Nme’an watches the elementals rush into the room and lay waste to the skeletons. Rather than take a swing at the nearest for, the Paladin thrust his shield forward and sends an expanding wave of golden light flooding through the room.

Though he is concerned for the druidess' companion, Nme'an leaves the tiger in her care and gets back to doing what he does best: Vanquishing evil. He steps back into the room and swings his Warhammer at the skeleton nearest Shark.

Nme'an dodges under the Ogre's arm, spins, and delivers a powerful counterattack.

The dark sorcerer's touch nearly freezes Nme'an, but a combination of faith and strength see the Knight through. A quick touch of his hand sees some of his frozen flesh restored.

Seeing too many enemies to handle on his own, Nme'an backs out of the room then casts one of his last few spells on the druidess' tiger. "I need some help in there, tiger... Shark...." he says as he grants the animal protection From evil. (Shark gets +2AC, +2 to saves, and gets to reroll his fear roll.)

...but one of the touches hurts a good deal more than the other.

Still, he spots a chance to strike back at the skeleton who did the greater harm, and...

...lands a light hit against it as it withdraws.

As before, an unfamiliar spell catches Nme'an's eye...

...and as before, he is unable to make sense of it.

Wincing from the cold and the hit he took, Nme'an calls upon divine healing to help him stay in the fight:

Not seeing a lot of options to move forward, Nme'an again takes a swing at the biggest target in the room...

...which his divine fury again sees him strike true against.

Instead of shrugging, though, Nme’an grips his hammer more firmly and whispers a small prayer before striking back at the hulk.

With that done, he readies his shield and Warhammer then pushes through the door to the room with the chanting.

”I do not like the idea of either of you going alone,” Nme’an admits. ”Perhaps if one of us went while the other two distracted?” He thinks for a long moment then says, ”Except... our enemy has been spying on us. They know how many of us there are. Just vanishing one of us might not help... Is there some way we could use the invisibility at a more opportune moment?”

Nme'an attempts to peer through a keyhole or a gap in the doors to get a glimpse on what is waiting for them.

Nme'an takes the ring and says, "An interesting find. Thank you, Bi Sevenstone."

He then gets a thoughtful look for a moment and carefully places the ring flat on the palm of his outstretched hand which he slowly tilts sideways until the ring slides off his hand and falls to the floor. It does not impact with a startlingly solid thud, nor does it waft gently to the ground. It just drops, like a normal ring, bounces, then begins to roll until he quickly stops it by stepping on it with his foot.

"Probably was not far enough..." he mumbles as he picks the ring back up and puts it on.

Nme’an bristles. ”I meant, was he back in control of himself or did I need to take him out of the fight until his mind could be healed. I do apologize for your wounds. He was stronger than I had thought.”

Upon further thought, Nme’an places a hand on his neck wound and directs divine energy to close the punctures.

The Paladin takes a look at the room and picks up his warhammer. Then he sees the charred remains of the Vampire’s scroll on the floor. He carefully stoops down to inspect it, curious if his blast of flames was worth the trouble.

"Enough of this," Nme'an says while drawing his sword. He strikes a gallant pose with his sword held vertical before him as says a silent prayer, and then darts forward to strike at Duridel.
(Nme'an uses Smite Evil on the vampire. 1/2 uses remaining. Adds 3[Cha] to attack and +5[Paladin] to damage. If the creature is undead the damage increases by 2 x 5[Paladin and bypasses all damage resistance]. Nme'an also gains 3[Cha] bonus to AC vs the target of Smite Evil. )

Nme’an watches the skeleton before him then takes the opportunity to move forward towards the smirking vampire and his unrolled parchment. In one smooth motion, the Knight of the Dawnflower stretches out his hand, drops his warhammer, and fills the space between himself and the Vampire, along with his recently revealed scroll, with fire.

(Nme’an casts Burning Hands that says: “Flammable materials burn if the flames touch them. A character can extinguish burning items as a full-round action.”)

Nme'an is briefly taken aback by Shark's tearing apart of a second skeleton, but then the Knight Lieutenant looks up to Duridel with a smile, twirls his Warhammer effortlessly in his hand just to show it was unaffected by the creature's odd spell, then takes a swing at another skeleton.

"Enough of this. We are here to rid this tower of evil. One of two things will happen now. Either you will tell us how to reach your master then dispell your skeletons and leave this place in peace, or you and your minions will be dispatched here and now before you are able to reach your master's side. This is your once offer of mercy. You should take it.
