use this ability if doing so would reduce his constitution to 0. Norowas may use burning lore when using the Soulfire feat with no risk of backlash.

The Dark Hero: While human, whenever Norowas uses a spell or ability that grants his allies a morale bonus, that bonus lasts for 1 round longer than it normally would. Additionally, he receives a +1 trait bonus to Diplomacy. This bonus increases to +2 when interacting with those who are already friendly or helpful towards him

Burning (Forbidden) Lore (Su) 2 Norowas may, as part of the action required to use a spell or sphere effect, increase his caster level by 2 for that effect. This applies to variables dependent on a particular casting of an effect (damage, duration, number of targets etc.), but it does not apply to his total caster level with that sphere (i.e., it does not determine the strength of a companion from the Conjuration sphere, nor to the total number of HD of reanimated creatures that may be controlled through the Death sphere). This bonus increases by +1 at 5th level, and by an additional +1 for every 4 levels thereafter to a maximum of +6 at 17th level.
Whenever Norowas uses burning lore to enhance his magic, there is a 50% chance he will suffer backlash; the spell is completed normally and Norowas suffers a point of Constitution burn. A soulfire master cannot use this ability if doing so would reduce his Constitution to 0. This ability otherwise acts as forbidden lore, including the caster level bonus increasing with class level and for effects that modify the chance of backlash. Norowas may use burning lore when using the Soulfire feat with no risk of backlash. Note: Ability Burn Ability burn functions as ability score damage, but may not be removed by any means other than 8 hours of resting, which removes all burn.
Occult Knowledge Norowas gains a +1 bonus to all Knowledge checks, Spellcraft checks, and Use Magic Device checks. This bonus increases by 1 for every 4 additional thaumaturge levels possessed, to a maximum of +5 at 18th level.
Bardic Knowledge (Ex) 2 Norowas adds half his class level (min 1) to all Knowledge skill checks and may make all Knowledge skill checks untrained.

Invocations (4x/day) Norowas may use invocations a number of times per day equal to his casting ability modifier, which refreshes when he rests to regain spell points. Whenever an invocation calls for a saving throw, the DC is equal to 10 + 1/2 the thaumaturge’s level + Cha modifier. Norowas may only use invocations of his level or lower. Using an invocation is a free action that may be taken even when it isn't Norowas’ turn.
Meditation Norowas may reroll a failed Knowledge check. He may only use this ability once for any given Knowledge check.
Lingering Pain When using burning lore to augment a spell or sphere effect, Norowas may use an invocation to cause the affected targets to become sickened for 1 round (DC 16 Fortitude negates).
Lingering Blessing 4 When using burning lore to augment a spell or sphere effect, Norowas may use an invocation to cause the affected targets to gain 1 temporary hit point per thaumaturge level. These temporary hit points stack with any the target already possesses, and last for 1 round.
Empowered Defense When using burning lore to augment a spell or sphere effect, Norowas may use an invocation to grant himself a dodge bonus to AC equal to his burning lore bonus for a number of rounds equal to his Cha modifier.
Empowered Attack When using burning lore to augment a spell or sphere effect, Norowas may use an invocation to grant himself a bonus to attack rolls equal to his forbidden lore bonus for a number of rounds equal to his Cha modifier.

Skilled Casting Norowas must create his magic through singing; his magic is tied to Perform (Sing). He must succeed at a skill check to use any sphere ability. The DC of this skill check is 15 + the ability’s caster level. For every 2 points by which this skill check falls short of this DC, the ability manifests at -1 caster level. If this reduces the ability to a caster level below 0, the manifested ability fails and any spell points used are lost. Norowas must use Perform (Sing) to use his magic, which is similar to but not the same as possessing other drawbacks. For example, a caster who uses music to create magic must be able to speak, but unless he also possesses Verbal Casting he can do so quietly and not break stealth.
Verbal Casting You must speak in a loud, clear voice to cast spells. Using magic alerts all nearby hearing creatures to your presence and location, effectively breaking stealth. You cannot cast in an area of magical silence, or in any other situation where you are unable to speak clearly
Empowered Abilities Norowas’ magic grows in strength the more he uses it. If his current number of spell points is half his total spell points or less, he gains a temporary +1 bonus to his caster level. If his current number of spell points is 0, the temporary bonus to his caster level becomes +2.
Magic Talents
Hex
Dark Orb 2d6: Medium range, 1d6 points of bludgeoning damage per two caster levels.
Resonate: Spend souls to power up Hexes. The maximum amount of souls he can spend at once is equal to 10 x his caster level.
Resonate Soul: Whenever Norowas uses his Dark Orb ability he can spend 10 souls to deal an additional 2 points of damage for every caster level he possesses. Every 10 souls he spends increases this additional damage by 2.
Numbness: As a standard action Norowas can touch a creature, granting them temporary hit points equal to his caster level + his Cha modifier (minimum: 1). Unlike normal temporary hit points, this ability can only be used on an injured target and cannot raise a target’s current hit points plus their temporary hit points to be higher than their total hit points. This benefit lasts for 1 hour per caster level. Temporary hit points, even from different sources, do not stack; only the highest bonus applies.
Affinity: Norowas may spend a spell point when using his dark orb ability to create an additional projectile for every 5 caster levels he possesses (minimum 1 additional project).He may use these additional dark orbs to target any creature within range.
Miracle
Lightning Spear 2d6: Medium range, 1d6 points of electricity damage per two caster levels.
Heal Excerpt 1d8 + 4: As a standard action, Norowas may spend a spell point to touch a target and heal it an amount of damage equal to 1d8 + your caster level.
Caressing Prayer: As a standard action, Norowas may touch a target and spend a spell point to restore their physical and mental health. This accomplishes all of the following
• Heals 1d4 points of ability damage to one ability score of your choice.
• Removes the fatigued condition or lessens exhaustion to fatigued.
• Removes the sickened condition or lessens nauseated to sickened.
• Removes the shaken condition or lessens panicked to frightened and frightened to shaken.
• Removes the staggered condition
• Removes the dazzled condition
If the condition targeted is part of an on-going effect, this suppresses the effect for a number of rounds equal to your caster level. This cannot be used to remove curses or instantaneous effects.
Sacred Oath: As a standard action Norowas may grant himself and his allies within 25 ft + 5 ft per 2 caster levels a +2 sacred bonus to all damage rolls. This bonus increases by 1 for every 5 caster levels. He must concentrate to maintain a sacred oath, but he may spend a spell point as a free action to allow a sacred oath to remain for 1 round per caster level without concentration.
